She also enjoyed spending time wi th her family, especially her grandchildren. Anna was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. Anna is survived by her children: Thomas (Barbara) Lange, Appleton; John (Sue) Hricik, Johnson City, New York; Gerald (Delores) Lange, Appleton; Mar tin “Herb” Lange, Town of Freedom; Laura LeMere, New Britton, Connecticut; five grandchildren: Christopher Lange and fiancee Tanya, Terri Ann Lange, Kelly and Kevin LeMere, Sara Hricik; a great-grandchild, Brady; a brother and a sister: Frank “Amos” Boots; Theresa (Gordon) Schreurs; and a son- in-law, Ron LeMere.     Age 70, of Appleton, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Fox River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. Tom was born in Green Bay on March 2, 1943 to the late Martin and Anna (Boots) Lange Sr. Tom graduated at Freedom High School with the class of 1962. On December 5, 1970, he was united in marriage to Barb Ayers at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. The couple has enjoyed over 43 years together. Tom and Barb loved their annual trips to Hawaii for 32 years. They also volunteered for the Fox Cities Marathon. He was also an avid Packer fan. Tom was a member at St. Bernard Catholic Church where he was an usher.

    He is survived by his wife Barb, Appleton; 2 brothers: Gerald (Delores) Lange, Appleton and Martin "Herb" Lange, Town of Freedom; 2 sisters: Sue (John) Hricik, Johnson City, NY and Laura (special friend Bob) LeMere, New Britain, CT. He is further survived by nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother- and father-in-law Verda and Jack Ayers.

    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St. Appleton, with Father Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Thursday from 9 am until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established.

    The family would like to extent a special thank you to the staff in the ICU at St. Elizabeth Hospital - especially Diane, Jackie from Right at Home in Kimberly, and their special neighbors Patrick and Sarah for their kindness, care, and compassion.
  • Graduation: He graduated from Freedom High School in 1962.

    Boots, Franklin J. "Amos" Franklin J. "Amos" Boots, of Appleton, age 85, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Appleton Medical Center. Amos was born on June 2, 1921, in Little Chute to the late Antone and Elizabeth (Van Rooy) Boots. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during World War II. Upon completion of his military service, he returned to the area where he was united in marriage to Jeanette Mortensen, who preceded him in death. He retired from Kimberly-Clark/MidTech Paper.

    He was a member of the American Legion and Trinity Lutheran Church. Amos enjoyed fishing and golfing.

    He is survived by his son, Michael Boots, Indiana; granddaughter, Jessica Boots; special friend, Bonnie Bodway; brother-in-law Gordon Schreurs; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Red, Jim, Henry, Theresa, Katherine, and Ann.

    A memorial service for Amos will he held on Friday, December 15, 2006, at 11 a.m. at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 209 S. Allen St., with Revs. Kurt and Mary Beth Kovanen officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Schreurs, Gordon J. Gordon J. Schreurs, age 82, of Brewster Village, Appleton, WI, formerly of Little Chute, died Thursday, November 8, 2007, at Brewster Village. He was born March 14, 1925, to the late George and Eva (Gerrits) Schreurs in Wrightstown. Gordon married the former Theresa Boots on November 20, 1948, at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. He enlisted into the U.S. Army on July 10, 1943, and served until his honorable discharge on January 10, 1946. Gordon worked in the paper industry his entire life, retiring from Midtec in June of 1986.

    He was a longtime member of St. John Parish and the American Legion Jacob Coppus Post 258. Gordon loved card playing and most recently enjoyed bingo. He was a great outdoorsman, especially enjoying, fishing and hunting in his younger years.

    He is survived by his son, Daniel Schreurs; his three daughters: Donna (Larry) Blake and their daughter, Kandace; Mary Schreurs and Barbara Schreurs; his sister, Elizabeth (Leonard) Maufort; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Theresa; his infant daughter, Julie; two infant brothers, Clayton and Vincent; and an infant sister, Lois.

    The Mass of Christian Burial will be 5 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2007, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH, Little Chute with Rev. David Funk, OFM Cap. officiating. Friends will be received on Monday at Church from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Full military burial rights will be performed after Gordon's service by the American Legion Jacob Coppus post 258 of Little Chute. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.     The family would like to thank Melvin at Brewster Village for the friendship he shared with Dad and the staff at Brewster Village for the care and compassion they gave him during his time of need.

    Vyron Meulemans, 26, route 4, Appleton, died Saturday afternoon of injuries received that morning at the Thilmany Pulp and Paper company mill in Kaukauna.
    Meulemans was injured when the tow moter he was operating slid off a truck, pinning him to the ground. Meulemans was unloading rolls of paper from the truck, Outagamie County Coroner Bernard H. Kemps said.
    Gerald Smits, 809 Desnoyer street, Kaukauna, driver of the truck, said Meulemans' tow moter slid across the truck platform before anything could be done. The machine and Meulemans fell about four feet to the ground. The paper rolls weighed about 500 points each and the 5,800-pound tow motor had to be lifted off Meulemans with a hoist. Meulemans died about six hours after he was injured.
    Meulemans was born May 22, 1931, in Wrightstown.
    Funeral serviced will be at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute, with burial in the parish cemetery. The Wrightstown American Legion post will conduct military rites at the graveside. The rosary will be said at the Verkuilen Funeral home, Little Chute, at 8 o'clock tonight.
    He is survived by his widow and two sons, David and James, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Meulemans, Wrighstown; five brothers, Cary, Mary Knoll seminary, N. Y., and Roger, Darrel, Curtis and Dennis, all at home with their parents; two sisters, Noela and June, also at their parents' home;, and a grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Gloudemans, Little Chute.

    Funeral services were held at St. John's Little Chute for Brian Meulemans, 26, a worker at Thilmany pulp and Paper Company, who was fatally injured Saturday morning when the tow motor he was operating crashed through the side of a truck and fell over, pinning him. He was rushed to Kaukauna Community Hospital where he died about six hours after the accident. He had been employed at Thilmany for four years.

    Madison, Wis. AP -- The body of Curtis Meulemans, 23, who had been missing since Wednesday, was recovered Friday from Lake Mendota. An autopsy was ordered.
    Deputy Dane County Coroner Clyd Chamberlain, Jr., said that Meulemans had been under treatment by a physician for epilipsy.
    A native of Wrightstown and 1962 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Meulemans was employed by an accounting firm.
