    Funeral services for John G. Daanen, 25, De Pere, who drowned in the East river in New York City while on his honeymoon May 1, will be at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Mary Catholic church, de Pere.
    The body was recovered Wednesday morning. Friends may call at the Coffey Funeral home, De Pere, after 7 o'clock Friday evening. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Friday evening at the Funeral home. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet cemetery, de Pere.
    Daanen was born April 4, 1932, at De Pere.
    Survivors include the widow, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Daanen, De Pere; one brother, Milton, Appleton, and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Daanen, De Pere.

  • Note: Bellin, Elizabeth A. "Betty" Elizabeth A. "Betty" Bellin, 78, De Pere, passed away on May 24, 2012. She was born on July 29, 1933 to the late Joseph and Rose (Vandenheuvel) Bougie. On April 27, 1957 she married Jack Daanen. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1957. On January 16, 1960 she married Gary Bellin. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1996. Betty loved knitting, solving Sudoku, visiting with others, spending time with her grandchildren and was involved in several bridge marathons. She is survived by her two daughters, Sue (Michael) Roskos and Sandra Jones; four grandchildren, Carmen, Christin, Michelle, and Sam; four brothers, Ed (Mary) Bougie, Vern (Kay) Bougie, Cliff (Shirley) Bougie, Larry (Chris) Bougie, and a sister, Mary Krautkramer as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, her in-laws, Joseph (Emma) Bellin, and a brother-in-law, Jack Krautkramer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:30pm until 7:30pm with a prayer service to be held at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Church, 2597 Glendale Avenue, Howard, from 10am until 11am when a funeral service will be held with Fr. John Bergstadt officiating.   • Note: Gerald Joseph Daanen, 81, lifetime resident of De Pere, passed away at home after a short battle with Esophageal Cancer. Jerry was born on September 7, 1932 in Green Bay the son of the now late William and Anna (Larsen) Daanen. He was joined in marriage to Roselyn (Toddy) Diny on November 26, 1953. Jerry was in the Automotive Parts Business until he retired.

    Jerry is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years Toddy, three daughters and one son-in-law Mary Joy Watkins, Linda and Paul Linzmeier and Suzanne Daanen, all of De Pere, one granddaughter Andrea Watkins, two sisters and one son-in-law Jean Baugnet, Carol (John) Vermeulen, five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law Lou Daanen, Doris Diny, Germaine Diny, Patricia Diny, Mary (Jack) Dresdow, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerry (Carol) Diny. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by one brother, Ken, one brother-in-law Donald Baugnet and future son-in-law Chuck St. Pierre, four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law Larry, John, Leo and Nick Diny, and Margaret.

    Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 4th, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Community 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Judah Pigon officiating and Rev. Jack Harper concelebrating. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.

    In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in his name. The family would like to thank everyone at Home Care Providers at St. Vincent's Health Care and Unity Hospice for all of their kindness and compassion shown to our husband and dad.

    Stan Lubinski, 80, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, in Jacksonville, Fla. Stan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley and sons, David, Paul and Brian (Renai Calderon). He is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Stanley, in-laws, Norbert and Mary Daanen, in-laws Marvin and Nancy Daanen and nephew, Kurt Daanen all of Green Bay, Wis. Stan and his sons enjoyed cars and auto racing going to Daytona Beach.

  • Note: Nancy L. Daanen, 71, De Pere, passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, 2011, at a local hospital. She was born June 29, 1940, to Arlene Heraly and the late Charles Heraly. Nancy graduated in 1958, from East Green Bay High School. On Oct. 9, 1965, she married Marvin Daanen at St. Phillip Catholic Church in Green Bay. Nancy retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, as well as the Red Hat Society, and the De Pere Home Makers Club. For many years Nancy taught Religious Education at Nativity Catholic Church. Whether it be camping, fishing, or making homemade cards, Nancy enjoyed spending time with family, and friends, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

    She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Kevin Loose) Phillips, and Kathy (Greg) Barker, as well as her 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, James, Dustin, Andrew, Amber, Adam, Emily, Kyler, and Alex, and her 2 great-grandchildren, Lily and Piper. Kim Daanen, her mom, Arlene, and her two siblings also survive her; Marilynn (Ken) Johnson, David (Jo) Heraly as well as her close friend, Susan Peters, and Marvin's family.

    Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in 1998; her son, Kurt in 2006; and her dad in 2002.

    Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive, De Pere, after 9 a.m. Monday until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Fr.
