She married Henry J. Heezen on June 19, 1948 at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere, and they shared 47 years together until he passed away on March 5, 1996. Blanche was a nurse for St. Mary Hospital, and later was a dairy farmer with her husband. Her hobbies included woodcarving and feeding birds, and she was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she served meals for funerals.

    Survivors include her children: Jane (Jim) Marsland of Suamico, Joan Heezen of Hudson, Dave (Sandy) Heezen of Greenleaf, Betty (Mike) VanDeWalle of De Pere, Beverly (John) Gage of De Pere and Barb (Verne) Doherty of De Pere; grandchildren: Jessie (Jim) Thibaudeau, Jerry (Nikki) Marsland, Jake Heezen, Kelly (Kyle) Boyce, Adam (Laura) VanDeWalle, Miranda Gage, Jack Gage, Teele (fiancé Louis Goss) Doherty; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Cole, Alexandra, Kamrie, Atlanna, Venna and Mitchel; brothers and sisters: Alice Wicker, Mary Schmidt and Don (Regina) Cleven; brother and sister-in-law: Helen VandeHei, Cy Cleven and Dorothy Heezen.

    Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie Cleven, her husband, Henry J. Heezen; brother, Robert Cleven; great-grandson, Kenny Wertel; mother and father-in-law: George (Elizabeth) Heezen; brothers-in-law: Arnie Schmidt, Robert (Betty) Heezen, Hill (Amelia) Heezen, Pete (Rose) Heezen, John Heezen, Lambert (Mabel) Heezen, Andy (Rita) Heezen, Clarence VandeHei and Bernard Wicker; sisters-in-law: Kate (Bernard) VandenBergh and Sr. Lambert Heezen.

  • Note: Alice Wicker, 89, De Pere, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. The daughter of the late John and Minnie (Hendricks) Cleven was born on July 8, 1927. She married Bernie Wicker on September 9, 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church, where she remained a member all her life and was a member of the Christian Ladies Society. Alice worked for Fox Converting in De Pere, and was a poll worker for many years in De Pere as well. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, flowers, baking (especially pies), watching birds, and watching Brewer games. Bernie and Alice also helped the community by delivering meals on wheels. Above all, she enjoyed her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

    Survivors include her children: Dan Wicker, Kathy (Harry) Tease, Jim (Lisa) Wicker and John (Wendy) Wicker; grandchildren: Heather (Al) Schimberg and their daughter Maddie, Jason (Trina) Tease and their daughter Aubrey, Emily, Jessica and Nathan Wicker, Lauren and Colin Wicker; brother Don (Regina) Cleven; a sister Mary Schmidt; sisters-in-law Catherine Gossen, Caroline Kocken and Dorothy Wicker, as well as many nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her husband Bernie, Alice was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon; brother Bob (Cy) Cleven; sister Blanche (Hank) Heezen; as well as in-laws: Dick (Shirley) Wicker, Bud (Dorothy) Wicker, Clarence Wicker, Sr. Theresa Wicker, Lauretta (Wilbur) Goffard, Genevieve Koslowski, Murella Wicker, Frank Gossen, Norb Kocken and Arnie Schmidt.

    Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Monday, November 14, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Monday with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere.   • Note: Don "Donnie" Cleven, the son of John and Minnie (Hendricks) Cleven, born August 16th, 1929, passed on to heaven on July 18th, 2017, with his family by his side. He married Regina Alberts on September 7th, 1957.

    Donnie graduated De Pere High School in 1947. He joined the Army and served for two years during the Korean Conflict. After the military, he farmed in Wrightstown and also in De Pere in the neighborhood where he grew up. Donnie also worked for Wisconsin Public Service for 28 years and for many years after retiring, he did contract work for WPS and loved packing his tools in his Ford pickup to help out at his children's farms and homes. Don was a man that could fix anything. He was proud of his family, of being a farmer, and for serving his country. He had a wonderful, dry sense of humor with a laugh that started in his eyes. He was an incredibly great man that will truly be missed.

    Donald was preceded in death by his parents, sister Blanche and her husband Hank Heezen, brother Bob and his wife Cy, sister Alice and her husband Bernard Wicker, and brother-in-law Arnie Schmidt; his in-laws Edna and Milton Devroy, Cletus and Dorothy Alberts, Walter Alberts, Reginald Alberts, Irma Alberts, Joan and Clayton Pigeon, Bob Ward.

    Survived by his wife, his children: Mike (Cindy); Mark (friend Bridgette); Bonnie; Bryan (Diane); Jim (Lori); Jeannie (Mark); Tom; Theresa. grandchildren: Krystal Cleven, Brittany (Chris) Castignanie, Keith Jahnke; Zach Cleven; Breana Cleven (fiance Jason); Danielle Cleven (friend Josh); Kyle Cleven; Kaitlin (Trent) Scott; Travis Cleven; Jason Cleven; Stephanie (Troy) Jorgensen; Allisha Schlies; Jacob Malcore; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Schmidt, sister-in-law Joanne Ward, brothers-in-law Jude Alberts, Virgil Alberts, nieces, nephews, and many friends, neighbors, and godchildren.

    Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, on Monday, July 24 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. A Parish Prayer Service will conclude the evening.   • Note: Mrs. Robert "CY" Cleven, 92, De Pere, passed away peacefully on Friday September 9, 2016. The former Cyrilla Guerin was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Nell (Calaway) Guerin and was born August 28, 1924 in Green Bay. On May 8, 1948, she married Robert J. Cleven in Waukegan, IL. Bob preceded her in death June 22, 2008.

    Cy was very active in the community and was a loving wife and mother. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent for many years and was a member of the De Pere women's Club. Cy worked as a Risk Manager and Director of Social Services at Victory Hospital in Waukegan, IL.

    She is survived by her two children. Laura (Mark) Roherty, Thiensville, WI., John (Kathy) Cleven, Antioch, IL., six grandchildren, Christina (Christopher) Rauch, Matthew (Lisa) Roherty, Amy (Matthew) Cain, Daniel, Amanda, and Rebecca Cleven. Her four great grandchildren, Delaney, Cal, Hadley, and Leo also survive.

    Cy was preceded in death by her husband, and two brothers Basil and James.

    Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, De Pere after 9:00 AM on Thursday September 15, 2016. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Fr.   • Note: Jeanne D. Hendricks, age 82, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the McCormick Memorial Home. She was born March 9, 1931, daughter to the late Frank and Etta (Lieffort) Denissen. She married Denis (Denny) Hendricks on July 12, 1952 in De Pere. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2001. Denny and Jeanne raised their 6 children in De Pere, and family meant so much to them. Jeanne enjoyed her monthly meetings with high school girlfriends throughout her life. "The Club" meetings kept her in touch with wonderful friends. She also enjoyed sewing, playing cards, singing, crocheting, gardening and reading. She especially liked being a grandma and a great-grandma.

    She is survived by her 6 children: Geri (Mark) Norman, Shawano, Scott (Barb) Hendricks, De Pere, Marcia (Mike) Jaskulski, Florida, Lee Ann (special friend Bob Lynett) Hietpas, De Pere, Sandy Taylor, Arizona and Tracy VandeLoo, De Pere. She had 11 grandchildren: Andy (Beth) Norman, Krissy (Dave) Dahms, Mike Hendricks, Scott Hietpas, Heidi Hietpas, Katie Jaskulski, Carly Jaskulski, Charlie Taylor, Max Taylor, Fred Taylor and Addie VandeLoo. She had 3 great-grandchildren: Beatrice Norman, Cooper Dahms and Lucy Dahms, 2 sisters-in-law, Joyce Hendricks and Marilyn Denissen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Denny, son-in-law Daniel VandeLoo; 3 sisters, Gertrude Smits, Clara Trout and Christine Wicker; 4 brothers, Dick Denissen, Mark Denissen, Joe Denissen and Dave Denissen, 1 brother-in-law, Gerry Hendricks and a niece, Nancy (Hendricks) Hadler.

    Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, on Monday, May 13, from 2:00pm until 3:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00pm on Monday, with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
