Jerry Phil Dunham

  • Birth: Jerry Phil Dunham was born on August 31, 1932 in Texas.
  • Death: He died on September 17, 2015, at age 83.
  • Note: Jerry Phil Dunham passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 83 on September 17, 2015. He was born on August 31, 1932 in Bowie, Texas to the late Minnie "Pearl" (Harrison) Dunham and James Dunham. Jerry graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1950 and shortly after joined the Navy. He then worked for TWA Airlines from 1954 until 1960 in Las Vegas, where he met his wife to be, Janice Van Boxtel. They married on August 28, 1958. In 1960 they moved to Wisconsin, his wife's home state. Jerry worked at Schultz Concrete Products as an office manager until he retired. Jerry enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Ervin, and spending time at the cottage on Grindle Lake. He enjoyed watching wildlife and working in his yard.

    Jerry is survived by his wife: Janice; and their four children: Angela (Bob) Schreiner, Shari (Greg) Kahler, James (Kimberly) Dunham and Stacey (Mike) Schmidt. His grandchildren are Ashley Schreiner, Courtney Schreiner, Dana (Brandon) VanDalen, Shane Kahler, Brandon Schmidt, Mason Schmidt, Darian Van Offeren, Kaelyn Van Offeren, and his only great-grand child is Harbor VanDalen. Jerry is further survived by his sister: Pat Donahue; his sisters-in-law: Donna (Ervin) Arnoldussen and Vicki Zobel; his brothers-in-law: Terry (Carol) Van Boxtel, Duane Van Boxtel, and Rick (Kathy) Van Boxtel, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Janice's parents: Pete and Wilma Van Boxtel; his sister: Connie Ross; his brothers: RD and Johnny Dunham; and brothers-in-law: Frank Donahue and Jerry Zobel.

    The family will receive friends beginning at 3:30 PM on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 Wisconsin Avenue in Kaukauna. At 6:30 PM, there will be a special time set aside to share memories of Jerry. Everyone is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.   • Note: Carol Jean Bichel, 65, of Black Creek, passed away Tuesday morning, April 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 19, 1949 daughter of the late Viola (Diedrick) Evers.

    Carol married Terry Van Boxtel having raised three children and the couple were later divorced.

    She began her career bartending in the 1980's at Tommy G's in Kaukauna. Over the years she continued bartending at Leap In in Freedom. Carol made many friends bartending throughout the years.

    On April 29, 2000 she was united in marriage to Rick Bichel. Carol and Rick enjoyed going to Packer games together.

    Carol liked going up north and staying at the motorhome during the summer, sitting around the campfire and enjoying the outdoors. She attended Rockfest in Cadott with Rick for the past 21 years where she was considered "mom" to the Rockfest family. Carol also enjoyed attending NASCAR races. Seeing her friends while she went to sign-in was one of her favorite things to do. Carol also enjoyed doing paint by number paintings, working on them almost every day.

    She is survived by her husband Rick; children: Todd (Heather) Van Boxtel, Lona Van Boxtel, Tara (Quentin) Kasuboski, Halley and Emily Bichel; grandchildren: Travis and Brittany Van Boxtel; Kayla and Crystal Olson; Nathan, Maya, Lucas, and Parker Kasuboski. Further survived by brothers and sisters: Jim (Marilyn) Evers, twin brother Carl (Betty) Evers, Nancy (John) Ziegert, Jerry (Connie) Evers, and Cheryl VanToll; mother-in-law, Pat Bichel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Chuck (Pam) Bichel, Gary Bichel, Sharon (Glen) Jensen, Katie (Dan) Hulke, and Jennifer (Brandon) Trimble; special niece, Sara Bichel; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

    Carol is preceded in death by her mother, Viola; and father-in-law, Bob Bichel.

    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 3pm to 6pm with a memorial service to follow. Major Edward Jarvis will be officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com.
