Mary graduated from Appleton West High School in 1964 and retired from Appleton Papers in Combined Locks. She is survived by her son: Troy Nabbefeld; a niece: Laurie Gonnering; and a dear friend Darlene Vande Voort.. Mary was preceded in death by her sister Sally Gonnering-Nettekoven and brother Martin "Butch" VanVonderen.

    The memorial service for Mary will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Wichmann Funeral Home downtown chapel. Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara will be officiating. A time of gathering will be on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.

    Age 50, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 31, 1992 at his home. He was born January 3, 1942 in Appleton, son of Martin and Eleanor Van Vonderan. Since attending high school, Butch had been employed by Carlson's Club Foods in Oshkosh and was currently the Produce Manager there. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the National Rifle Association. His hobbies included antiques, although his greatest joys in life came from spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

    Survivors include his parents, Martin and Eleanor Van Vonderen, Appleton; a sister, Mary Nabbefeld, Appleton; a special friend, Laura Martin, Oshkosh; a niece, Laurie Gonnering, Menasha; a nephew, Troy Nabbefeld, Appleton; and by many relatives and friends.

    The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton with Fr. John Zickert officiating. Interment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the cortege leaves for the church. A memorial fund is being established.

    Age 41, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday following a long illness. She was born January 5, 1941 in Appleton, where she had been a resident all of her life. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.

    Survivors include a daughter, Laurie Gonnering, Appleton; her parents, Martin and Elinor Van Landghen Van Vonderen, Appleton; a brother, Martin Van Vonderen Jr., Oshkosh; a sister, Mary Luedtke, Kimberly.

    She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Harriet Meier.

    There will be a private family service. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer and scripture service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established.

Mary grew up in Little Chute, WI. and was a graduate of St. John High school. She received a business degree from Oshkosh Business College and was employed at the Pulp and Paper Manufacturer's association in Appleton, WI. for several years before moving to New Mexico. In New Mexico, Mary served as an executive administrator for the school system. Mary loved to socialize with her friends and her family. She loved to travel and would join in trips with her children whenever she could. Mary also loved to read, sew, bake and do crafts and was always found baking, sewing or making something for someone in her family or one of her friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hendricus Van Veghel. Mary will be sadly missed by her children, Tom Van Veghel (Voni), Suzanne Richins (AD), Chris Van Veghel, Nancy White (Danny), Rebecca Wirtz (Marc); her grandchildren, Monte Van Veghel, Ivy Richins, AD Richins, Savanah Marx, Cerissa Newton and several great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to the Village at Manor Park, 2208 N. Loop 250 W, Midland, TX, 79707. Memorial services and a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at The Parks Faudree Family Chapel at Manor Park.     Grace was married to Roy "Roy Boy" Schaumann June 2, 1950 in Little Chute Wisconsin.

    In life Graced loved sewing, planting flowers, cooking, camping, and even though she was not a swimmer or skier she enjoyed driving the boat for other family members that water skied. Grace worked as a CNA and for the last 17 years before retiring she worked at the Pioneer Inn in Oshkosh as a housekeeper.

    Grace is survived by her daughters, Deb (Steve) Williams of Omro and Denise Nelson of Oshkosh; her sisters, Virginia Vandenberg, Carol (John) Leduc, Joyce Lennert, Jeanne (Ed) Schaefer, and Peg (Wendell) Beane

    Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Schaumann; her son Daniel; and her sister, Lorraine Van Boxtel.

    Private family services will be held.

    A Dementia memorial has been established.

    A special thank you to all staff at Generations Hospice who cared for Grace, especially Heather. Also to the staff at Lakeshore Manor who cared for Grace the last seven years.

    Schaumann, Roy D. "Roy Boy" Roy D. "Roy Boy" Schaumann, died Monday Feb. 20, 2006, at his residence. He was born Jan. 27, 1924, in Menasha, a son of Harold and Eleanor (Domkowski) Schaumann. On June 2, 1950, he married Grace Van Deraa in Little Chute. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a P.O.W. He loved water skiing, boating, sailing, and carpentry. He was known for his Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne imitations. He was very proud that he built two homes, and taught his children to swim, water ski, and ice skate. He loved to socialize and could often be seen riding around town on his scooter, which displayed "Oshkosh on the Water" and American Flags. He is survived by his wife Grace, two daughters Deb ("favorite" son-in-law Steven) Williams of Omro; Denise Nelson of Oshkosh; one brother Jerry (Kelly) Schaumann of Larsen, three sisters, Betty Alwin of Oshkosh; Dorothy Hack, Carol Jean Steidl both of Menasha; and special friend Patricia McMillen. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel, and a brother, Bill. Private family services were held. A memorial for macular degeneration research has been established.
