  • Note: Diane L. Gossen, 75, Crivitz, formerly of De Pere, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 14, 2013 . She was born May 5, 1938 in Calumet County, WI, daughter of the late Clarence and Marie (Mertens) Pfluger. Diane graduated from East De Pere High School in 1956 and was founder of the Religious Program for the Developmentally Disabled for the Green Bay Catholic Diocese for many years. She was a member of the Brown County Homemakers and received the distinguished Silver Knight Award for community service in 1987. She married Donald Gossen on July 4, 1957 at St. Francis Catholic Church in De Pere.

    Diane loved baking cookies for her grandchildren, feeding the birds, snowmobiling and going to the casinos. She was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lakewood, Crooked Lake, and Silver Cliff Chapels. Diane volunteered at the thriftshop in Wabeno and basically helped anyone who needed it. She dedicated her life to the work of Jesus..

    She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Don; six children: Debbie Gossen, Dan (Kris) Gossen, Lori (Tom) Marzahl, Doug (Pam) Gossen, Donna (John) Rich, and David Gossen; nine grandchildren: Erin (Wayne), Sarah (Matt), Kevin, Kelly, Sam, Matt (Janie), Katelyn (Andrew), Adam, and Michael; one great grandson, Jack; sisters-in-law, Sally Pfluger, Nancy Pfluger, Johanna Gossen, Edna Huelsbeck, Carol Gossen; and one brother-in-law, Clarence Gossen; and many nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristin; brothers: Jim, Don and Jerry Pfluger; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Lawrence, Bob, and Orville Gossen, and Marion Evers.

    Family and friends may call Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of Mass at 5:00 p.m.at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, with Fr.   • Note: Florence Hockers, 90, of De Pere, passed away Tuesday evening Aug. 23, 2011, at a local nursing home. The daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Gossen) Andriansen, was born Apr. 14, 1921, in De Pere. On May 2, 1938, she married Urban Hockers at St. Mary Church, De Pere. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1992. Florence had been a nurse for many years. She worked at Bellin Hospital and later took care of her husband, Urban for seven years. She liked to work with flowers and enjoyed wildlife. She will be fondly remembered for feeding the geese and ducks at Voyageur Park.

    Survivors include one brother-in-law, Lawrence Lacenski, nieces and nephews, including her special niece Marian Kiley and a great-niece, Nancy Malewiski. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her brother Lester and one sister, Lois Lacenski.

    Family and friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Road, Town of Ledgeview, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Friday at the Church with Father Richard Getchel, officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.     Lacenski, Lois J.
    Lois J. Lacenski, 83, Denmark, affectionately known as "Queenie", passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. She was born in Green Bay, on May 13, 1925, to the late Frank and Nellie (Gossen) Adriansen.
    On Nov. 19, 1947, Lois married Lawrence Lacenski, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Green Bay.
    Lois was hired by Vince Lombardi, and worked for the Green Bay Packers for 23 years as a player personnel secretary. She was an avid gardener. She loved mowing the lawn on her riding mower and feeding the birds. Lois enjoyed sewing Barbie clothes, especially elegant evening gowns, and would sell them at local craft shows. She was interested in all kinds of arts and crafts.
    She was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark, and the Altar Society. Lois was also a member of the Catholic Knights, the VFW Auxiliary Post #6705, and was a member and past secretary of the "Lois Club". When her children were young, Lois was active with the Lac-Baie Girl Scout Council as a troop and camp leader.
    Lois is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence; five children, Sherry Lacenski, Denmark; Cathy (Norm) Harrington, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Joseph G. (Cheryl) Lacenski, Plover, Wis.; Julie (Karl) Sherwin, Waukesha; and Jim (Gazelle) Lacenski, Bellevue, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Florence Hockers.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Lester Adriansen.
    Friends may call at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County R, Denmark, today, Thursday, April 23, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. There will be a VFW Auxiliary service at 7:30 p.m. followed by the parish prayer service at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will continue at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2009, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, at All Saints Catholic Church, 145 Saint Claude Street, Denmark, with the Rev.   • Note: Gerald "Jerry" Cornelissen, 74, Denmark, passed away Friday March 8, 2013, at home after a three year battle with cancer. Born on May 21, 1938, in De Pere, he is the son of the late Sylvester and Vivian (Hendricks) Cornelissen. Jerry married the former Barbara "Bonnie" Coenen on November 24, 1962. He was the owner and operator of Windmill Transport for 25 years. Jerry enjoyed raising and working with his draft horses.

    He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara "Bonnie"; three children, Julie (Chip) Hill of Green Bay, Wendy (Pat) Belleau of De Pere, and Constance Cornelissen of Denmark; five grandchildren, Levi, Darin, Brooke, Ben, and Anthony; four sisters, Carol Burke, Germaine Diny, Mary Lou (Lloyd) Gussert, and Sandra Greenley; one brother, Jack Cornelissen; two sisters-in-law, Betty Spotts, and Nancy (Butch) Kroll; many nieces and nephews.

    Jerry was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, William Burke, Leo Diny, and Paul Spotts; one sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Cornelissen; mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Josephine Coenen.
