    Robert Van Ryzin

    Robert John Van Ryzin, 5-week old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ven Ryzin, 1219 S. Oneida Street, died about 12:15 this morning after a short illness. He was born December 31, 1950, in Appleton.

    Surviving, in addition to his parents, are three brothers, Gregory, Stephen and Joseph Van Ryzin, at home; a sister, Carolyn Van Ryzin; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Van Ryzin and Mrs. Anna Dengel, Appleton.

    The Ellenbecker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The cortege formed at the funeral home at 1:45 and services were at Sacred Heart Church at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. Emil Schmidt, pastor, was in charge. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.

    Age 72, passed away on Monday June 18, 2001. Jean was born on May 9, 1929, the daughter of the late Roy and Agnes Van Ryzin. Jean graduated from Appleton High School in 1947. In 1948 Jean married the late Clarence B. Schiltz and together had 5 children, and then remarried in 1973 to Michael H. Michalski Sr. and adopted 3 children and moved to Liberty, Missouri. She returned to Wisconsin in February of 2000 to live with her son Jesse.

    Jean is survived by her children, Jesse (Jane) Schiltz, Neenah; Paul (Betty) Schiltz, Green Bay; Michael (Amy) Michalski Jr., San Diego, CA; Debra (Shawn) Rogers, Liberty, Missouri; and David Michalski, Liberty, Missouri; two sisters, Geraldine Albers, Kimberly and Monica Wildenberg, Little Chute. She was preceded in death by 3 children, Jeffrey Paul, Christina Marie, and Terry Ann.

    The funeral liturgy will be on Thursday June 21, 2001 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Bible Church (1450 Oakridge Road, Neenah) with Pastor Harry Shields officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service (10:00 a.m.).

  • Note: Paul A. "Redman" Schiltz, 55, Green Bay, passed away Sunday evening, February 19, 2012, at a Green Bay hospital. Born February 6, 1957, in Little Chute, he is the son of the late Clarence and Jean (Van Rizen) Schiltz. Paul is a 1975 graduate of Appleton East High School. After spending a few years in Oregon, he returned to Wisconsin where he began his long career in the music industry as a sound engineer. Some of the musical groups Paul worked with were Night Scream, Adam Trask, High Risk, Juke Box Heroes, and Replica. He was currently employed with Cash Depot. Paul will be further remembered for his enjoyment of fishing, bowling, golf, electronics and video games.

    He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Jane Schiltz of Neenah; nieces and nephews, Jason (Charity) Schiltz, Jamie-Lynn (Steven) Stammer, Shila Schiltz, and Kela Schiltz; five great nieces and nephews; former wife and good friend, Betty A. Boice and son, Bryan, both of Green Bay; Paul will be further missed by his best friend and confidant, Jamie Janik of Green Bay, and many other close friends.

    Preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Terry Ann and Christina Marie; and a brother, Jeffery Paul.

  • Death: Rosemary Vanevenhoven died on February 4, 2014, at age 71, in DePere, Brown Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Rosemary (Mrs. Richard) Vander Missen, 71, De Pere, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday evening, Feb. 4, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Kaukauna, to the late Henry and Harriet (VerVoort) Vanevenhoven on April 6, 1942. On July 20, 1963, Rosie was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Vander Missen at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, he prececed her in death on February 16, 2011.

    She was a devoted wife and mother to her four children and a loving Grandma to her twelve grandchildren. She was a long time member of St. Mary Catholic Parish, De Pere and an Election Poll Worker in De Pere for many years. Rosie graduated from Wisconsin College of Cosmetology, 1961. Rosie's faith was very important to her and she shared that faith with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially holiday gatherings, Packer Games and Up North at the cottage. Rosie loved to golf, bowl and enjoyed swimming with her friends at the YMCA. Rosie and Dick enjoyed traveling together and time spent Up North, making memories with the family.

    Survivors include her children, Shelly and Bryan Becker, Michael and Michelle Vander Missen, James & Molly Vander Missen, and Lisa and Eric Trousil; 12 Grandchildren, Jessica (Blaine) Bodart, Jason Becker; Joshua, Zachary, Tianna, Marissa, and Samuel Vander Missen; Drew and Morgan Vander Missen; and Alexis, Kylie and Casey Trousil. Her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and David Thiel, brother-in-law, Donald Vander Missen, sisters-in-law, Mary and Howard Daanen, Karen and Tom Bellisle, and Carole Vander Missen; as well as many nieces and nephews, and many special friends that she met along the way.

    Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Mary (Vercauteren)VanderMissen.

    Family and Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Community on Sportsman Road, De Pere from 2:00 to 4:30 on Friday February 7, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:30 pm Friday at the church.

  • Death: Richard VanderMissen died on February 16, 2011, at age 69.
  • Note: Richard "Dick" Vander Missen, 69, of De Pere, passed away Wednesday morning, February 16, 2011, with his family at his side, after a courageous ten month battle with cancer. The son of the late Clarence and Mary (Verheyen) Vander Missen was born July 22, 1941, in Green Bay. Dick served his country in the U.S. Army for six years. He married the former Rosemary Vanevenhoven on July 2, 1963, at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna.

    Dick had worked at Broadway Chevrolet for 44 years, prior to retirement in 2004 as Parts Manager. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing, hunting and spending time at the cottage. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling. Dick was a member of the De Pere Knights of Columbus Council and Green Bay Moose Lodge. He was active in Scouting for many years. He and Rosie were longtime members of St. Mary Catholic Parish in De Pere for many years. Dick was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
    Survivors include his wife of 47 years Rosemary, their children, Shelly and Bryan Becker, Mike and Michelle Vander Missen, James and Molly Vander Missen and Lisa and Eric Trousil, twelve grandchildren, Jessica and Jason Becker, Joshua, Zachary, Tianna, Marissa, and Samuel Vander Missen, Drew and Morgan Vander Missen, and Alexis, Kylie and Casey Trousil, his siblings, Donald Vander Missen, Mary and Howard Daanen, Karen and Tom Bellisle, sister-in-law, Karen and David Thiel, and sister-in-law, Carole Vander Missen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Daryl and Sue Brys.
