  • Note: Appleton - Nancy (Brill) Gygax, 75, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018, at home. Nancy was born on August 21, 1942 to Herbert and Marion (Lucas) Brill. She was a loving mom and proud Nana, always putting the needs of others first. She was a Girl Scout and continued that scouting tradition by being involved in both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts with her children and grandchildren. Nancy owned and operated the Too Little for Me and The Ladies Room shop for 34 years in Appleton. The friends and relationships she made through her stores were always cherished.

    Nancy is survived by her son Scott (significant other Janine Zuiches) Gygax, her daughter Cynthia (Scott) Powers, grandchildren; Connor and Kaitlyn Powers, a sister Sharon (Dave) Jarvis, nieces, other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and her step mom Bernice Brill.

    The funeral liturgy for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 10:30 AM at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURH, 410 W. Lawrence St. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral home and on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of mass at the church.   • Note: Blairsville, GA - Gerald W. "Jerry" Albers, age 78, of Blairsville, GA, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2017, with his wife and children at his side. He was born on July 12, 1939, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late George and Harriet Albers. Jerry graduated from East De Pere High School in 1958, and in November joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country in Germany for the next two years. On February 9, 1963, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Allen, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. On November of 1965, he was injured in a construction accident leaving him disabled. Jerry inspired many through his good humor, kindness, and positive attitude throughout his life. He loved his Green Bay Packers, woodworking, fishing in Minocqua, his dogs Bentley and Beamer, and helping others. Above all, he cherished being a dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. He is survived by Dorothy, his loving wife of 54 wonderful years. Jerry was blessed with three children; Julie (John) Dispoto of Bishop, GA, Debbie (Brett) Skarr of Waukesha, WI, and Jim Albers of Eastchester, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Matthew (Lisa) Akin of Blaine, MN, Michael Akin of Athens, GA, Marissa Akin of Bishop, GA, Kyle and Zach Skarr of Waukesha, WI, Hailey and Abigail Albers of Eastchester, NY. He is also survived by his great grandson, Brooks Akin, of Blaine, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Cliff, Richard, George, Tom, his granddaughter, Alexandria Skarr, and his father and mother-in-law. Jerry's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Mountain Home Health, Dr. Varnell and his staff, and the EMT's of Blairsville, GA for their wonderful care and compassion throughout the years. Also, his family would like to thank his church, friends, and neighbors for their love and support. Papa, we miss you so much, but we are comforted knowing you are no longer in pain. Your dream has finally come true to be able to WALK through the gates of heaven! The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Richard Wise officiating. The family will meet with friends at Marian Hall following the Military Honors. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Interment will be held at a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery in De Pere, WI. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
