    Age 74, died Monday evening after a short illness. He was born October 29, 1901 in the Town of Freedom. He had been a resident of Little Chute most of his life. He was employed by the Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Kimberly, until his retirement in 1966. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Little Chute, and a member of the Kimberly-Clark Quarter Century Club. He is survived by his wife, marie; three sons: Gene, Appleton; Merle, Rt. 4, Appleton; and Lyle, Rt. 5, Appleton; two brothers: Joseph, kimberly; and Ves, Reedsburg; two step-sons, Donald Sanderfoot, Rt. 4, Appleton; and James, Kaukauna; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann in 1967. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Msgr, James VandenHogen Officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friendsy may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Verkuilen Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

    Earl L. Sanders, 58 of 711 E. 10th Street, a resident of Kaukauna most of his life, died early Saturday, August 19, after a short illness.

    He was born April 1, 1910 in Little Chute and had been employed at the Kimberly-Clark Corp., Neenah, for about 40 years, prior to his retirement in 1971.

    Survivors include his wife Mary Gertz Sanders; three daughters, Kay, Mary Ellen, and Diane, all of Kaukauna; a son, Kenneth of Kaukauna; four brothers, Ralph and James of Menasha, Alvin of Combined Locks, and Robert of Kaukauna; five sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Viola) Bittner of Green Bay, Mrs. Marie Friebel of Little Chute, Mrs. Leo (Rita) Hett of Menasha, and Mrs. Helen Weigman and Mrs. Robert (Peggy) DeCoster, both of Kaukauna.

    Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. John DeWane officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

    Pallbearers were Claude Kihl, Leo Siebers, Paul Retler, John and Robert Gertz and Jack Weigman.

    The Greenwood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Mary A. Sanders, age 89, of Kaukauna, died Friday evening, September 2, 2005, following a long illness. Mary was born March 28, 1916, to the late Frank and Catherine (Hendricks) Gertz, in Kaukauna, where she was a resident all of her life. She married Earl Sanders on January 14, 1939 and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1978. Together they raised four children. Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was a very good cook and enjoyed watching and listening to the Brewers. Mary is survived by her son, Kenneth; three daughters, Kay and Mary Ellen Sanders, Kaukauna; Diane (John) Stauffacher, Hilbert; three brothers-in-law, Robert Sanders, Leo Hett, Bud Kuba; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Peggy) DeCoster, Sylvia Nichols, Joyce Sanders and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters, Ray, Joey, Norbert, Paul, Kathryn, Rose and Alyce; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph, James, Alvin, Frank, Viola, Marie, Rita and Helen. The funeral liturgy for Mary will be held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at ST MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 West Seventh Street, Kaukauna, with Father Robert Udulutsch, O.F.M.Cap., officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, from 3:00 pm, until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.

    The family would like to thank Dr. Alan Cherkasky, Dr. Andrea Schimke, the visiting nurses of Ministry Home Care, the doctors and nursing staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital, including Sr. Gerri and Sr. Francine.

    Miss Dorothy Sanders, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen H. Sanders, 109 E. Ninth street, Kaukauna, and Albert Vanderweilen, Black Creek, were married at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Mary church, Kaukauna, by the Rev. Alphonse Roder. Miss Helen Sanders attended her sister as bridesmaid and Edward Dirmeyer, Shiocton, was best man. About 60 guests were present for a wedding dinner this noon at the home of the bride's parents, and the same number will be present for supper. Mr. Vanderweilen is employed at the Detroit Motor Products company and he and his wife will make their home in Detroit, leaving Kaukauna Friday.

    Ralph age 88 passed away Saturday May 22, 2004 following a short illness. Sparky was born June 18, 1915 in Little Chute the son of the late Stephen and Anna (Koehne) Sanders. He resided all of his life in the Fox Valley except for several years wile serving in the military. Ralph was formerly employed as an accountant for the Wisconsin-Michigan Power Co. for many years. retiring in 1976. He was proud to have served his country during WWII with the US Navy in the South Padific. Sparky was involved in many activities during his life including being one of the organizers of Little League Baseball and the Babe Ruth League in Appleton, assisting with the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corp., a Past Commander of VFW Harvey-Pierre Post #2778 of Appleton, member of American Legion Post #38 of Appleton, The Appleton Moose Lodge, Military Order of Cooties and the Golden K's. Sparkyi enjoyed all kinds of sports and played semi-pro foodball for the Flying Dutchman of Little Chute. He also enjoyed baseball, bowling, golfing the Packers, Chicago Cubs and his getaways to Chute Pond. Sparky enjoyed life to the fullest and always remained faithful to his God, family and country.

    Ralph will be deeply missed by his wife Joyce (Kruckeberg) Sanders of Menasha; 3 sons: Robert (Amy) Sanders of Kaukauna; Michael (Shirley) Sanders of Appleton and their children Deborah (Paul) Crowe, Mickey anbd Rebecca Sanders; and Stephen (Jan) Sanders of Manitowoc and their children Beau and Quinn; 3 great grandchildren: Emerald, Jeremy and Alex Crowe. A brother Robert (Bonnie) Sanders and a sister Peggy DeCoster. Sparky is further survived by his faithful friend Rocky; a brother-in-law Leo Hett and a sister-in-law Mary Sanders; also many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. In addition to his parents Sparky was preceded in death by an infant daughter Suzanne, his former wife Rose, 5 sisters; Rita Hett, Helen Weigmank Marie Sanderfoot, Viola and Dorothy; 4 brothers: Earl, Frank, Jim and Alvin.

    The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday May 25th at St. John Catholic Church in Menasha, 516 DePere St., with Fr. Paul Radetski officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post #2778. Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel from 5-7PM Monday and then directly at the church from 10AM Tuesday until the time of the service. The VFW visitation will be at 7PM Monday. A memorial fund has been established.
