    Margaret C. Vanden Heuvel, W454 Cindy Ann Lane, Kaukauna, age 89, passed away at her home, September 8, 1995. She was born on September 19, 1905 in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late William and Martha [Wanke] Brown. She was a Kaukauna resident most of her life, marrying Simon J. Vanden Heuvel on June 11, 1929. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1977. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

    She is survived by four daughters and four sons in-law, Shirley and Joseph Hoffman, St. Joseph, Michigan; Margaret and Joseph Mollen, Kaukauna; Carmen Vanden Heuvel, Kaukauna; Sharon and Fred Foster, Elgin, South Carolina; Ervin Van Handel, Glendale; a son and daughter in-law, Daniel G. and Diane Vanden Heuvel, Kaukauna; 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; a beloved sister, Elsie Schmalz, Kaukauna; many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her husbands three sisters, Helen Lamers, Wrightstown; Rose Van Eperen, Greenleaf; Agnes Vanden Heuvel, Kaukauna.

    She was preceded in death by two daughters, Vione Vanden Heuvel, and Bonnie Van Handel; a son, Gerald Vanden Heuvel, and a grandson, Craig Vanden Heuvel; three sisters, Frances Ploetz, Ann Liethen, and Viola Kreiling; five brothers, Joseph, William, Walter, Sylvester and Elmer Brown.

    The Mass of Resurrection will be at 3 p.m. Monday, September 11, 1995 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna from 4 until 8 p.m. on Sunday and after 1 p.m. on Monday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening.

    Mrs. Martha Brown, 79, 120 Doty street, Kaukauna, died about 3:15 this morning at her home after an illness of several years. Born April 16, 1872, at Bakersfield, she lived in Kaukauna for 60 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic church and of the Altar society.
    Friends may call at Fargo Funeral home, Kaukauna, from 7:30 tonight until the time of the funeral. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'slock tonight and again at 8 o'clock Friday night. A cortege will form at the funeral home at 8 o'clock Saturday morning and proceed to Holy Cross church where funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 by the Rev. Andrew Quella. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
    Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Albert Ploetz, Mrs. Loyal Schmalz and Mrs. Simon VandenHeuvel, all of Kaukauna, Mrs. Anna Liethen and Mrs. George Kreiling, both of Appleton: five sons, Joseph, Appleton, William, Sylvester and Elmer, Kaukauna, and Walter; a sister, Mrs. Marion Starring, San Francisco, Calf., 35 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was born on May 24, 1934 in Little Chute, WI, the son of the late Joseph N. and Johanna (Colby) Mollen. Joe had served his country in the US Army as a helicopter mechanic. On June 16, 1956 he married Margaret Vanden Heuvel at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. The couple lived in the Kaukauna area for 45 years, moving to their present home in 2001. Joe worked at Giddings & Lewis for 18 years and later was self employed in his machine shop. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

    Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret, 3 children: Bonnie (John) Stock and their daughter Casey, Christine (Steve) Schauer and their children Christina (Alex) and Nicholas, Joseph S. (Tammy) Mollen and their children Isabella, Vidal and Anastasia; 2 sisters: Jeanette Micke and Eileen Gregorius.

    Joe was preceded in death by his grandson Andy, siblings: Teresa Mollen, John Mollen, Anita Johnson, Bertha Van Veghel, Ignatius "Moe" Mollen, Gerald Mollen and Imelda Van Veghel.

    Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Burial will be in Parish Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Full Military rites will be conducted immediately following service outside of church.
