Marcia was born April 29, 1937 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Edward and Viola (Smith) Janssen. On April 29, 1957, she married Marvin “Butch” Dietzen in Kaukauna; he survives. Marcia was a 1955 graduate of Kaukauna High School, and for many years was employed as the payroll clerk at Appleton Papers’ Locks Mill. Prior to her retirement, she was proud to have received the Golden Apple Award for exceptional service. In her younger years, she was active in scouting. Marcia will be remembered as an avid card player, and she always enjoyed her occasional trips to the casino with family and friends. Marcia always treasured the time spent with her grandchildren in Minnesota.

    She is survived by her husband: Marvin Dietzen of Kimberly; one daughter: Nancie (Mark) Delebo of Eagan, Minnesota; one son: Lee (Amy) Dietzen of Green Bay; two grandsons: Benjamin and Thomas Delebo of Eagan, Minnesota; sisters: three sisters: Joanne (Gary) Ganzyk of Menasha; Shirley Janssen of Kaukauna; Linda (Jim) Fredericksen of Kenosha; three brothers: Richard (Karen) Janssen of Kimberly; Carl (Kathy) Janssen of Kaukauna; Gary Janssen of Kaukauna; two sisters-in-law: Phyllis Janssen of Kaukauna and Grace Dietzen of Barrington, Illinois. Marcia is further survived by Butch’s sisters and brothers: Shirley Better of Kimberly; Carla (Earl) Wallace of Combined Locks; Donna (Richard) Van Grinsven of Little Chute; Ronald (Mary) Dietzen of Appleton; Joseph (Rose) Dietzen of Kimberly. Marcia is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Laurie, an infant sister Mary, a brother James Janssen, brothers-in-law Kenneth Dietzen and Emil Better, and her father and mother-in-law Joseph and Clara (Anderson) Dietzen.

    The funeral liturgy for Marcia will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 24, 2001 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and again at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the liturgy. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at the funeral home at 7:00 PM Friday.

    Geurts, John Mark "Mark", age 89, of Neenah, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Parkview Health Center, in Oshkosh. Mark was born February 8, 1916, in Rapids County, South Dakota, the son of the late George and Nellie (Vissers) Geurts. He married Mary Alice Crotty on August 30, 1945, in Wrightstown. He had been employed at Remmick Transfer for 32 years, retiring in 1976. Mark served in the U.S. Army for five years, 2nd Armor Division. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Mark enjoyed snowmobiling, crafts, and flower gardens. Mark is survived by his wife Mary Alice; his children: Donald (Mary) Geurts, Waupaca; Mark Geurts (special friend, Barbara), Waupaca; Kathleen (Roger) Polifka, Crivitz; Ann Nichols, Town of Menasha; Pat Geurts, Neenah; and Geri (Scott) Yingling, Neenah. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Tracy, Brian, Todd, Jon, Heather (Charles), Joe, Trent, Ken, Sara and Melissa; a brother, George (Mary Ann) Geurts, Menasha; his sisters: Marie Buzanowski, Menasha; Eileen Foth, Menasha; and Ursula (Fred) Rutten, Weyauwega. Mark was preceded in death by two sisters, Honorat and Theresa; and a brother, Florent; also his brothers-in-law: Norbert, Joseph and Wilbur. Private family services will be held on Monday. On February 10, 1920, Marie was born in Browns Valley, South Dakota to George and Nellie (Vissers) Geurts Sr. When her family moved to Menasha, they resided next door to her future husband. On May 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to Joseph Buzanowski at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha; he preceded her in death on June 18, 1994.

    Marie is survived by her sons: Donald Buzanowski and Robert (Sharon) Buzanowski; her granddaughter, April (Ken) Neuman and their children: Ella and Ava, and Ken's sons: Tyler and Chase; a brother, George (Mary Ann) Geurts Jr.; a brother-in-law, Fred Rutten; sisters-in-law: Mary Geurts and Bernice Geurts; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Mark and Florent Geurts; her sisters: Honoret (Dave) Bretthauer, Theresa (Norbert Sr.) Kozlowski, Eileen (Wilbur) Foth, and Ursula Rutten as well as Joe's family members that have gone before her.

    A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street in Menasha with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the hour of the Mass at the church. Interment will take place in St. John Cemetery in the Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

  • Note: Eileen C. Foth, age 91, of Menasha, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha. On December 26, 1921, Eileen Catherine was born in Roberts County, South Dakota, to the late George and Nellie (Vissers) Geurts. Eileen was united in marriage to Wilbur Foth; he preceded her in death on April 14, 1995. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha, was a communion distributor, and was a part of the Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Nicolet Ladies. Eileen enjoyed being the "Pie Lady" at the Knights of Columbus Fish Frys.

    Eileen will be missed by her loving children: Joseph (Deanna Pooler) Foth, Patrick Foth, Sandra (Larry) Foreman, Sharon (Greg) Isaac, and Lawrence (Belinda) Foth; a daughter-in-law, Meri Foth; her grandchildren: Jenny, Jackie, Jared, James, and Allison; her great-grandchildren: Paige and Samantha; a brother, George (MaryAnn) Geurts; her sister, Marie Buzanowski; sisters-in-law: Bernice Geurts, Gretchen Foth and Janette Foth; a brother-in-law, Fred Rutten; and other family members and friends.

    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Mark (Mary) Geurts and Florent Geurts; and her sisters: Honoret (Dave) Bretthauer, Theresa (Norbert) Kozlowski, and Ursula Rutten; brother-in-law, Joe Buzanowski; and Wilbur's extended family.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 29, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street, Menasha. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the hour of the Mass at the church. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

    She will be deeply missed by her husband of 57 years, Frederick Rutten; her children, Richard Rutten, Vera (Armand) Ramacitti, Joanne Lamers, Kari (Kevin) Gerrits, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Patronella Guerts; a son, Paul Rutten; and a grandson.

    Visitation and Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Residence Chapel, 107 East Beckert Road, New London on Monday, May 7. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with Mass to follow.

    Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Ursula Rutten (née Geurts), a son, Paul Rutten, and a grandson. He is survived by his children, Richard Rutten, Milwaukee, Vera (Armand) Ramacitti, Waupaca, Joanne (Michael) Hoks, Menasha, and Kari (Kevin) Gerrits, San Jose, CA, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

    A Memorial is being planned on June 18, 2016 from 1-4pm at The Harbor Campus, 425 W Walters St, Port Washington, WI to celebrate Fred's life.
