  • Birth: Earl (Dan) Miller was born on October 3, 1930 in Appleton, Outagamie Co, Wisconsin.
  • Death: He died on March 11, 2016, at age 85.
  • Note: Miller Jr., Earl "Dan" 85, of Northbrook, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Appleton, WI on October 3, 1930 to Earl and Vi (Adrian) Miller. After serving in the Air Force, Dan enjoyed over 50 years as a successful and self-employed sales rep for Miller's Mill Lines. Being a native of Wisconsin, Dan was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed cheering on the "Green & Gold" with fellow fans, whether in Lambeau Field or watching at home. Dan was also a devoted follower of the Chicago Cubs. As an avid golfer, he realized his dream of making a hole-in-one. Active in his church as a Eucharistic Minister, Dan made countless friends and truly had a "wonderful life." Dan is survived by his adoring wife, Aileen; children, Ann (Pat) Smith, Dan (Jim) Miller, Mike (Molly) Miller, Joe, Pat (Katy) Kennedy, and Kathleen Kennedy; grandchildren, Sarah, Laura, Matthew, Mary Claire, Emily, Jacob, Kathryn, Kevin, Tom, Patrick, Conor, Nick and Michaela; and siblings, Roberta "Skitch" and George. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Janice and Nancy. A visitation will be held at St. Norbert Catholic Church, 1809 Walters Avenue in Northbrook, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 15. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
