  • Note: Nancy K. Van Nelson, 64, passed away after a six month courageous fight with an illness Saturday, February 13, 2016. Nancy was born March 7, 1951 the daughter of the late Earl and Leona (Raymakers) Van Nelson. Nancy graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1969 and NWTC in accounting in 1971. She worked in accounting for various businesses. Nancy sang with the Chantelles for over 30 years.

    She enjoyed swimming at the YWCA, spending time with nieces and nephews, painting Christmas ornaments, sewing, and her dog Bailey. She was a Mariner Girl Scout, Ship 99, first a Girl Scout and then a leader.

    Nancy is survived by her six siblings, Mary Pittler, Green Bay, Judy (Dean) Whiting, Madison, Bill (Cheryl) Van Nelson, De Pere, Tom (Carol) Van Nelson, Summit Lake, Linda C. Van Nelson, Green Bay, Jim Van Nelson, Green Bay; three nephews; eight nieces; four great-nieces and nephews; and Rita Marx, a lifelong friend.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Dick Pittler.

    Friends and relatives may call at the St. Willebrord Parish (209 S.Adams, Green Bay) on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 9 to 10:15 AM. A prayer service will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.     After graduation, Linda found employment as an office manager for several plumbing companies in cities including Madison, Milwaukee and Little Chute.

    Linda is survived by her brothers: Bill (Cheryl), Tom (Carol) and Jim Van Nelson; sisters, Judy (Dean) Whiting and Mary T. (the late Dick) Pittler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy.
