    Mrs Martin Nackers, 77, route 2, Kaukauna, died Saturday at her home after a long illness. She was born Aug 14, 1881, in the town of Buchanan.

    Funeral services will be at 10am Wednesday at St Paul Catholic church, Wrightstown, with burial at the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the DeWane Funeral home, Wrightstown, after 7 o'clock tonight where the rosary will be recited at 8pm tonight and Tuesday.

    Survivors include her husband; nine daughters, Mrs Charles Meulemans, Mrs Edward Verhagen, and Mrs Joseph Spiering, all of Little Chute, Mrs Theodore Zimmer, Milwaukee, Mrs Madalene Eiting, Hollandtown, Mrs David Vande Hey, Kimberley, Mrs Lorraine Hardy, Sheboygan, Mrs Ernest Vande Hey, Kaukauna, and Mrs Joseph Van Groll, Appleton; two sons, Sylvester, West DePere, and Howard, route 2 Kaukauna; two brothers, Anton Nelessen, route 1, West DePere, and John, Kimberly; 43 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

  • Note: Obit. De Pere Journal Democrat 1-29-1959 Mrs. Martin Nackers, 77, Rout 2 Kaukauna, died at her home Saturday night after a illness o f three years. She fractured a hip in December and suffered a stroke two weeks ago. Born in the town of Buchanan, Outagamie county, Aug. 14, 1881, she was the former Mary Neless en. Following their marriage in 1902 the Nackers lived on the Nackers homestead farm which i s now operated by a son, Howard. She was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Paul Cathol ic Church. Survivors are her husband; nine daughters, Mrs. Charles Meulemans of Little Chute, Mrs. Theod ore Zimmer of Milwaukee, Mrs. Magdalen Eiting of Hollandtown, Mrs. David Vande Hey of Kimberl y, Mrs. Lorraine Hardy of Sheboygan,Mrs Ed Verhagen and Mrs. Joseph Spierling of Little Chute , Mrs. Ernst Vande Hey of Kaukauna, and Mrs. Joseph Groll of Appleton; two sons Sylvester o f West De Pere and Howard at home. There are also two brothers, Antone Nelessen, Route 1, W est De Pere, and John Nelessen of Kimberly; 43 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Fun eral services were held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. Paul Catholic church, Father A ugust Broekman offered the requiem Mass and burial was in the parish cemetery. Grandsons who acted as pallbearers were Robert Eiting, Eugene Nackers, Theodore Zimmer, Thoma s Hardy, James Vande Hey, and Jackie Vande Hey. Grandsons also served as acolytes and cross bearers at the mass.

    Martin A Nackers, 89, Kaukauna, Rt 2, died this morning after a short illness at the home of his son. Mr Nackers, who was born July 17, 1872, in the town of Wrightstown on the family homestead where he lived all of his life, sold the farm to his son, in 1946. His wife preceded him in death three years ago. Mr Nackers was a member of the Holy Name Society of St Paul Catholic Church.
    Friends may call at DeWane Funeral Home, Wrightstown, after 7pm Saturday. The Rosary will be recited at 8pm Saturday and Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10am Monday at St Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown, with Rev August Broekman in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Frank X. Nelessen Dies at Appleton

    WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis. -- Frank X. Nelessen died at an Appleton hospital, Friday. The deceased was taken ill Thursday night at a hotel at Appleton, and after calling for a doctor, it was decided best to take him to a hospital. Death was due to kidney trouble.

    Mr Nelessen was born April 13, 1880, at Wrightstown. He was married to Miss Celia Nackers, May 17, 1904.

    The deceased is survived by his wife, his father, Arnold Nelessen, of Wrightstown, two sisters, Mrs George Bushman of Catawba, and Mrs Martin Nackers of Wrightstown. Three brothers also survive, Antone of Wrightstown, Bernard of Suring, and John of De Pere.

    Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday morning, from St Paul's Catholic church, with the Rev. Father Buyteart officiating, with internment at the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Nelessen was a salesman for the International Sugar Feed company.

    Pallbearers for the funeral are Mr John, Bernard, and Antone Nelessen, Mr Martin, William, and John Nackers, the first three brothers of Mr Nelessen, and the latter three, brothers of Mrs Nelessen.
