  • Note: Carol M. Frederickson, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 28, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born December 3, 1935, in Dundas, WI, daughter of the late Clarence and Rose (Van Handel) Wolfinger. Carol was united in marriage to Donald M. Frederickson on April 4, 1975. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and collecting snow babies and swans.

    She is survived by her husband, Donald; her sons: David Genslak and his children, Tyler and Ashley, and fiance Kelly Lancour and her children, Amanda and Lydia of Dundas; Keith (Sandie) Frederickson and their children, Austen and Ian of Hollandtown; Jeffrey (Donna) Frederickson and their children, Aaron, Andrew, and Evan of Kaukauna; James (Christine) Frederickson and their children, Stephanie and Brittany of Freedom; a daughter, Christine (Peter) Johnson of Argonne, WI and their children, Luke (Andrea) of Crandon, Cindy (Matt) Brazeau of Crandon, Andrew, Kate, Ben, and Bobbi Jo, all at home; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Clarence Jr. (Bonnie) Wolfinger, sisters: Mary Rolf and special friend, Bernie Novak, Dorothy (Daniel) Ryan, Grace (Lenny) Zwiers, Nancy (Jerry) Mattison, sister-in-law, Karla Wolfinger, brother-in-law, Stanley Genslak,, brother-in-law, Tom Genslak, sister-in-law, Joan Genslak, and sister-in-law, Sandy Iwota. She is also survived by her husband's family, his brothers: Harold, Richard (Evie), Kenny (Janet), and Vernon (Carol); his sister, Phyllis Janssen, brother-in-law, Donald Spierings, and sisters-in-law, Joyce Frederickson, and Joan Frederickson.

    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Adolph Genslak, her husband's parents, Adolph Sr. and Ellie Genslak, her son, Donald Genslak, grandson, Danny Genslak, grandson, Matt Johnson, brother, Lawrence Wolfinger, brother, Richard Wolfinger, sister-in-law, Donna Wolfinger, sister-in-law, Barbara Wolfinger, and brother-in-law, Robert Rolf Sr. She is further preceded in death by her husband's family: his parents, Robert and Grace Frederickson, 3 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law: Darvin, Ray (Marge), Roger, and Genevieve Frederickson, sister, Janet Spierings, and a brother-in-law, Jim Janssen.

    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH AT ST. FRANCIS CHURCH, County Rd CE, Hollandtown with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Friday, April 1, 2011, at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna 920-766-2099 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at which time a parish prayer service will conclude the evening. Friends may call again on Saturday directly at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.

    We will miss her laughter and warm sense of humor, she will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten, peace be with you Carol!
