  • Note: Stephen D. Vondracek, age 22, of Greenleaf, died suddenly as the result of an automobile accident. The son of Daniel and Doreen (Johns) was born in 1994. He graduated from Wrightstown High School in 2012 and worked for Professional Plating, in addition to tending bar at the Evergreen, which he truly enjoyed. He was proud to own and ride a Harley. Stephen also enjoyed playing volleyball in summer, listening to country music and attending Hodag Country Festival, finding deals at the mall and craft shows, and perhaps most of all, spending treasured time with his sister Brittany.

    Stephen will be missed by his dad and mom, Daniel and Doreen; sister Brittany (fiancé Steven Trost) Vondracek; brother Kyle Johns; grandma Rose Ann Vondracek; aunts and uncles: Debbie (Doug) Thiele and children: Jamie, Ryan, Christopher, Heather and Tiffany; Denise (Brian) Tamm and children: Jenny (TJ) Moehr with their children Parker, Avah and Havannah, Doug (Dawn) Johns and son Dawson, Darrell (Mary) Johns and daughter Sara Johns and her daughter (Stephen's goddaughter) Sawyer, Deana (special friend George) Johns, Darcy Johns and David (Connie) Vondracek; other family and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Lowell and Shirley Johns; his paternal grandpa Alfred Vondracek; and family friend Ron Bockin

    Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Mary Site, 2218 Day Street, Greenleaf, on Sunday, November 6, from 3-7 pm, with a parish prayer service to conclude the evening. Visitation will continue on Monday, at the church, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

    Our family would like to thank County Rescue, the Brown County Sherriff's Department, and Morrison Fire Department for their compassionate efforts.

    John Thomas Ayres, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Ayers of Memphis, Tennessee, formerly of Neenah, passed away at St. Nicholas hospital this morning from an infection. Mrs. Ayers and son have been visiting here for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Berger, N. Fifth street.
    The body was taken to the Ballhorn Funeral Temple. The funeral will probably be held Tuesday.

    Bob Bergschultz remembers that, as a young boy, there was always room, for. another person at his family's dinner table on Sundays.
    "My mom always had a big dinner on Sundays. People would show lip with their kids and stay for dinner. I would look around the table and it would be full of people," Mr. Bergschultz said.
    "My parents would grouse about it afterward, but they never turned anyone away. Mom was a very caring person. We didn't have much, but we always had good meals."
    His mother Margaret M. Bergschultz is probably in charge of a kitchen somewhere in heaven, Mr. Bergschultz said.
    Mrs. Bergschultz, 83, died of congestive heart failure Monday, March 1, at Progressive Care Center in Sheboygan. She formerly lived on Cedar Beach Lane in the Town of Belgium. She also lived in Sheboygan for several years.
    Mrs. Bergschultz chose to go to Progressive Care Center because she had volunteered there for many years.
    "She was always doing volunteer work. She liked to help people," her. son said.
    A Port Washington native, she was born July 31, 1921, to John and Susan Prom Ayers.
    On Nov. 21, 1939, she married Myron "Miney" Bergschultz of Wausau. Mr. Bergschultz died Aug. 2, 1989.
    The couple owned and operated the Cedar Beach Bar in the Town of Belgium from 1990 to 1966. Mrs. Bergschultz was known for her cooking and also did catering with Sharon Tackes.
    She.was also a cook and waitress at the former Roob's Restaurant and Harry's Restaurant, both in Port Washington.
    Mrs. Bergschultz. was an assembler at Tecumseh Power. Products in Grafton, where she served as a union steward. She retired in the late 1980s.
    "She was a person who would speak her mind," Mr. Bergschultz said. "If she had .something to say, she would tell you and not say things behind your back."
    Her love for cooking was matched only by her love for animals, her son said.
    "She loved her animals and she loved watching birds. She used to get such a kick out of Dad trying to keep the squirrels from getting the birdseed," he said.
    Mrs. Bergschultz was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Belgium Auxiliary Post 5373 and Friends of HarrIngton Beach State Park.
    Mrs. Bergschultz is survived by three sons, Bob (Lynne) of Fredonia, Jim (Pat) of Sheboygan and Don (Sherry) of Port Washington; six grandchildren, Casey, Kenny, Kevin, Ginny, Ann and Monica; and four great-grandchildren.
    "She is also survived by her sister Sue Jane (Chuck) Hirschhorn of Jackson Heights, N.Y.
    In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bergschultz was preceded in death by two brothers, Aloys and Clement Ayers, and sister Marcy Nakutis.
    Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, March 4, at Poole Funeral Home in Port Washington. Father James Ernster will officiate. VFW Auxiliary 5373 will
    participate ·in the service..
    Visitation will be from 10, a.m. to noon Thursday.
    Burial will be in ·St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Lake Church. .
    Memorials to the Sheboygan County Humane Society are suggested.

    At St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington, the wedding of Miss Margsylvia Ayers to Joseph Nakutis of Chicago was solemnized this morning by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter Holfeltz.
    The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, A. L. Ayers of Appleton, wore a princess gown of white silk organza with insertions of Chantilly lace and a sweeping train. Her long tulle veil fell from a coronet of pearls and orange blossoms and she carried white Kilarney roses, babybreath and bouvardia.
    Mrs. Roy Roller, matron of honor, wore nile green mousseling de soie with a full corded skirt and a matching tiara of gardenias with a maline veil. Her flowers were yellow roses and babybreath.
    Miss Dorothy Zanger of Logansport, Ind., and Miss Marguerite Ayers, sister of the bride, bridesmaids, were dressed in pink and blue mousseling de sole gowns with corded capes and skirts. They had contrasting wreaths of flowers in their hair and carried Briarcliff roses, blue delphinium and babybreath. Joseph Adams of Chicago was the bridegroom's best man and Albert Nakutis, brother of the bridegroom, was the usher.
    A wedding dinner for the immediate relatives was served at the home of the bride, and this afternoon the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Devil's lake. They will reside in Chicago. The bride was formerly a stenographer in the office of Attorney Albert W. Grady at Port Washington.
