    Dietzen, Thomas A.


    Thomas A. Dietzen, age 53, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday evening, May 6, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 29, 1955, to the late Anton "Tony" and Eunice (Ashauer) Dietzen, in Appleton, was raised in Darboy and then became a resident of Seymour. Tom had been employed by Miller Electric for 35 years and for a period of time, Tom and his siblings owned and operated the Tri County Golf Range, Darboy. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, sturgeon spearing, the Packers, NASCAR and had just recently purchased his dream Harley and had enjoyed one short ride. Tom was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour.

    He is survived by two children: Kelsey and Trace Dietzen, both at home; a brother, Dennis (Barb) Dietzen, Darboy; a brother-in-law, Steve Weigman, Kimberly; a nephew, Tim (Jennifer) Dietzen, Freedom; three nieces: Jen (Eric) Drumm, Fox Point, WI; Amy (Jeff) Grilli, Colorado; his godchild, Katie (John) Carew, Combined Locks; and his special friend, Sherry Manteuffel and her family; his former wife Annette Dietzen; and his dog, Angel.

    He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Weigman.

    A celebration of Tom's life will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 349 N. Main Street, Seymour, at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009, with Reverend Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy. Friends may call at the church from 2 p.m. Sunday, until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

    Live life to the fullest, take nothing for granted, and spend much time with your loved ones.

  • Death: He died on June 23, 2010, at age 69.
  • Note: Gary David Meeuwsen passed into eternal life with his wife by his side on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, after a 4-year battle with cancer. He was born in De Pere, to the late Norbert and Verona (Smits) Meeuwsen on Sept. 16, 1940. He graduated from East De Pere High School and spent most of his life as a semi-trailer salesman, most recently for Ridgeway Trailer Sales. On Nov. 27, 1969, he married Linda Ambach and they enjoyed 40 wonderful years together.

    Gary loved people, cooking on the Weber, his many road trips with his LaLe and just hanging out on the deck with family and friends.

    He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Linda; his daughter, Melissa and special family friend, Denise Roseland; his mother-in-law, Sylvia Ambach; two brothers, Paul (Alice) Meeuwsen, De Pere; and John Meeuwsen, Appleton; two sisters, Karen (Ron) Halper, Illinois; and Dianne (Tom) Brooker, Indiana; two brothers-in-law, Jeff (Jane) Ambach, Delavan and Gary (Julie) Ambach, Minnesota; a sister-in-law, Carol Jones; many special nieces and nephews; and his 4-legged girls, Sue Ann and Sadie.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Austin Ambach; one brother, Nick; his sister, Margaret; and his best friend, Jim Fox.

    Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Incarnation Lutheran Church, 2071 9th Street, where the funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Keith Swanson officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.

    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.

    The family wishes to express many thanks to those who called, sent cards and were supportive to Gary during his long illness. Also a special thank you to Pastor Keith Swanson for his many visits and friendship, Scot Berkovitz, Lisa and Carrie, Ridgeway Trailers, The Fox family, Sue Engberg, Jerry Cornelius, Tom Casper, Dr. Nancy Davis and the staffs of The Lombardi Cancer Center and Unity Hospice for the outstanding care they gave to Gary.   • Birth: Dianne Lynn Meeuwsen was born on December 1, 1948 in DePere, Brown Co, Wisconsin.
  • Marriage: She and Thomas Gerald Brooker were married on August 20, 1971.
  • Death: Dianne Lynn Meeuwsen died on February 12, 2014, at age 65.
  • Burial: She was buried in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Dianne Lynn Meeuwsen Brooker, Mulliken, Mich., died Feb. 12, 2014, after a short battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 1, 1948, to the late Norbert and Verona (Smits) Meeuwsen, De Pere, Wis. Dianne graduated from St. Joseph Academy and Saint Norbert College with a B.A. in English. On Aug. 20, 1971, Dianne married Thomas G. Brooker.

    They spent 42 years together until Tom died on Nov. 14, 2013.

    While raising their family in Menasha, Dianne frequently participated in volunteer activities to support local schools and was an active sponsor of various youth organizations and Girl Scouts. She was a longtime member of Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church of Neenah, Wis.

    Dianne worked for many years in the publishing industry, including Pisani Graphics and Banta Corporation, both located in Menasha. She was passionate about reading, education, and family. Dianne also enjoyed fishing with her husband, watching the Green Bay Packers play and playing cards with her brothers.

    Dianne is survived by three children, her son, Daniel Brooker, San Antonio, Texas, her daughter-in-law, Connie Brooker, Plantersville, Texas; and their children, Madison, Joseph, Lauren and Nicholas Brooker; and her daughters Clare Corcoran and Jane Brooker, Mulliken, Mich. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul (Alice) Meeuwsen, De Pere; and John Meeuwsen, Appleton; her sister, Karen (Ron) Halper, Winnetka, Ill.; her sisters-in-law, Linda Meeuwsen, Green Bay; and Carol Meeuwsen-Jones, Oshkosh; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, Tom, Dianne was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret, her brothers, Nicholas and Gary, and her son-in-law, Timothy Corcoran.

    A memorial service for Dianne and Thomas Brooker will be held in De Pere this summer. Burial will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sparrow Hospice Foundation, PO Box 30480, Lansing, MI 48909.
