  • Note: Age 79, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2002 at the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, following a lengthy illness. Ken was born in Appleton on July 18, 1922, son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Plesser) Stuyvenberg. During World War II, he served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in the Pacific Theater with the 76th Amphibious Tank Battalion. On February 15, 1947, Ken married the former Nori Vandehey in Kimberly; she survives. Ken was a longtime and faithful member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly, and from 1941 to 1982 he was employed by the Kimberly Clark Corporation as a Maintenance Supervisor. His work took him to numerous destinations including, Kimberly; Neenah; and Niagara, Wisconsin; Memphis, Tennessee; Fullerton, California; Beech Island, South Carolina; Niagara Falls, New York; and Puerto Rico. Ken retired in 1982, and enjoyed his cabin in the mountains with the company of his family. In his later years was ready to travel at the drop of a hat, and traveled extensively with Nori. They also enjoyed shorter trips in their motor home.

    Ken was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be sadly missed by his wife of fifty-five years: Nori Stuyvenberg of Kimberly; three daughters: Jayne (Jim) Overton of Columbia, South Carolina; Joni (Scotty) Stovall of Eugene, Oregon; Jude Stuyvenberg of Eugene, Oregon; two sons: David (Charlotte) Stuyvenberg of Seattle, Washington and Ron Stuyvenberg of Fullerton, California; seven grandchildren: Kenny (Sandra) Boyst, Cory Boyst, Michelle Boyst, Lisa Overton, Kelly Overton, Megan Stuyvenberg, Dion (Don) Disbro; a great-grandson: Harrison Boyst; three sisters: Rita (Carl) Rehfeldt of East DuBuque, Illinois; Betty (Jim) Ludwig of Chilton, and Mary (Larry) Vander Pas of Kimberly; four brothers: Donald (Ginger) Stuyvenberg of Darboy, Gene (Carol) Stuyvenberg of Kimberly, Paul (Nancy) Stuyvenberg of Kimberly, and Dick (Pat) Stuyvenberg of Kimberly; a sister-in-law: Karen Stuyvenberg of Kimberly; and an aunt: Evelyn Herm of Scottsdale, Arizona. Ken is further survived by Nori’s sisters: Mary (Kenneth) Robl of Oshkosh and Eunice (Ray) Sanderfoot of Darboy, and her brother-in-law Bill Gloudemans of Little Chute. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Joey, brothers Robert and Jerry Stuyvenberg, sisters-in-law Dorothy Stuyvenberg and Jean Stuyvenberg, and brothers-in-law Ken Martin and Bob Kramer.

    The funeral liturgy for Ken will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2002 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery will military memorial rites provided by the members of William Verhagen Post #60 of the American Legion. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the hour of the service.

    The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to Dr. Greg Johnson and his staff, as well as to the entire staff at St. Paul Home. You cared for Ken as though he was your very own; he could have been in no better hands. Thank you all so very much.

  • Note: Eunice A. Sanderfoot, 78, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Eunie was born on April 15, 1935 to Peter and Mary (Murphy) Vandehey. On September 13, 1958 she married the love of her life Raymond Sanderfoot and they spent many wonderful years together until he passed away in 2005. She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Oshkosh. Her family was the most important thing in the world and she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She loved all things Crooked Lake. Eunie enjoyed the Packers and loved football Sunday with the family. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Throughout her life Eunie was a shining example and was always positive.

    Eunie had many special people in her life. Thank you Jude for all the time spent with Mom, Dave and Mark for all those Wednesday card days, and Cheryl for that special spot on Friday.

    Eunice is survived by four daughters: Nancy (Mike) Coenen of Freedom; Karen Sanderfoot of Darboy (Greg Ziesemer); Kelly Cooper of Darboy (Mathew Hanson); and Sara Gorenchan of Darboy; four sons: Steve Sanderfoot of Milwaukee (Alison McCeardie); Bob (Sharyl) Sanderfoot of Rochester, MN; Mark (Brenda) Sanderfoot of Madison; and Paul Sanderfoot of Darboy (Michelle Waldrop); eight grandchildren: Peter Sanderfoot, Mary Sanderfoot, Katie Coenen, Tanner (Dana Hoffman) Coenen, Kylie Coenen, Caden Sanderfoot, Kendra Sanderfoot, Keegan Sanderfoot; and great grandson Maxwell. Eunie is further survived by a sister Lenore Stuyvenberg and brother and sister-in-laws; Ken Robl, Alice Sanderfoot, Cliff (Joan) Sanderfoot and Florence (Bob) Wyngaard, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Eunie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond Sanderfoot, a grandson Travis Coenen, brothers and sisters; Herman (Ethel) Vandehey, Agnes (Len) Holzer, Lucille (Walter) Vosters, Don (Martha and Myrtle) Vandehey, Florence (Bill) Gloudemans, Ken Stuyvenberg, Rose (Lee) Kroner, Glen (Bertha) Vandehey, and Mary Robl, and a brother-in-law, Vin Sanderfoot.

    The funeral liturgy for Eunie will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 12:00 PM at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY ANGELS CHURCH DARBOY. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 PM and on Thursday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Raymond L Sanderfoot

  • Note: Age 73, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2005 at UW-Hospital and Clinics in Madison. Ray was born in Little Chute on January 19, 1932, son of the late Ted and Dorothy (Mueller) Sanderfoot. Ray attended Kimberly High School and excelled in track and field by setting individual and relay records. During his service in the United States Navy, he continued his running, and was named the captain of his naval track team. Following his discharge, he began his apprenticeship in the sheet metal trade and retired in 1987. Ray was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union # 18, the Kaukauna Elks Lodge #962, the Golden K Club, and the William Verhagen Post #60 in Kimberly, which will provide military honors at the cemetery on Tuesday. He was a talented bowler, golfer, and softball player, and he also enjoyed playing cards and following the Green Bay Packers.

    Ray was a master handyman, always willing to help family members or friends who needed work done. Crooked Lake was a favorite retreat for Ray. There he loved spending numerous hours on the water teaching his kids to ski an guiding pontoon boat rides for his grandkids. His wife, children, and grandchildren meant the world to him. He he will be sadly missed by his wife: Eunice Sanderfoot of Darboy, whom he married on September 13, 1958; four daughters: Nancy (Mike) Coenen of Freedom; Karen Sanderfoot of Darboy and her special friend Greg Ziesemer; Kelly Cooper of Darboy; and Sara Gorenchan of Darboy; four sons: Steve Sanderfoot of Milwaukee and his special friend Chrissy Howe; Bob (Sharyl) Sanderfoot of Rochester, Minnesota; Mark (Brenda) Sanderfoot of Madison; and Paul Sanderfoot of Darboy; seven grandchildren: Peter Sanderfoot, Mary Sanderfoot, Katie Coenen, Tanner Coenen, Kylie Coenen, Caden Sanderfoot, and Kendra Sanderfoot; a sister: Florence (Bob) Wyngaard of Kimberly; two brothers: Vin (Alice) Sanderfoot of Kimberly and Cliff (Joan) Sanderfoot of Kimberly; a brother-in-law: Bill Gloudemans of Little Chute; and two sisters-in-law: Nori Stuyvenberg of Kimberly and Mary (Ken) Robl of Oshkosh. Ray was preceded in death by his grandson Travis Coenen, his parents, and Eunice’s parents Peter and Mary (Murphy) Vandehey, and by several brothers and sisters-in-law.

    The funeral liturgy for Ray will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, W5831 County Road KK, in Darboy with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, and again at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service. There will be an American Legion prayer service at 6:00 PM Monday at the funeral home, and a parish prayer and scripture service at 7:00 PM.

    The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the many health care professionals that have done so much for them and for Ray during his illness. They include Dr. Laurin Bellg, the staff at the Appleton Medical Center and St. Paul Elder Services, and to the phenomenal people who spend their lives caring for the lives of others at UW Health in Madison, especially everyone in the Cardiology ICU. You were incredible. A final thank you to Dr. Niloo Edwards, who gave Dad a second chance and a glimmer of hope to have more time here with his beloved family. We thank you all, and will never forget the kindness and love you showed to our family.
