On June 5, 1946, she married William Treml at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2010. . She was very active in the church communities of St. John the Baptist and St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Churches, volunteering with many organizations. LaVerne was also an active participant in the Hats and Mittens ministry for Infants of Missionaries. LaVerne volunteered at Bellin Hospital with her husband, Bill for many years. She very much loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also found great joy and pride in tending to her flowers. Survivors include her children, Joseph (Kathleen) Treml, Suamico; James Treml, Green Bay; Judith (Daniel) Schlader, Green Bay; John (Catherine) Treml, California; and Jane (Ray) Newman, Denver, CO; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law Raymond Ebben and Leonard Mader. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Leona (Bernard) Krines and Joyce Ebben; brothers-in-law, George, Leo, Frank, and Henry Treml; sisters-in-law, Rose Przybelski and Tillie Mader. Friends may call at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., on Monday after 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. David Pleier officiating. Burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.   • Note: William A. Treml, 89, Green Bay resident, died Sunday evening, March 7, 2010, at a local hospital. William was born on June 23, 1920, in the Town of Glenmore, to the late Frank and Katherine (Schaetz) Treml.

    On June 5, 1946, he married the former LaVerne VandenBerg at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay. He was an avid bowler, gardener and golfer. William was very talented at tatting, an artistic form of needlework and stitching. He grew up on the farm and later honed his skills as a carpenter; he was a hard worker. William was a lifelong member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.

    Survivors include his wife of 63 years, LaVerne, Green Bay; children, Joseph (Katherine) Treml, Suamico; James Treml, Green Bay; Judith (Daniel) Schlader, Green Bay; John (Catherine) Treml, California; and Jane (Ray) Newman, Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Raymond Ebben

    Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Leo, Frank and Henry Treml; and sisters, Rose Przybelski and Tillie Mader.

    Friends may call at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., on Thursday after 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. He was born on 18th of Jan,1929 in a town called Kaukauna,Wisconsin.At the age of 16 he join the US Navy so he could support his mother Pearl & older sister Dolores since his father Howard Macrorie died at early age.A few years later he had honorable discharge from the US Navy & join the US Army.He served honorably for 23 more years.During his service with the army he was rewarded the following medals one silver star,2 bronze, one with clusters and 2 air medals.He spent a tour in the Korean War & 3 tours in Vietnam.He was a hero in my family eyes. To go to a hostile foreign countries as a Combat Engineer under constant enemy fire rebuilding bridges to support whose troops.He was in the 1st air cav division. He met his wife Shizuko in Japan in 1955 and they were married,they had two kids,A son Bruce and my sister Dolores.My brother-in -law Lorenzo Smith the best carpenter in this county.he could build any thing my father wanted.Then he had a granddaughter Kelly The brains in the family.and two great grandchilden Alyssa and Jayden what a handful! Dad there won't be a day that goes by that I always will thinking of you.I will love those good & sad time I've learned a lot from you.I know that God is looking out for the way you looked out for us.I will always miss my hero, your son Bruce

    From the daughter Dolores; Sylvester Macrorie was a great and kind hearted man. He served in the Army for 23 years. He was a war hero serving the Korean War and three tours of Vietnam. After he retired from the Army he worked as a Head Custodian and school bus driving instructor for the Washington Union School District 17 years. He was loved by his co-workers and after retiring he always looked forward to meeting some of his co-workers for breakfast and lunch; he enjoyed meeting and spending time with them. He had one son, Bruce, one daughter, Dolores and a son-in-law Lorenzo who he loved like a son! A granddaughter, Kelly Ayon and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Jayden that were the joy of his life!
    He was the best dad ever and I will forever miss him! <3 He is now in paradise as an angel watching over and protecting his family and friends.
    Rest in Peace and I love you Dad!
