  • Note: Beverly A. Havel, 64, Kaukauna, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on December 4, 2013 after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Beverly was born June 22, 1949 in Kaukauna to Gladys Zielke and the late Jerome Vosters. She graduated from Freedom High School. On August 4, 2000 she was united in marriage to Richard Havel. Bev made many friends throughout her working career at Rich's Bakery, Outagamie County Airport, and Chartwells Food Service. She enjoyed playing cards, taking trips with her sisters and spending time with her grandchildren. Bev will be most remembered for being devoted to her large family, her infectious sense of humor and her compassion for others.

    Beverly is survived by her supportive husband, Richard Havel; her mother, Gladys Zielke; her children: Lisa (Wisneski) Griesbach, Chad Wisneski (fiancée, Amber Schwoch); son-in-law, Randy Griesbach; step-children: Patrick (Aileen) Havel and Tami (Gene) Paalman; four grandchildren: Joshua (Nicole), Cayden and Teaka Griesbach and Jackson Wisneski; two step-grandchildren: Eldon and Myriam Paalman; 10 brothers and sisters: Darlene (Robert) Berghuis, James Vosters, Sue (Michael) Stratton, Eugene (Cindy) Vosters, Verna Linjer, Lawrence Vosters, Leland Vosters, Laurie (Alan) Baldwin, Sharon (Scott) Spiegelberg, Lonnie Vosters; and fifteen brothers and sisters-in-law. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends including Sharon Havel and Joan Heindl.

    Bev was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Vosters; step-father, George Zielke; and a step sister-in-law.

    The Mass of Christian Burial for Bev will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. concluding the evening. Friends may call again directly at church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.     Age 72, died Monday, November 4, 1996 at St. Elizabeth Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born October 27, 1924 in Kaukauna, the daughter of the Bert and Rose Liethen.

    She married Frank Evers October 30, 1938 at Kaukauna and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1993. Rosemary had been a Twin City resident most of her life and an active member of Margaret Mary Catholic Church, the N.M. Catholic Daughters Allouez Court No 461 and she had served as past officer. She was a co-sponsor and active member the Bridge Marathon to support St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rosemary was a former empolyee of the Menasha Corp. and most recently the Avon Corp.

    Survivors include a daughter and son in-law; Mary Lynn [Mike] Hermus, Appleton; a son and daughter in-law; David [Karen] Evers, Neenah; four grandchildren; Brian and Bryanna Hermus, Nicole and Christopher Evers; a sister, Irene 'Sis' Remick, Neenah; two brother in-laws; Marvin [Bernice] Little Chute; James [Sheryl] Appleton; sisters in-law; Naureen Liethen, Appleton; Jan Evers, Kaukauna; Joanne [Darwin] Schmalz, Kay De Witt, Kaukauna; and Theresa [Gerald] Martzahl, Kaukauna; many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers in-law; Eileen and Carl Remick; Lois 'Mitzi' and Richard Recker; two brothers; Clarence and Bobby Liethen; two brothers in-law; William Remick and Cletus Evers; two sisters in-law; Margaret Fuszard and Eileen Parmenter.

    Funeral services will be Thursday, November 7, 1996 at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father David Koch officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Westgor Funeral on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. A rosary will be conducted by the Catholic Daughter at 6:30 p.m. a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

    Age 70, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away early Wednesday morning, September 22, 1993 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton following a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born June 26, 1923 in Little Chute, the son of the late John and Martina [Wildenberg] Evers. He had been employed at Remick Transfer Company for 40 years as a dispatcher, retiring in 1968. He was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Parish, Neenah and a member of the Germania Society of Menasha. He married Rosemary Liethen on October 30, 1948. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II for 2 1/2 years.

    He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rosemary; a daughter, Mary Lynn [Mike] Hermus, Appleton; a son, David [Karen, Neenah; three brothers, Cletus [Jan] Evers, Kaukauna; Marvin [Bernice] Evers, James [Sharyl] Evers, all of Little Chute; three sisters, Joanne [Darwin] Schmalz, Appleton; Kay DeWitt and Theresa [Gerald] Martzahl, all of Kaukauna; four grandchildren; Bryan and Bryanna Hermus; Nicole and Christopher Evers; brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Irene 'Sis' Remick, Neenah;l Naureen Liethen, Kimberly; Kenneth [Alice] Liethen, Milwaukee; Donald [Helen] Liethen, Neenah; Francis [Mary] Liethen, Appleton; Richard Recker, Neenah.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margaret Fuazard and Eileen Parmenter.

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the Laemmrich Funeral Home in Menasha and at 11:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah with Father David Baeten officiating. Burial will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call at the Laemmrich Funeral Home in Menasha on Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. Ther will be a 7 p.m. prayer service. A memorial has been established.

  • Note: James Evers, 69, of Freedom (formally Little Chute) passed away November 4, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on December 8, 1944, the son of the late John and Martina (Wildenberg) Evers. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharyl (Verstegen) Evers on November 7, 1964. They were blessed with five children, and six grandchildren.

    Jim was filled with pride while attending his grandchildren's events and school functions. He adored each and every one of their talents. He took particular interest in teaching them how to drive and maintain 4 wheelers and lawn mowers. Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets and rummage sales. His shed was his home away from home where he delighted in woodworking, particularly building benches and wheelbarrows. His garden, trees, and flowers were his enjoyment. Jim owned his own drywall business and retired from the profession after 41 years.

    Jim is survived by his wife, Sharyl; sons: Jeffrey (Maureen) Evers, Steve (Sue) Evers; and a daughter, Sharla (Pete) Adrian; grandchildren: Danielle Evers, Derek Evers, Matthew Evers, Courtney Evers, Fisher Adrian and Cale Adrian; sisters: Katie De Witt and Theresa Evers; sisters-in-law: Jan (Drace) Evers, Shawn (Verstegen) Olm, Rochelle (Verstegen) Stoffel, Sharlene (Babe Verstegen) Peeters, and Ruth (Verstegen) Olson.

    Jim was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Evers; daughter, Sheila Evers; brothers: Frank, Marvin, and Cletus Evers; sisters: Eileen Parmenter, Marge Fuszard, JoAnn Schmaltz; sisters-in-law: Rosemary (Leithen) Evers, Bernice (Tiesling) Evers, and Sharon Verstegen; brother s-in-laws: Keith Verstegen, Robert Parmenter, and Peter De Witt; father-in-law, Leo (Baker) Verstegen and mother-in-law, Genrose (Verstegen) Staley.

    The funeral mass for Jim will be held at 2:00 pm. on Friday, November 7, 2014, at St John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Family and friends are welcome to join in visiting at church on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of mass.
