    Funeral services were held Tuesday for Roy F. Smith, 61, 410 Main ave., Kaukauna. Mr. Smith died Saturday afternoon following a short illness. He was born Feb. 23, 1905 in Kisk, WI.
    Mr. Smith came to the Kaukauna area in 1922 and was employed at the Combined Locks Paper co. for the past 43 years where he was head beaterman.
    Survivors are his wife, Ozee; one brother, Carl Smith, Clintonville; nieces and nephews.
    Rites were conducted at 10 am Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic church, Kaukauna, with interment in the parish cemetery. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter A. Salm officiated. The Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna, was in charge of the arrangements.
    Pallbearers were Marvin Wittman, Gerald Verbockel, Linus VanderLoop, Norman Vanderloop, Jerome Heiting and Dale Siebers.

    AGe 79, died unexpectedly at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 1984. He was born March 6, 1905 in the Town of Vandenbroek. Prior to living at the Madonna House, he had lived in the Freedom area. He was foromerly employed by Thilmany Pulp and Paper, and he also farmed in the Freedom area.

    Survivors include a daughter and son in-law, Germaine and John Green, Freedom; two sons and daughters in-law, Rich and Helen Diedrick, Rt. 3, De Pere; Larry and Dolly Diedrick, Combined Locks; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Van Zeeland, Kaukauka; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes in 1966, four brothers and two sisters.

    The Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, with the Rev. Leander Nickel officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute, from 4-9:30 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service. There will be a 7 p.m. prayer service on Friday.

    Age 58, passed away at 6 p.m. after a short illness. She was born February 15, 1908 in Appleton. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom.

    Mrs. Diedrick is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. John Green, Freedom; two sons, Richard, Wrightstown; Lawrence, Kimberly; two brothers, Ernest and Clarence Coenen, both of Appleton. 13 grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with the Rev. Alfred Hietpas officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute after 2 p.m. Monday. Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m.

    Age 89 died Wednesday, June 4, 1997 at Parkside Care Center. She was born May 27, 1908 in the Town of Freedom the daughter of the late Hubert and Sarah (O'Barski) Ludwig. Margaret married Lee C. Randerson on November 27, 1928 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. They celebrated 56 years of marriage until his death in 1984. The marriage was blessed with 2 sons, Gene and Sherman. Sherman preceded her in death in 1987. She loved bowling, playing cards, doing needlework, going to the casinos and spending many enjoyable days at the Kelly Lake cottage. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and a Charter Member of the Freedom Golden Agers. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Gene and Margaret Ann Randerson, Freedom; 6 grandchildren: Mary (Marv) Talbot, Freedom; Tom (Jane) Randerson,
    B~aver Dam; JoAnn (Scott) Pecor, Fox Point; Maureen (Dan) Vanden Heuvel, Combined Locks; Patti (Randy) Peters, Brookfield; Barb (Tom) Gerritts, Freedom; 17 great grandchildren: Lisa, Dena, Jon, Melissa, Maggie and Brooke Talbot; Caitlin and Edward Randerson; MacKenzie and Gard Pecor; Ariana, Kyra and Sabrina Vanden Heuvel; Hannah Peters; Joshua, Adeline and Cambria Gerritts; a sister: Helen Anderson, Phoenix, Arizona; 2 sisters in law: Loraine Ludwig, Seymour; Alice Ludwig, Appleton; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
