    245 South Walnut Street Kimberly Age 69, passed away Friday, May 26, 2000, at his home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Ted was born in Kimberly on April 10, 1931, son of the late Theodore and Margaret (Lamers) Wachtendonk Sr. On May 5, 1954, he married the former Mildred Koenen in Combined Locks she survives. For over 40 years, Ted was employed by the Kimberly-Clark Corp. (now Inter Lake Papers) in Kimberly and retired in 1993. He served his country as a member of the William Verhagen Post 60 of the American Legion. While his health permitted, Ted was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Wachtendonk, Kimberly two daughters, Susan (William) Bady, Appleton Jo Ann (Tracy) Reinl, Appleton a son, David (Sue) Wachtendonk, Appleton four grandchildren, Paul and Maria Bady, Justin Wachtendonk, Mandy Wachtendonk and her fiance, Matt Hauser. Ted is further survived by three sisters, Martha, Dorothy and Josie and by two brothers, Bill and Ed. He was preceded in death by his parents brothers, Joseph and Art and a sister, Marion. The funeral liturgy for Ted will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, with Fr. Paul Vanden Hogan and Msgr. John Schuh concelebrating. According to Ted's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no visitation. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the services. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund in Ted's name. Due to the construction on Kimberly Avenue, access to the church can only be gained from the north, using Maes Avenue and Pine Street. Jansen Fargo Funeral Home 204 E.     James K. Dake, 90, King, Wis., passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wis. He was born Oct. 26, 1918, in New London, Wis., son of Adolph and Anna (Klug) Dake. James served in the U.S. Navy as a Warrant Machinist from Dec. 9, 1937 to Sept. 25, 1945. He was a survivor of Pearl Harbor where he was aboard the USS Solace, a hospital ship, on Dec. 7, 1941. On June 6, 1953, James married Celestia Timm in Appleton, Wis. She preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 2003. James was a retired dairy farmer in Greenleaf, Brown Co., Wis.
    James is survived by sons, Don (Judy) Dake, Appleton; Leroy (Sharon) Dake, Fond du Lac; James (Charlene) Van Hout, Appleton; Jesse (Burnie) Van Hout, Tucson, Ariz.; Daniel (Patti) Dake, Waupaca; John (Heidi) Dake, Amherst, Wis.; Larry Dake, Isle, Minn.; daughters, Susan (Dennis) Biese, Kimberly; Sally (Jerry) Getlinger, Waupaca; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Kaye Colburn, Oshkosh; sister-in-law, Lavilla (Robert) Lueck, Appleton; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Jane) Timm, Appleton; Marvin Timm, Neenah. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Anna Dake; wife, Celestia Dake; two younger brothers; brother, Robert Dake; and three sisters, Dorothy Clement, Cecily Capen and Lucille Pellinger.
    A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at the Main Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wis. Pastor Tom Getlinger will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Main Chapel on Tuesday. Military Honors will be performed following the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in the spring at Rural Cemetery in the Town of Dayton. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Age 80, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin. She was born May 21, 1922 in Black Creek, Wisconsin, daughter of Herman and Anna (Kluess) Timm. She married James K. Dake on June 6, 1953 in Appleton, Wisconsin.

    Celestia is survived by seven sons: Don (Judy) Dake, Neshkoro Leroy (Sharon) Dake, Fond du Lac James (Charlene) Van Hout, Hilbert Jesse (Burnie) Van Hout, Tucson, Arizona Daniel (Julie) Dake, Waupaca John (Heidi) Dake, Amherst Larry Dake two daughters, Susan (Dennis) Biese, Kimberly Sally (Jerry) Getlinger, Waupaca 26 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren two brothers, Raymond (Jane) Timm, Appleton Marvin Timm, Neenah one sister, LaVila (Robert) Lueck, Appleton sister-in-law, Leona Timm, Appleton.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Earl Timm and two infant brothers, a sister, Marcella Timm, and a sister-in-law, Millie Timm.

    A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 1420 Berlin Street, Waupaca. Reverend Robert J. Bohn will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church on Tuesday. Burial will take place in the spring at Rural Cemetery in the Township of Dayton. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Berg, Tom J. "Scratch" Thomas Berg, 66, Kaukauna, died on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, following a lengthy illness with his family at his side. He was born June 18, 1940, in Appleton, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Reardon) Berg. Tom graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1958. On April 15, 1961, he married Judy Goral at St. Joseph Church in Green Bay. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Tom enjoyed golfing, the Packers, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was employed at Thilmany for 40 years, retiring in 1998 as a paper mill supervisor. Tom loved being with family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

    Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Judy Berg; son, Joe Berg, Kimberly; three daughters, Lisa (Ed) Schmitt, Linda (Keith) Martin and Lori (Mark) Kersten, all of Kaukauna; ten grandchildren, Kerri (special friend, K.C. Reichel) Berg, Amy Berg, Cassy Berg, Kristi (Tim) Nickel, Jaimie (special friend, Justin Meulemans) Schmitt, Eric Schmitt, Alex Martin, Amanda, Tayler and Payton Kersten; two great-grandchildren, Mason Nickel and Brandyn Reichel; brother-in-law, Norm (Ceil) Goral, De Pere; and sister-in-law, Barb (John) Goral-Lardinois, Green Bay. He is further survived by many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Tom was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Agnes and Bill Goral; and brother-in-law, Arnie Goral.

    The funeral liturgy for Tom will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at 4:30 p.m. at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.

    Very special thanks to the visiting nurses and hospice who helped us prepare in such a kind and supporting way. Also, to Fr. Marty and Fr. Jack for their prayers and blessings to help guide him home. You are such special people. But most of all we want to express our gratitude to our mom, for her selflessness and love she has shown our dad. There are wings waiting for her in heaven.
