    Van Hout, James D. James D. Van Hout, Kimberly, age 73, entered into eternal life Wednesday June 13, 2007. Jim was born January 16, 1934, to the late Cornelius and Johanna (Van Bockel) Van Hout. He married the former Carol Siegel on May 20, 1967. Jim worked for the Village of Kimberly for 32 years. He was also a welder. He enjoyed hunting deer and pheasants also tending his garden and working outdoors. He loved sharing his harvest with family, friends and neighbors. Jim was a quiet, gentle and spiritual man; he dearly loved receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus. He suffered from frontal temporal dementia for 7 years.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carol, his children: James C. Van Hout (girlfriend Jodi Leahy), Appleton and Mary (Jamie) Koester, Combined Locks; grandchildren: Hana, 9, and Brady, 18 months, Koester, and surrogate daughter, Ann Wynboom, Appleton, sister: Mary Quinn, Nevada, brothers: Anthony (Verna), Kimberly; Martin (Shirley), Alaska; Cornelius "Junie" (Donna), Kimberly; In-laws: Jane Van Hout, Kimberly, Marlene Van Hout, Nancy (John) Miron, Combined Locks, Leroy (Mary Ann) Siegel, Combined Locks, Rosalie (Gordon) Evers, Combined Locks, Judy (Gerald) Kush, Waukesha, John (Cindy) Siegel, Kaukauna, and many nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law: John and Johanna Siegel, his brothers: William (Marion) ( Mary), Frank (Celeste), Joseph, and Lambert (Mary Jane), sisters: Frances (Lyle) Eggert, Cora (Edward) Martens, brother-in-law, John Quinn, nieces and nephews, Paul Van Hout, Richard Eggert, Jackie Berken, and Christopher Kush.

    Jim's Mass of Christian Burial will be 5 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2007, at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street, Combined Locks with Fr. Jim Lucas and Fr. Bob Vandenberg co-officiating. Friends will be received on Monday, at Church from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 766-2099.

    Thank you to Dr. J. Cooper for her care of Jim, and the care given to Jim by the emergency room staff, and 2 south staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

  • Note: Verna L. Van Hout, age 88, lifetime resident of Kimberly, passed away at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Verna was born on November 28, 1926, in Ortonville, Minnesota to the late Floyd T. and Mary (Derks) Lambert. She married Tony Van Hout on October 26, 1946, in Kimberly. Verna was well known for her strong volunteering spirit. She volunteered at her children's schools, St. Elizabeth Hospital and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Verna was a member of RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), was the Girl Scout Cookie Sale Coordinator for many years, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 60, and the Papermaker Players.

    Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Tony; her children, Toni (Dick) Van Hammond, Peggy (Jerry) Wallenfang, Linda (Dennis) Luebke, Luanne (Jeff) Moureau, Jeanne Recker, Bob (Marcia) Van Hout, Sue (Tom) Gau, and Mike (Xiao Li) Van Hout; 26 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren; her step-sister, Yvonne (Ken) Klein; and her step-brother, David (Carol) Anderson. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Glen Anderson, and her sisters, Betty Van Cuyk and Ione Jansen.

    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Friends may call at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, 204 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staffs of St. Paul Home and St. Paul Hospice.     Jansen, Marcella C. (Ploederl)
    Marcella Jansen, 87, a resident of Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center, Menasha, died on Ash Wednesday, February 6, 2008. She was born August 6, 1920, to the late Louis and Barbara (Babbler) Ploederl in Antigo. Marcella married Stanley C. Jansen on October 13, 1943, at St. John's Church, Antigo, and he preceded her in death June 3, 1998. Mrs. Jansen lived in Little Chute and Kimberly, most recently Little Chute. She was a proud member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, and sang in their choir. Marcella enjoyed raising her family and spending time with them. She was a very talented person, wonderful seamstress, excellent knitter and crotcheter. She made afghans, sweaters, numerous dishcloths, ceramics and many Christmas ornaments for her family.

    Marcella is survived by a daughter, Mary (Steve) Colling; four sons: Jerry (Donna) Jansen, Ron (Dianna) Jansen, Jim (Vicki) Jansen, Randy (Deb) Jansen; grandchildren: Charlie (Julie) Gross, Amy (Ron) Young, Chad (Katie) Gross, Doty (Eric) Buker, Ben Colling, Craig (Tricia) Jansen, Scott (Amy) Jansen, Matt (Sarah) Jansen, Jessie Jansen, Barry (Mandy) Jansen, Nick Jansen, Travis (Cindy) Jansen, Mandy Jansen and special friend, Mike, Troy Jansen and fiance, Jes Kesler; great grandchildren: Caleb, Josh, Aime, Jake, Evan, Fiona, Rachel, Kayla, Jenna, Zack, Alanna, Halle, Deacon, Kayla, Annabelle, Payton, Aiden, Colton; brother, John (Mary) Ploederl; sister, Alice Ploederl; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marion Ploederl; Beulah (Marty) Vanden Hogen, Eugene (Alice) Jansen, Mavis Jansen, Claire Jansen, Betty Jansen; many other family members and friends.

    She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Barb (Chuck) Gross; brothers and sisters: Louis (Loretta) Ploederl, Harry Ploederl, Gladys (Joe) Novy, Theresa (Ted) Dzwoniarski, Joseph Ploederl; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Jean Ploederl; Melvin, Roland, Lloyd and David Jansen (Stan's brothers).

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Fr. David Funk O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for St. John Catholic Church.

    Marcella's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oakridge Gardens, especially her friend Jo Hendricks for mom's care.

    Marcella, Stan, Barb and Chuck are all together now traveling and stopping for coffee and pie on their way to the flea market.

  • Note: Betty Jane Jansen, age 86, of Kimberly, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 at St. Paul Elder Services. She was born to the late Emil and Gertrude (Schuman) Eake on August 23, 1929. Betty attended Neenah High School. She married Roland Jansen on July 2, 1949. The family resided in Combined Locks. She was employed at Zwicker Knitting Mill until she started a family. Betty was a volunteer at St. Paul Elder Services from 1998 until her passing. She helped at the VFW for many years.

    She is survived by her children: Dan (Dawn) Jansen, Sherry (Tom) Germiat, Debra Thorne and special friend Dave Leaf; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother-in-law Martin Vanden Hogen; sisters-in-law: Clair Jansen and Alice Jansen. She is preceded in death by her husband Roland; brothers-in-law Stanley, Melvin, David, Lloyd and Eugene Jansen; sisters-in-law: Bulah Vanden Hogen Mavis Jansen, Arlene and Brenda Eake; brother Darrel and Delhart Eake.

    Funeral services for Betty will be at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street, Combined Locks with Father Andrew Kysely and Msgr.   • Marriage: William Wallace Mooney and Marian Alvina Ruwoldt were married on January 11, 1992 in Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Death: William Wallace Mooney died on September 20, 2015, at age 101.
  • Note: William Wallace "Wally" Mooney, 101, passed away on September 20, 2015. Wally was born on June 24, 1914 in Kaukauna to Halbert and Christine (Boll) Mooney. He was a 1931 graduate of Kaukauna High School and a 1932 graduate of Outagamie Rural Normal School. He served his country during WWII as a member of the US Navy and was a longtime member of the American Legion, Post 41 in Kaukauna. In 1935 he married the former Erdine Stecker in Appleton and she preceded him in death in 1991. In 1992 he married the former Marian Ruwoldt Schneider in Kaukauna and she preceded him in death in 2013. Wally worked in several places over the years. He was a former employee of Thilmany Paper, Strick's Appliance, Star Appliance and Fargo Funeral Home in Kaukauna. He owned his own television sales and repair business for several years and then worked with Rabideau-Weyenberg Appliance, retiring in 1978 at the age of 64. He was a member of Peace United Methodist Church in Kaukauna.

    Wally was very generous with his time and talents. He was active with Kiwanis and the Boy Scouts for 56 years, being the oldest living Eagle Scout in the Bay Lakes Council. He volunteered with AARP, St. Vincent DePaul, helping with respite care and gardening at Parkside Nursing Home in Oshkosh. He also volunteered time at the Thousand Island State Conservancy Area and Environmental Center for more than 20 years, serving 5 years as President of The Friends of the 1000 Islands. In 2008, the Butterfly Gardens at the 1,000 Island Environmental Center were dedicated to Wally and Marian.

    Wally will be sadly missed by, children: Eileen (John) VanNuland of Little Chute; Kathleen (Ken) Hockers of Oconto; Dale (Elaine) Mooney of Rhinelander; John Mooney of Greenville, Texas; Tom (Pat) Mooney of Kaukauna; Pete (Kim Lambries) Mooney of Kaukauna; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.

    In addition to his wives, Erdine and Marian, he was preceded in death by daughter Noreen (Francis) VandenHeuvel; 5 brothers; 4 sisters; 4 grandchildren and other relatives.

    Funeral Services for Wally will be on Friday September 25, 2015 at 11:00AM at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2300 Wisconsin Ave. with Pastor Lucretia Fehrmann officiating.
