    Betty graduated from Green Bay East High School. On August 16, 1958, she married Ronald E. Counard in Green Bay. Betty was employed by H.C. Prange Co., later Younkers, for many years before retiring. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to athletic and academic events, and to the Oneida Family Fitness Center. The highlight of her year was going to Marco Island in Florida for the Winters with her husband, Ron. Betty made many friends on Marco Island.

    She is survived by her husband, Ronald; three children and their spouses, Chad and Debbie Counard, Lori and John Czapiewski, and Brian Counard; four grandchildren, Heather Gandarilla, Christine Counard, Joshua Counard, Morgan Napier; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Lilliana, Juan; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bob Hendricks; sister-in-law, Rosemary Counard; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Betty was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Dix; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Counard.

    Ron graduated from Green Bay West High School, Class of 1956. On August 16, 1958, he married Betty Dix in Green Bay. They celebrated more than 57 years together before Betty preceded him in death on July 20, 2016.

    Ron was employed as a welder at Northwest Engineering for many years. He later worked for the City of Green Bay as a bridge tender, mostly on the Walnut St. Bridge, for many years until his retirement. The highlight of Ron's year was going to Marco Island in Florida for the winters with Betty. They made many friends on Marco Island through the years. Ron was an avid fisherman both in Wisconsin and Florida. He enjoyed spending time at Titletown Fitness and he enjoyed the friends he made there.

    Ron is survived by his three children and their spouses, Chad and Debbie Counard, Lori and John Czapiewski, and Brian Counard; four grandchildren, Heather Gandarilla, Christine Counard, Joshua Counard, Morgan Napier; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Lilliana, Juan; two sisters-in-law, Rosemary Counard and Barb Dix; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Bob Hendricks; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents; brother, Kenny Counard; brother-in-law, Richard Dix; and two half-brothers, Robert and Jerry Paradise.

He was born March 13, 1942, to the late Norbert and Myrtle (Boerschinger) Linssen in Green Bay. Dennis served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. On March 15, 1965, he married Sue Fischer in Saginaw, Michigan. He had been employed at Fort Howard for many years.

    Dennis is survived by his wife, Sue; his children, Michael Linssen, Oneida, Denise Williams, Green Bay, Troy (Nicole) Linssen, DePere, Scott Linssen, La Crosse, and Sean (Tara) Linssen, Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Tyler Williams, Anna Linssen (Jeff), Trent Williams, Garrett Linssen, Bryce Linssen, Paige Linssen, Cassie Linssen, Justin Linssen, Alexia Linssen and Austin Linssen; two step-grandchildren, Kevin Williams and Kristina Williams; and his siblings, Gerald Linssen, Jean (Ben) Van Den Berg, Sharon Buresh (Cindy), Joe (Donna) Linssen and Randall Linssen.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and his sister-in-law, Helen Linssen.

    Visitation for Dennis will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, August 3, after 10:00 am at the funeral home. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dennis's name. All contributions will be given to the Alzheimer's Association , the American Cancer Society and Unity Hospice.

    The family would like to thank Dr. John Rank and his staff and the entire staffs of Unity Hospice, especially Laura and Unity Hospice Respite, especially Mary and Cindy for their care, concern and compassion for Dennis.
