Vanden Langenberg, Lawrence "Larry" H. Lawrence "Larry" H. Vanden Langenberg, 68. On Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, God called a special man, Larry, to his heavenly home to be reunited with his parents and infant son, Timothy. He was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Oneida, to Harold (Nupe) and Anna (Van Larhoven) Vanden Langenberg. Larry graduated from Seymour High School in 1955 where he was a member of the reserves, after which he enlisted in the United States Navy. On Aug. 22, 1959, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Alice Matuszak, at St. Sebastian's Parish in Isaar, where he remained an active member until he was called to heaven. Larry enjoyed going to the Seymour football and basketball games, watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers on T.V. He was a strong supporter of his grandchildren's endeavors. He loved Christmas, playing cards, campfires and spending time with his family, neighbors and friends. Larry loved his God and country and lived his life as an example his children and grandchildren will try hard to follow. Before he suffered a stroke in 1982 and other health conditions, he was employed at Bay West Converting. In his earlier years, he was employed at Baysinger Lumber Company, West Side Lumber and Calwis. He is survived by his wife, Alice, and their six children, Pamela (David) Bissing, De Pere; Jeffrey (Linda) Vanden Langenberg, Seymour; Dale (Lynnette) Vanden Langenberg, Pulaski; Kathryn (Jerry) Krull, Nichols; Beth (Brian) Taubel, Pulaski; and Kristine Vanden Langenberg, Seymour; his sixteen grandchildren, Douglas, Eric, Sherri, Joshua, Adam, Timothy, Kevin, Amber, Kayla, Paige, Derek, Justin, Rachel, Megan, Alyssa and Ethan. Larry was preceded in death by four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law; and also his mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Mary Matuszak. Dad, you fought a good fight. When you told us Saturday morning that you were going home to see Jesus, we were glad that your suffering here would be done and that your journey to heaven had begun, but so sad that you had to go. We know that the angels were there to take you home and we know that we will be together again some day. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home in Seymour from 4 to 9 P.M. Visitation will continue Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at St. Sebastian's Parish in Isaar from 10 A.M. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. with Father Dave Ashbeck. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.A special thank you to his many friends and neighbors who have been so supportive of dad and our family throughout the years. Also, to Good Shepherd Nursing Home where dad spent the last month and to St. Mary's Hospital where he passed away. He will be greatly missed. Remember me with laughter and joy for that is how I will remember you. If you can only remember me with tear and sadness, don't remember me at all.
