  • Death: Carlton Heimmermann died on September 26, 2013, at age 73.
  • Note: Carlton "Carl" Heimmermann, 73, Appleton, passed away on September 26, 2013 after a 6 year battle with Vascular Dementia. Carl was born on February 26, 1940 in Appleton WI to the late Joseph and Genevieve (Werner) Heimmermann. He was a graduate of Appleton High School Class of 1958 and attended Fox Valley Tech. On June 12, 1962 he married the former Lucy Drexler and she preceded him in death in 2005. He served his country as a member of the US Army. Carl was employed with Miller Electric for 38 years until he retired in 2000. After retirement, Carl volunteered his time at Sacred Heart Church and at St. Joseph Food Pantry.

    He will be sadly missed by his children Brian, Waukesha, Dan (Claudia), Columbus Mississippi and their daughter Lucie, Carl's only grand-daughter, brothers and sisters, Eunice (Sylvester) Vanden Hogan, David (Ruby) Heimmermann, sister-in-law Mert Heimmermann, brother-in-law Dan Van Boxtel, dear friends Deb Hulsey and Bob and Mary Ellen Eggert, , sister-in-law Corinne (Harry) Ebmeier as well as many other relatives and friends

    He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph Heimmermann and sisters, Germaine Van Boxtel, Georgine Gengler.

    Mass of Christian Burial for Carl with be Tuesday October 1, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont Street in Appleton at 11:00 am with Fr. Rene' Balbero officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Grand Horizons, Appleton, Darboy Assisted Living and Southern Care Hospice for the wonderful care given to Carl.

    Harold R. De Goey, 53, a resident of the Fox Cities area all of his life, died Tuesday, February 19, after a long illness.

    Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Greenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Kabat officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

    Mr. De Goey was born March 13, 1926, in Kaukauna. He had been employed as a truck driver by Foremost Foods Company, Appleton, for about 30 years prior to his retirement in 1979. He has resided at 428 Adams Street, Neenah, and was a member of the Teamsters Union.

    Survivors include three brothers, William of Muskego, and John and James of Kaukauna; two sisters, Mrs. Marion Lambie of Kaukauna, and Mrs. Le Roy (Dorothy) Westby of Green Bay; a brother-in-law, Emerald (Jack) Ullery of Pharr, Texas; his fiancé, Eunice Hedtke; and nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today (Thursday), and on Friday until the time of the service.

    Age 57, died early Saturday morning at Walsenburg, Colorado, unexpectedly. She was born February 7, 1922 in Menominie, Wisconsin. She had lived in Kaukauna most of her adult life and had worked at Luedtke's Five Cents to a Dollar Store, Kaukauna, until about 10 years ago. Survivors include her husband, Emerald J.; four brothers: William C. De Goey, Muskego, John C. and James T. De Goey, both of Kaukauna; Harold R. De Goey, Neenah; two sisters: Mrs. (William) Marion Lambie, Kaukauna; Mrs. Le Roy (Dorothy) Westby, Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. The complete funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Greenwood funeral Home, Kaukauna, with the Re. William Jannusch officiating. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the Greenwood Funeral Home and on Tuesday until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
