    Age 83, joined her son William "Billy" and daughter Mary Carla in heaven on Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. She was born on April 12, 1931 in the Town of Holland, daughter of the late William and Rosella (Arts) Brochtrup. On January 3, 1951, she was united in marriage to Linus W. Vanderloop at St. Francis Church in Hollandtown by Gloria's brother, Fr. Eugene Brochtrup. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage. Gloria loved to bake, make homemade candies, canning, playing cards, needlework, swimming, and being together with family and friends.

    She is survived by her husband, Linus; her children: Gerald (Lynn Blackwell) Vanderloop, Debra Kay (Steven) Kessler, Cynthis Marie (David) Luedtke, and Andrew (the late Sandra) Vanderloop; eleven grandchildren: Jeremy (Rebecca) Vanderloop, Anna (Anthony) Warpinski, George Vanderloop, Sarah Kessler (Jacob Laub), Richard Kessler, Matthew Luedtke, Hannah Luedtke, Jacob (Bryttany Biesemeier) Vanderloop, Seth Vanderloop, Caleb Vanderloop,and Ian Vanderloop; six great-grandchildren: Helen, Katherine, Madeline, Elijah, Linus, and Brentyn. She is further survived by a sister, Sr. Anne Brochtrup; a brother, Carlos Brochtrup; a sister-in-law, Isabelle Brochtrup, and in-laws: Pat Vanderloop, Daniel (Toni) Vanderloop, Carol VanZeeland, Mary Anne (Cletus) Feldkamp, Paul (Wilma) Vanderloop. and Shirley Vanderloop. Preceding her in death were her parents, a son Billy, a daughter Mary Carla, a daughter-in-law, Sandra Ann Vanderloop, her in-laws: Richard and Leona Vanderloop, her step-father, Mike Flynn, two brothers: Fr. Eugene Brochtrup and Roland Brochtrup, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Leo (Gladys) Haen, Leon Vanderloop, John VanZeeland, Allen Vanderloop, Grace (Hugo) Vandeyacht, and Linda Vanderloop.

    Moss, Ronald N. Ronald Moss, Little Chute, age 79, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at the Appleton Medical Center. Ron was born in Aniwa on March 19, 1926, and for many years was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper in Kaukauna, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. His employment there was interrupted during World War II, at which time he served as a member of the United States Army. Ron was a life member of the Electric City Post #3319 of the V.F.W. and the post will honor him with military memorial rites following the services at the church. Ron married Joan Baeten in 1947; she preceded him in death in 1989. In January of 2005, he married Doris Gruentzel; she survives. Ron enjoyed collecting clocks, vintage model cars, and beer mugs, and will be remembered as a talented carpenter and wood worker. He is survived by his wife, Doris Jacoby Gruentzel Moss, Little Chute; three children: Ronald Moss, Appleton; Sandra (Charles) Nigl, Oshkosh; and Barbara (Terry) Vanden Bosch, Kewaunee; five grandchildren: Mason Moss, Kristine Nigl, Katherine Nigl, James Nigl, and Kelly Vanden Bosch. Ron is also survived by Doris's children: Richard (Patricia) Jacoby, Lake Mary, Florida; Veronica Van Susteren, Dallas, Texas; Pamela Jacoby, Appleton; and Nancy (Ronald) Ostrowski, Shawano; and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Joan, a sister, and five brothers. The funeral liturgy for Ron will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2006, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Charles Brooks officiating. Military rites will follow the mass. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Lloyd retired from the Combined Locks Papermill. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Mary Church and the Kaukauna VFW Post 3319.

    He is survived by his wife of 3 ½ years, Shirley, Kaukauna; his children: Mary Baeten, Barbara (Gary) Doering, Kathleen Baeten and Robert (Lana) Baeten; 3 grandchildren: Allen (Korin) Doering, Brian (Charlene) Doering and Amanda Baeten; 1 great-grandchild and 2 on the way; 2 brothers: William (Patricia) and Daniel (Mary); 2 sisters: Shirley Hurst and Grace (Jerry) Pennings; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Lloyd is further survived by his wife's 4 children: Jim Kalies, Sue (Tim) Anhalt, Barbara (Steve) Hoefner and Andrea (Charlie) Honkanen; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, 3 brothers-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law.

    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan, a brother, Robert, a stepdaughter, Ann Schueller, 2 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.

    Memorial services for Lloyd will be a 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Mary Church, 119 West Seventh St., Kaukauna with Fr. Carl Meulemans officiating and Deacon Steve Vande Hey assisting. Friends may call directly at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.     Baeten, Joan K. "Pinky"


    Joan Baeten, 72, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at the St. Paul Home. She was born on September 25, 1936, in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late Robert and Anita (Vander Heyden) Vanden Heuvel, Sr. On November 19, 1955, she married Lloyd Baeten at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Joan was a member of St. Katharine Drexel - St. Mary's. Over the years Pinky taught piano to over 25 students. Many will recall her excellent waitress abilities at the Moasis. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, and reading.

    Pinky is survived by her loving husband of 53 years: Lloyd Baeten; four children: Mary Baeten, Kaukauna; Barbara (Gary) Doering, Darboy; Kathleen Baeten, Kaukauna and Robert (Lana) Baeten, Greensboro, NC; 3 grandchildren: Allen Doering, Appleton; Brian (fiancee Char Heusner) and Amana Baeten, Greensboro, NC; great-grandson: Devin; and her brother: Robert (Karen) Vanden Heuvel, Kaukauna. She is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Joan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol (Hank) Vander Heyden.

    The funeral liturgy for Pinky will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2009, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL - ST. MARY SITE, 119 W. Seventh Street, Kaukauna. Father Jerry Pastors will be officiating. The visitation will take place on Sunday at Fargo Funeral Home from 2 -5 p.m., with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m., and again at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Kaukauna.

    Special thanks to Dr. Travis Kroner at Primary Care Associates in Appleton and his nurse Carol for their care and compassion. Also, the St. Paul Home, especially the Poppy Patch and Appletree Court staff, your excellent care and concern gave Pinky dignity in her final months.
