  • Note: Edward "Ed" F. Van Den Berg, 57, Waukesha, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, in Minnesota. He was born Oct. 21, 1954, in Green Bay, Wis., a son of the late Norbert and Jeanette (Ambrosius) Van Den Berg. On Sept. 4, 1976, he married the former Diane Przybylski at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pulaski, Wis.

    Ed loved the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation whether donating his time, money or helping to raise money. He enjoyed his motorcycle rides, being a Boy Scout leader, hunting, fishing, camping, tinkering with things and Polka dancing. While in Green Bay, he loved being Fr. Christmas. Most of all, he was a good father and mentor who loved his kids and grandkids.

    Ed is survived by his wife, Diane, Waukesha; sons, Kenneth Lee Van Den Berg, Waukesha; and Gregory James (Kimberly Jane Burnett) Vandenberg, Butler; Kimberly's children, Esther Roland and Helena Roland; sister, Jane Linsmeyer; brother, Richard (Sherryl) Van Den Berg; Lori Van Den Berg and her children, Terry and Ashley; and man's favorite companion, Tasha. He is further survived by his brother-in-law, Bernard (Darlene) Williams, Jr; sisters-in-law, Shirley Van Den Berg and Virginia (Elroy) Bublitz; and his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    Ed was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beatrice Williams; brothers: Donald Van Den Berg, and Raymond Van Den Berg; father-in-law, Daniel Vincent Przybylski; mother-in-law, Helen Ann Bolsen; nephew, Robert Van Den Berg; and brother-in-law, Ed Linsmeyer.

    Visitation for Ed will be Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at KRAUSE FUNERAL HOME, 12401 W. National Ave., New Berlin, Wis., from 3 to 8 p.m. with a service to follow. A second visitation will follow on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m.

  • Note: Age 83, died Friday, November 16, 2001 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. Russ was born in Appleton on December 4, 1917, son of the late Albert and Ella (Wheaton) Senso. On August 29, 1940, he married the former Lorraine Arnoldussen in Kaukauna; she preceded him in death on November 26, 1999. Russ was a longtime employee of Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company in Kaukauna, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cottage. Many will remember his garden and the pride which he showed in it.

    Survivors include a son: Russ (Su Ann) Senso of Neenah; two daughters: Karen Richard of Appleton and Mary (Joe) Van Handel of Neenah; six grandchildren: Meghan and Joshua Senso, Robin (Jim) Sowinski, Roxanne (Roy) Clemence, Wendy (Mike) Tesch, and Sherri Lewis; three great-grandchildren: Madison Beattie, Alexis Tesch, and Zachary Tesch; two sisters-in-law: Frances Senso of Kaukauna and Ceil Wheaton of Kaukaun; and two dear friends: Mary Hooyman of Appleton and Roy Abitz of Green Bay. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lorraine, and brothers Clifton “Nook” Senso, Elmer Senso, and Oliver Wheaton.

    Funeral services for Russ will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on that Tuesday, directly at the church, from 9 AM until the hour of the service.
