    Eiting, William J. William J. Eiting, St. Paul Villa, Kaukauna, age 87, died Saturday, September 23, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born August 7, 1919,in Kaukauna, the son of the late William A. and Lillian (Keef) Eiting. Bill graduated from Kaukauna High School class of 1936, where he played trombone in the band, and served with the Army in the Pacific as part of the World's Greatest Generation in World War II. He operated an A&P grocery store on Second Street in Kaukauna after the war until starting his own business on the north side. In 1964 he purchased a business in Kimberly, and operated Eiting's Supermarket until he retired in 1986. Bill enjoyed fishing and the cottage at Boulder Lake. He was an avid baseball fan, and a huge Packers fan. He could fix or build anything he put his mind to. Bill loved traveling after his retirement. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

    Bill was a longtime member of the Kiwanis, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion Post 60, Kimberly.

    Bill is survived by his wife, Rose, and his twin sons: John Eiting, Casa Grande AZ, and Joseph (Leone) Eiting, Little Chute; seven grandchildren: Jason Smith, Kaukauna; Clint (Jodi) Smith, Appleton; Nichol Eiting, Scottsdale AZ; Paul (Emi Ridenour) Eiting, Arlington VA; Michael Eiting, Tucson AZ; Katherine Eiting, Scottsdale AZ; Stephen Eiting, Little Chute; four great-grandchildren: Allison, Crystal, Justin, and Kaileigh Smith, and former daughter-in-law Linda Boelter. He is also survived by Rose's children: Robert (Helen) Eiting, Little Chute and their children, Rob (Carie) and Tim and Nick, Mary Kay (Andy) Hess, Green Bay, and their children, Joseph (Kristin), Katie (John) and Craig, Mary Ann (Tom) Walsh, De Pere and their children Todd and Troy, Gerri (Jim) DeBruin, Denver, NC, and their children, Julie, Jamie (Candice), Jesse and Danni (Ryan), Bruce (Kathy) Eiting, Appleton and their children, Matt, Erick, Bruce J. and Amy, and Rick (Wendy) Eiting, Appleton and their children, Heather (Kirk), Sarah (Dave), Angie (Todd), Michael, Ashley, Myke and Danni, Terry (Chris) Eiting, Little Chute and their children Jill and Jenny, Hugh (JoAnne) Eiting, Greenville and their children Josh and Jaci. Seventeen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Survivors include his sister Margaret Coffey, a brother Thomas Eiting, and brother in law and sister-in-law Edward and Serena Oliva.

    Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, M. Lillian (Oliva) Eiting, his sister Adeline (Herb) Niesen, and brother Robert Eiting, and brother-in-law Cliff Coffey, and grandchildren Alyson Eiting, Jamie Eiting, and Ben Jansen.

    Bill's Mass of Christian Burial will be 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at Holy Name of Jesus at Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly with Fr. David Funk officiating. Friends will be received form 12 Noon until 5:30 p.m. on WEDNESDAY at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Bill's cortege will depart the funeral home at 5:45 p.m. Burial and Full Military Honors will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna on Thursday at 11 a.m.

    The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital on 4 South and St. Paul Villa for the Love and compassion they gave dad during his time of need.

    Age 42, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Saturday after a short illness. He was born in Little Chute September 17, 1920. Mr. Ebben wa a member of the Holy Name Society, Catholic Foresters of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, Jacob Coppus Post, American Legion, Little Chute, Elks Lodge, Kaukauna. He was a trustee of the Village Board for 13 years and was a laboratory technician at the Kimberly Clark Corp.

    Mr. Ebben is survived by his widow; his father, Mr. Chris Ebben, Little Chute; two daughters, LuAnn and Ellen Jean and two sons, Robert and Richard Jr., all at home; two brothers; Marvin, Kimberly and Father Bertrand O.P. Nigeria, West Africia, presently home on leave; four sisters, Mrs. John Levandowski, Menasha, Mrs. William Van Sambeek, Kimberly, Mrs. John Verbuggen and Mrs. William Hammen, both of Little Chute.

    Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic church with Father Bertrand as Celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute, after 2 p.m. Monday where the rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Military services will be conducted at the graveside.

    Jacoba 'Jakie' Ebben

    Jacoba Ebben, age 84, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 13, 2005. She was born in Dreumel, Hlland on June 7, 1920, daughter of Henry and Caroline [Van Rhyin] Verbruggen. Jakie was a graduate of St. John High School, Little Chute. On May 3, 1947, she was united in marriage to Richard Ebben. He preceded her in death in 1963. Jakei was a life long member of St. John Nepomucene Church in Little Chute, where she was a past member of the Elizabeth Society. She was also a member of the Little Chute Golden Agers Club. Jakie enjoyed spending tgime with family and friends, a good card game and bingo. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile, which she shared so often. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went.

    Jakie is the beloved mother of Robert Evven [special friend, Sandy Conradt], Pickerl; Lu Ann [Leon] Vanden Heuvel, Little Chute; Ellen [Mike] Jansen, Kaukauna; Rick Ebben, Little Chute. She is the cherished grandma of Ryan [Nicole] Vanden Heuvel; Jay [Bobbie Jo] Vanden Heuvel; Kelly [Troy] DeWitt; Dan [Jill] Jansen; and Ben's Widow, Heather Jansen; great grandma of Rylee, Tressa, Gavin, Tanner, Madyson, Eli and Bennett. Jakie is further survived by her sister, Joanne Cobb [fiance, Al Anderson], Palm Dessert, Californai; her brother, John [Betty] Verbruggen, Little Chute; sisters in-law, Barb [John] Levandowski; Ione Van Sambeek; Ike [Bill] Hammen; brothers in-law, Marv [Mattie] Ebben and Fr. Bert Ebben O.P., also many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her grandson, Ben Jansen, mother and father in-law, Sophie and Chris Ebben, two brothers, Cornelius and Casey, brothers in-law, Leslie Cobb and Bill Van Sambeek.

    Funeral services ill be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2005 at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Little Chute.

The funeral liturgy will be on Thursday April 19, 2001 at 6:00 PM at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH (600 East Kimberly Av.) with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time we leave for church (5:45 PM). Interment will be at Holy Name Catholic Church Cemetery.
