Biography

  • Birth: Chad A Hafeman was born on December 24, 1980 in Appleton, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Death: He died on May 27, 2016, at age 35, in Appleton, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Chad A. Hafeman, age 35, of Appleton, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016. He was born on December 24, 1980 in Appleton to Roger and Lynette. Chad attended Appleton High School and went on to The Fox Valley Technical College where he studied welding. He was most recently employed as a concrete worker.

Chad was a person who would light up a room with smiles, laughter, jokes and his well-known dancing. His "Jack-of-all-Trades" abilities were beyond the working hands as he also loved dancing crazy with his kids and was never afraid of embarrassing them; Chad's children were his world and he loved them more than they will ever be able to know. Chad never cared of what others might think of him and he lived everyday being who he wanted to be. He most enjoyed his family and friend time with cookouts (Chad was an excellent cook), camping, pool leagues, video games and listening to endless music that kept him believing that life goes on. Chad would always put his own problems aside to help, comfort and protect others. He was known for his glory of putting everyone ahead of himself. His children are what kept him going because he too was still a kid at heart.

Chad is survived by his 8 children, Brandon Sumnicht, Devin Sumnicht, Eliza Hafeman, Airyana Hafeman, Natasha Hafeman, Niles Hafeman, Mason Hafeman and Logan Hafeman; parents, Roger Hafeman and Lynette La Bonte; step-mother, Judy Hafeman; six siblings, Boyd (Toni) Bender, Melissa (Casey) Wheeler, Amber (Kevin) Ostorero, Trisha Strong, Travis (Sabrena) Hafeman and Nicole (Jason) Thurke; grandparents, Mildred Hafeman and Joanne and Napoleon La Bonte. Chad is further survived by 11 nieces, 5 nephews, many more dear relatives and close friends.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Hafeman.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at WICHMANN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. Appleton. Visitation will take place on Friday starting at 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated in Chad's name. • Note: APPLETON - The wife of a man who died early Friday morning was booked into the Outagamie County Jail on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide.

Tina M. Hafeman, 34, was arrested Friday in the stabbing death of her husband, Chad A. Hafeman, 35, according to a statement from the Appleton Police Department.

Police were called to the couple's home at 908 N. Durkee St., at 3:41 a.m. for a report of a medical emergency.

They discovered Chad Hafeman with injuries "consistent with being stabbed." He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

    No additional details were released.

An autopsy was scheduled for Friday morning, Sgt. Dave Lund said.

The couple's children were at the residence when the homicide happened and are being cared for by extended family, Capt. Todd Freeman said. He declined to say how many children were in the home at the time.
