  • Burial: He was buried in Allouez Catholic Cemetery, Green Bay, Brown Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Jerome S. “Kaz” Kacmarynski, 80, De Pere, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born December 26, 1929, in Sobieski, WI to the late Martin and Lucille (Pomprowitz) Kacmarynski. On October 23, 1954, Kaz married Marian Hendricks at St. Mary Catholic Church, De Pere. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Kaz worked at Milprint for many years and also for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier.

    Kaz was active in many sports including, bowling, golf, baseball, football, swimming, and horseshoes. He continued his love for sports by attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. He loved fishing and going to Canada for his yearly fishing trip with his friends. Kaz and Marian enjoyed spending time at the YMCA with their many friends.

    Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Marian; 4 daughters: LuAnn (George) Fabian, Kathy (Bob) Barge, Janice Kacmarynski, and Karen (Randy “Beat”) Szcepanski; grandchildren: Lisa, Kelly, Janan, Tim, Cameron, Miranda, Andrea, and Joe; great-grandsons, Ty and Sawyer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Doris Kacmarynski, Judy Kaz, Bernice Hendricks, Millie (Jack) Walsh, Jim (Carol) Hendricks, and Delores Vernosh and Norman; and many other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Mary; and sisters and brothers: Lorraine (Bill) Robertson, “Party” Marty Kacmarynski, Clem Kaz, and Joyce Kacmarynski.

    Family and friends may call Friday, September 24, 2010, at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m., with a parish prayer service at 7:30p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John the XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview, from 9:30a.m. until 10:15a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church, on Saturday at 10:30a.m. with Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Mausoleum.

    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

Biography

  • Birth: Darrel David Vernosh was born on December 31, 1933 in Green Bay, Brown Co, Wisconsin.
  • Death: He died on December 31, 2014, at age 81.
  • Note: Darrel David Vernosh of Howard passed away unexpectedly on his 81st birthday, Wednesday, December 31, 2014. He was born to the late Earl and Grace (Miller) Vernosh on December 31, 1933 in Green Bay. Darrel served in the US Navy Reserve, and was employed as a machine operator at P&G; after 42 years "Blacky" proudly retired. He spent retirement enjoying the outdoors, whether it was deer hunting, fishing, or taking day trips on his Honda Gold Wing. Darrel loved to share stories of hunting with Doc Burdon; time spent on "the farm" in Lena; had an appreciation for classical music, a plate of broasted chicken, and rarely missed a Saturday at Maricque's Bar for a bowl of booyah. He had a quick wit, enjoyed playing cribbage, watching the Packers play and was most happy when all of his children were gathered together.

    Survivors include his children, Thomas (Cindy) Vernosh; Gerald (Cynthia) Vernosh; Martin (Mary) Vernosh; Mary Beth Vernosh & Todd Smeester and his daughter Miranda; Suzanne Corroy & fiancé Nick Ploor; Sara Vernosh & fiancé Dave Drewieske. He was proud Grandpa to Crystal (Jeff) Brewer and their daughter Kayla; Ryan (Sara Gramer) Vernosh and their children, Miah & Raeanna; Tamara Vernosh and children, Durien McFadden & Maleigha Munson; step grandchildren, Katherine Kroutkramer; Elyse (Brett) Kuhn and their daughter, Charlotte Rose; Elise (Andrew) Gorski and their children, Liam & Jacob; Elena Vernosh; Daniel Reesman, Kassie & Morgan Corroy; and Justin Havener. Also surviving is his special friend, Kathy Hendrickson and her children, Kelly (Chris) Trickey, Samantha & Ali; Wayne (Melody) Hendrickson, Ben & Cameron; Amy (Barry) DeVillers, Madeline & Henry; Robert (Krista) Hendrickson, Kayla & Trevor; and we can't forget his four legged companion, Ching. Dolores Vernosh also survives as the mother of his children.

    Darrel was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dan; other relatives and friends; family dogs Ginger and Gypsy.
