  • Note: Age 64, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2000, with her family at her side, following a brief illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and pending.Marlene was born November 2, 1936 in Combined Locks, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Menting) Revoir. On October 13, 1956, she married Martin Hubers at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute; he survives.

    Marlene was employed for many years as a cook at Marty’s Place in Kimberly, and after her retirement enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. Chick had many hobbies. She enjoyed fishing up north with her sons, and crafting and sewing for the Angel Arts and Craft Show. Her contributions will be greatly missed. She also looked forward to “signing in” every Wednesday night.

    Survivors include her husband: Martin Hubers of Kimberly; six children: Cindy (David) Wallace of Little Chute, Dawn (George) Schmidt of Darboy, Jo (Lori) Hubers of Darboy, Mark (Janet) Hubers of Darboy, Mom’s best friend Shelly (Bruce) Zeinert of Little Chute, and Sherry (Rick) Bevers of Freedom; twelve grandchildren: Amanda, Christy, and Bradly Wallace; Matthew, Michael, and Michelle Schmidt; Lukas and Rebecca Hubers; Jeffrey and Jennifer Zeinert; Brice and Jacob Bevers; a great-granddaughter: Caitlin Wallace; a sister: Betty DeBroux of Little Chute; a sister-in-law: Jane Revoir of Kimberly; two brothers-in-law: Mark Recker of Appleton and Paul Recker of Appleton. Chick was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ernest (Grace) Revoir, Donald Revoir, Pat Revoir, Dave Revoir, a sister Kay (Wilbur) Pomeroy; a grandson Ryan Bevers; a brother-in-law: Arnold (Ann) Hubers, and by sisters-in-law: Min Lucassen, Ann Recker, Nettie Recker, and Elizabeth Hubers.

    A memorial funeral liturgy for Marlene will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at HOLY ANGELS CATHOLIC CHURCH. W5831 County Road KK in Darboy. Inurnment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 5 PM until the hour of the liturgy.

    In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed to Holy Angels Parish in Darboy.

    The family would like to extend their gratitude to those who cared for Chick. They include Dr. Montgomery Elmer, Nurse Nancy Van Sambeek, and the entire medical staff on 4 North at Appleton Medical Center. Thank you for your efforts over these past days. Mom could have been in no better hands.

  • Death: Martin H Hubers died on February 14, 2005, at age 74.
  • Burial: He was buried in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Spec, as he was known to all, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, February 14, 2005 at the age of 74. Spec was born April 11, 1930, in Kimberly, son of the late Henry and Wilhelmina (Vandennewenheisen) Hubers. Spec married the former Marlene Revoir on October 13, 1956; she preceded him in death in 2001. As a young man, Spec was employed at Adler Brau Brewery in Appleton, and in 1968 he received the “job of a lifetime” working for the Village of Kimberly until his retirement in 1992. Spec enjoyed visiting his sons’ cottages, fishing, tinkering in his garage, and had a passion for inventing many things. He was very talented in many areas, but he was best known for his wood carvings which were displayed with pride in his yard for many years. Spec always enjoyed caring for the family pets, especially Sasha, Lady, and Sparkles.



    Survivors include six children: Cindy (David) Wallace of Little Chute; Dawn (George) Schmidt of Darboy; Joe (Lori) Hubers of Darboy; Mark (Janet) Hubers of Darboy; Shelly (Bruce) Zeinert of Little Chute; Sherry (Rick) Bevers of Freedom; twelve grandchildren: Amanda, Christy, and Bradly Wallace; Matthew, Michael, and Michelle Schmidt; Lukas and Rebecca Hubers; Jeffrey and Jennifer Zeinert; Brice, and Jacob Bevers; two great-granddaughters: Caitlin and Madison Wallace; two sisters-in-law: Jane Revoir and Betty DeBroux, both of Kimberly; two brothers-in-law: Mark Recker and Paul Recker both of Appleton; a special nephew: Mike Recker. Also surviving are numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many good friends. Spec was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marlene in 2001, a grandson Ryan Bevers, sisters Min Lucason, Anne Recker, Nettie Recker, Elizabeth Hubers, a brother Arnold (Anne) Hubers; four brothers-in-law: Ernest (Grace) Revoir, Donald Revoir, Pat Revoir, and Dave Revoir; and a sister-in-law: Kay (Wilbur) Pomeroy. Spec was also preceded in death by his dear friend, The Belgian, whose friendship over the years he greatly treasured.



    The funeral liturgy for Spec will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – KIMBERLY, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue with Fr. Thomas Pomeroy officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 3:00 PM until the hour of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.



    The family would like to thank the many caring neighbors for keeping a watchful eye on our father.

    DeBroux, Elizabeth M. "Betty"
    Elizabeth M. DeBroux "Betty", age 76, of Kimberly, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at her home. Betty was born on November 20, 1929, in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Menting) Revoir. On October 28, 1948, she was united in marriage to Wilfred "Bill" De Broux, the couple later divorced. Betty was a cook at Marty's Place for 23 years.

    She will be sadly missed by her son, Russ DeBroux, Little Chute; a niece, Shelly (Bruce) Zeinert, Little Chute; former husband: Bill DeBroux; sister-in-law, Jane Revoir, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers: David, Paul, Ernest, Donald; sisters: Katherine, Marlene; and a special friend, Jim.

    A memorial service for Betty will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home (204 East Kimberly Avenue) with Sister Annette Koss officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

    Betty's obsessions were golf, bowling, pull tabs, scratch offs, and spending time with her friends at "Down the Hill." As many know, her lucky number was "15." She will be deeply missed by her niece and friend, Shelly.

    Age 75, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 11, 1999. Robert was born on October 20, 1923, in Appleton to the late Michael and Susan [Vander Wyst] Ashauer. He married the former Rosemary Perdzock on June 7, 1958, in Appleton. She preceded him in death on February 5, 1982. Robert was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc. of over 30 years, retiring in 1982.

    Survivors include a daughter, Joan [William] Jackson, Racine; a grandson, Brian Jackson, Racine; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Jackson, Racine.

    He was preceded in death by an infant son, Anthony Robert Ashauer, and a sister, Ruth Jonen.

    The funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 1999, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Appleton with Father John Holly, OFM Cap., officiating. Intermint will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

    Age 56, died at 3 a.m. Saturday following a brief illness. She was born March 19, 1925 in Oconto and had been an Appleton resident for the last 25 years. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

    Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Ashauer; a daughter, Joan, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Marvin [ Georgianna] Rice, Green Bay; Mrs. Robert [Rita] Loose, Madison.

    The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Father Harry Hafenman officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and after 8 a.m. Monday until the cortege leaves for the church. The prayer and scripture service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday.

He was born in Appleton on August 22, 1951 to Earl and Lois (Welson) Jackson. Bill was united in marriage to Joan Ashauer on July 17, 1982 in Appleton. He most recently worked at Vision Plastics in Delavan. Before retirement, he was a member of the American Chemical Society and American Quality Society. Bill enjoyed astronomy, WWII history, war games, and spending time with his family.

    Bill is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joan; two children, Brian (Mandy Schlumpf) Jackson, of Mundelein, IL, and Kimberly (Dan Kelley) Jackson, of West Allis; his father, Earl; three brothers, Joe (Leslie) Jackson, of Appleton, Jerry (Kathy) Jackson, of Appleton, and Dan (Lisa) Jackson, of Appleton; and many nephews and a niece.

    Bill is preceded in death by his mother.

    Funeral Services will be held at NOON on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan.
