    Richard D. Sarnowski

    Age 56, died Tuesday, April 19, 1994 from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born November 3, 1937 in Little Chute to Agnes [Van Eyck] Sarnowski, Menasha and the late Andrew Sarnowski. Richard was a 1956 graduate from Kaukauna High School and married the former Carol Schmdtt on June 27, 1959 at St. Mary Cartholic Church, Kaukauna, she survives. Richard was employed for 35 years at Zwickers Knitting Mills. He was a member of the Green Apple Friends of Folk, Pals, and was an usher of St. Mary Catholic Church.

    Survivors besides his wife and mother include two sons, Anthony, Milwaukee; Chris, Boulder, Colorado; three daughters, Mary Ellen White; Milwaukee; Jennifer Sarnowski, Milwaukee; Sarah [Kakia] Kakia, Oranjemund, Namibia, Africa; two grandchildren, Joshua Sarnowski and Tali Kakia; five brothers, Keith [Val], Neenah; Dean [Sandy] Menasha; Dennis [Barb], Menasha; Steve [Shirley] Alabama; Bob [Jean], Greenleaf; six sisters, Cindy [Rick], Boehnlein, Menasha; Kathy [Mark] Morse, Neenah; Margaret [Karl] Campbell, New London; Jean [Steve] Knudsen, Neenah; Tina [Dave] Meyer, Menasha; Frances [Elmer] Burr, Neenah; a sister in-law, three brothers in law and many nieces and nephews.

    The mass of the Ressurrection will be Saturday, April 23, 1994 at noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. Michael O'Rourke officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton and at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
  • Graduation: He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1956.

  • Note: Carolynn M. Denzel, Kaukauna, age 70, died on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center following a short illness. She was born March 4, 1944, daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Bowe) Heimerl. On April 20, 1962, she was united in marriage to Eugene Denzel at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton and together they celebrated 37 years of marriage. They loved going camping at Anvil Lake and Bear Lake. Carolynn loved to socialize with her friends and enjoyed spending time with family. She was quick-witted and always had a ready comeback.

    She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Verhagen (special friend Marc Lankey); a grandson Eli and a granddaughter Toni Lynn. Tanya, Eli, and Toni were the joy of Carolynn's life. She is further survived by two sisters: Jayne (Bill) Levknecht and Marilee (Dean) Bornemann; two brothers: Joe (Kathy) Heimerl and Ken Heimerl, nieces, nephews, a brother-in-law, Vince (Joyce) Denzel, a sister-in-law, Mary Denzel, and special friends: Jeannie Verbockel, Carol Coenen, and Mary Atkins.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene, her son Tony, a daughter Terry Lynn, her sister Judy (Jack) Schoen, her brother-in-law, Ronald Denzel, and special friend, Jim Nett.

    A Memorial Service for Carolynn will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.
