He had a son who is my great grandpa Adrian Pynenberg, burn in the U.S. but spoke Dutch most of the time. His education was only in the sixth grade level. After his education, he worked in the horse stable, later worked in the mill, and also fought in WWI. He married my great grandmother Lydia Ebben. They had nine kids. Sadly two of them died shortly after birth. There ninth child was my grandpa Daniel Pynenberg. My grandpa can remember growing up on the farm and having 50 chickens, a rabbit, hound dogs, and ducks. Since grandpa was 10, the Oldest who was married had to come home and help take care of him. My grandpa remembers the rationing in WWII. A ration card was needed to go to the grocery store for sugar, floud, etc. His parents would buy things they could not get on the "black market" and hide them in the attic in fear of getting in trouble with authorities. He had some cousins that still lived in Holland during the war. His cousins owned a bakery and would send a loaf of bread to them. The loaf would be hollow and contain letters, and jewelry that they wanted to get out of the country.

Milton learned the cheese making trade at a local cheese factory run by Frank Oskey and shortly before marrying Mildred Moehring he acquired the Square Deal Cheese factory just off County C about 2 Ih miles south of the Sachs homestead. Milton's nephew, Bob Colling, worked with Milton as did, occasionally, nephew Alvin Sachs, who drove a small truck to pick up milk from nearby farmers.
Mildred grew up on the Richard and Mary Moehring family farm, also located in the Town of Osborn, about 2 Yz miles from the Sachs homestead. She attended the Golden Rule School just down the road from the farm. When still a teenager she moved to Appleton to work as a maid, first for the Hyde family and then the Ingold family. During this time she met and became friends with Myrtle Sachs, who was also working as a maid. It was Myrtle who introduced Mildred to her brother, Milton.
Milton sold the cheese factory in 1943 and the family moved to the city, first to Seymour, then to Little Chute, and finally to Kaukauna. Milton worked in a milk handling plant located in Kaukauna. After the war years he found work in Appleton, first at a hardware store and then at the J. C. Penney department store. He loved to sing and play his guitar. However, the move to city life was difficult. All of their children completed high school and all attended college. Four eventually earned college degrees.
Milton died October 28, 1973 and is buried in the St. Mary's
    cemetery just outside of Kaukauna.
Mildred remarried October 28,1979. Her husband, Isadore
Vandenberg, had lost his wife and the two had almost 16 years of
companionship before Isadore died on May 1, 1995. As of this
writing (March 2006) Mildred has reached her 94th birthday and
lives at the St. Paul Villa in Kaukauna. A complete family picture
was never taken. The family photo shows Mildred at age 90.
