    Rick was born on September 25, 1964 in Escanaba, MI to Thomas and Donna Gasman. He married his best friend, Kerry Schmidt on January 27, 1995.

    Rick graduated from Appleton West High School in Appleton, WI. He was an independent financial advisor at Planning Concepts, Inc.

    Rick was currently remodeling and landscaping a home in Hortonville, WI with his dad and mom.

    Rick loved anything with speed from his snowmobiles at his summer home in Lakewood to his Mustang and Harley. He was an exceptional mechanic and spent hours refining all of them. Riding his Harley through the United States on warm summer days with his friend, Paul Metko, was one of his favorite past times. Rick also loved to cook and his family was often treated to his famous soups and sloppy joes.

    Rick is survived by his wife Kerry, his son Richard Jr., a step daughter Kayla (Kyle) St. Marie, a sister Maude, a brother Thomas Jr. (Janell), three grandchildren and nieces and a nephew.

    He was preceded in death by his sister Julie and his beloved dog Zeke.

    Services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton, with the Rev. Thomas J Farrell officiating. Rick's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 9-11:15 a.m. with the service to follow. A celebration of Rick's life will follow the service at Osorio's Latin Fusion, 1910 N Casoloma Drive, Appleton.

    In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund with Rick's favorite charity.

    May your road be always winding, your tank be always full and the sun forever on your face.

    Geraldine Rose Albers, 95, Kimberly, passed away Friday evening, Feb. 13, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. Geraldine was born Oct. 23, 1913, in Appleton, to the late Roy and Agnes (Femal) Van Ryzan. On Feb. 22, 1936, Geraldine was united in marriage to Paul A. Albers at St. Mary Church, Appleton. They enjoyed 54 wonderful years together until Paul preceded her in death on March 23, 1990.
    Geraldine was a faithful member at Holy Spirit Parish, Kimberly, where she belonged to the Ladies of Holy Name. She was an avid sportswoman where she played women's softball and women's basketball in her younger years. Geraldine and her husband enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing. After their retirement they enjoyed many years of extensive traveling to every state except Alaska. In her later years, she enjoyed watching the Badgers, the Brewers and the Packers. Most of all, she loved to attend and be active in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events.
    Geraldine is survived by her three children, Thomas (Nancy) Albers, Jan (Judy) Albers, Sandy (Don) Ver Bust, all of Kimberly; 11 grandchildren, David and Mike Albers, Lynn (Don) Young, Beth (Al) Manitzki, Jeff (Kris) Albers, Sue Albers, Jill (Dave) Vanden Oever, Mark Ver Bust, Steve (Kelly) Ver Bust, Gina (Matt) Ruys and Rick Albers; 26 great-grandchildren, Andrea, Emily, Kiaya and Lucas Albers, Duke and Stephanie Young, Thomas Albers, Amie and Jacob Young, Nicole and Ryan Albers, Andrew and Tommy Ellen Albers, Michael, Katelyn, Steven and Brett Vanden Oever, Matthew, Madison, Mason and Maggie Ver Bust, Paige Ness, Kristin, Mitchel, Katie and Erin Ruys; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
    In addition to her husband, Paul, Geraldine is preceded in death by three sisters, Gertrude, Monica and Jean; three brothers, Roger, Mark and John.
    A Funeral Liturgy for Geraldine will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly. Fr. David Beaudry will be the officiant. A time of visitation and support will held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the of time of Mass. Burial will take place at Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Geraldine's name.
    The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers at Appleton Medical Center and Thedacare Hospice.

    Age 76, died Friday March 23, 1990 at St. Ellizabeth Hospital. He was born September 15, 1913 in Grand Junction, Colorado the son of the late Edward and Ida [Sandman] Albers. He was a member of the first football team at Kimberly High School. He was employed at Kimberly Clark Corp. Kimberly for 44 years, retiring in 1975. He was union president for the Kimberly Clark Independent Union in Kimberly.
    He was an avid sportsman. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Kimberly Clark and the Golden Agers of Kimberly.

    Survived by his wife of 54 years, Geraldine [Van Ryzin] Albers; two sons and daughters in-law; Thomas and Nancy Albers, Jan and Judy Albers all of Kimberly; a daughter and a son in-law; Sandy and Don Ver Bust, Kimberly. He enjoyed to the fullest and especially enjoyed his grandchildren; David and Jan Albers, Mike Albers, Lynn and Don Young, Beth and Ron Young, Jeff Albers and special friend, Kris Krueger, Susan Albers, Jill and David VandenOever, Mark and Claire Ver Bust, Steve Ver Bust and special friend, Kelly Hietpas, Gina and Matt Ruys, Rick Albers, and nine great grandchildren; Andrea, Emily, Stephanie, Duke, Thomas, Amie, Jacob, Michael and Katelyn; a sister, Gertrude Richter, Appleton.

    He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a brother in-law. Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly with Fr. Richard Ver Bust officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call at Holy Name Catholic Chuch from 4 p.m. Monday until the time of services. The Jansen Fargo Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
