  • Note: Betty Jane Blasczyk, 86, Green Bay, died Sunday, October 15, 2017. She was born on October 8, 1931, in Green Bay to John and Mayme "Mary" Maus.

    Betty was a graduate of Green Bay West High School, Class of 1949. On April 22, 1950, she married her beloved husband of 67 years, Michael A. Blasczyk. Betty was very proud of her large family, with whom she enjoyed doing whatever she could to help them in every way. She also loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    Betty liked sewing, baking, doing her circle-a-word book, putting together puzzles, and going to the cottage in Lakewood. During her younger years, she worked as a waitress, cleaned offices, and worked Packer concession stands for Kress, all while raising her eight children. She enjoyed bartending in her neighborhood, and finally owned The Rendezvous in Green Bay for many years until retirement. Betty volunteered at her church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, cleaning.

    She is survived by her children, Diane (Ken) Szczepanski, Mike (Cathi) Blasczyk, Jim (Ginny) Blasczyk, Jo Ann (Joe) Frisque, Dennis (Wendy) Blasczyk, Steve (Karen) Blasczyk, Gloria (Karl) Plog, Randy (Julie) Blasczyk; nephew, Lloyd (Ann) Wishart; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; sister, Dora Van Dreel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irene (Clarence) Jolly, Rose (Roy) Barrette, Marie (Lloyd Sr.) Wishart; Jackie Maus; brother-in-law, Les Van Dreel.

    Friends may call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. He was born on February 20, 1984 in Appleton, son of Kerry and Pat M. (Benzschawel) Kuehl. Sam was a 2002 graduate of Brillion High School and currently worked as a mason in the Fox Valley Area. He was a proud and gifted mason and had a tremendous work ethic. He loved all sports, but baseball and softball were his life. You could always count on Sam, who had a big heart and big smile that he shared with everyone. Survivors include his parents, Pat M. and Kerry Kuehl of Brillion, paternal grandmother Pat Kuehl of Kaukauna, his god parents, Bob Benzschawel and Karen Kane and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Florence and Bob Benzschawel and Eugene Kuehl. Funeral service for Sam will be held on Thursday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Brillion Community Church, 821 Fairway Drive. The Rev. Sam Timm will officiate. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion, and then on Thursday at church from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Brillion Athletic Associations new baseball diamond.     Ken is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cicero. He was employed with Heyrman Construction until his retirement. Ken was a past member of Pittsfield Gun Club and enjoyed trap shooting, was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed his trips to Canada, gardening, playing cribbage and his trike rides. Ken was a man of many talents and was known as the booyah connoisseur.

    He is survived by his very special friend, Jean Smith; children: Sandy (Bill) Lemke, Craig (Linda) Mayotte, Linda Skarda, Chris Mayotte, Rene (Mike) Walker, Laureen (Jim) Hayden; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers: Clayton (Dody) Roskom and Lenny Roskom; two sisters: Doris Geer and Judy Smurawa.

    Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Joan; brother, Norman and sister, Shirley.

    Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, N9580 County Rd. X, Black Creek on Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 10:00 am until services at noon with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating.
