    Eugene James Vosters, age 62, passed away November 18, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital. He was born May 1, 1948 in Appleton to parents Walter S. and Lucille D. (Vandehey) Vosters. He was a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He married his wife, Christa on March 20, 1989. He loved the ocean and liked to hunt and fish. He worked as a farmer, and also made kettle corn, built houses, cabinets and furniture.

    He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Stacey Vosters and Cindy (Steve) Shafer; a son, Eugene J. Vosters, two grandsons, Wyatt and Joshua Shafer; and a brother, Carl (Margaret) Vosters.

    He was preceded in death by his parents.

    Funeral services will be held Monday November 22 at 10 a.m. at Poindexter-Hall-McClure/Odom Chapel. Interment will take place at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Services will be performed by Father Joseph Erbacher. Military Graveside Rites will be by Odon VFW American Legion. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 21.

    Age 68, died early Saturday morning after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 23, 1909, at Freedom and lived in Kaukauna most of his life. He was employed at Giddings & Lewis Machine Tool Co. for 32 years before retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Oldsters Club at Giddings & Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Kersten) Van Dyke; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Charlotte) Weyenberg, route 1, Kaukauna; two sons: Edwin T. and Donald M., both of Kaukauna; a brother, Lambert, Appleton; three sisters; Miss Adeline Van Dyke, Appleton; Mrs. Tony (Martha) Hermans, Kaukauna; and Sister Mauricia Van Dyke, OSF, Manitowoc; and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Norman C. Krutzik officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna, after 3 p.m. today. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today.
