On May 5, 1951, in Kaukauna, she married her husband of 43 years Mark. Together they raised seven children, as well as many dogs and one cat over the years! She had a soft spot for children and animals - never was able to turn away a stray. Along with caring and feeding her children daily, her famous breaded pork chops, as well as anything else she cooked up daily was enjoyed by many of our friends. Her kitchen door was always open.
Mother is survived by sons, Mark, Bruce (Deb), Steve (Pam), and Christopher (Michelle), daughters Patricia and Colleen. Grandchildren include Chelsea, Kristen, Jason, Ben, Ross, Travis, Justin, and one new great grandchild Parker.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Saunders, husband Mark, son Glen, and lifelong friend Marge Munger.
Ellie spent the last few years at Manor Care in Appleton. Her family will be forever grateful for the care given by the staff. We would like to send a special thanks to an angel there, Deb Prahl, who has watched over mother for us during her time at Manor Care.
In accordance with family wishes, a private memorial will be held at Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a prayer for Ellie and her family will be most appreciated at this time. Mom, you will be forever in our hearts. Love - your children and grandchildren.
