    Geroge T. Schommer

    George T. Schommer, 49, Freedom, died at 10 o'clock last night at his home after a lingering illness. He was born Sept. 20, 1887, at Freedom and lived there all his life. He was a member of the Holy Name and St. Theresa societies at St. Nicholas church, Freedom.

    Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Miss Geneva, Miss Lorraine and Miss Georgianna, Freedom; two sons, Florian and Russell, Freedom; four brothers, William, Chicago; John, Leo and Henry, Freedom; two sisters, Mrs. Bert Maynard, Milwaukee; Mrs. Karl Greiner, Freedom; one step-brother, Nick Liesch, Jr., Freedom; step-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Liesch, Freedom.

    Funeral services have been tentatively set at 9 o'clock Friday morning at St. Nicholas church with the Rev. A. W. VanDyke in charge. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Prayers services will be held at 8 o'clock Wednesday and Thursday nights at the home.

    Wells, Grace B. (Bachmann) Grace "Honey" Wells, Appleton, WI, found everlasting peace on September 16th, 2007. Grace was born in Little Chute, WI, to Clarence and Anna Bachmann. She was married to Jay Wells, an area musician, who passed away on April 22nd, 2007. She was the first woman department manager for Treasure Island, a subsidiary of J.C. Penney's. Grace represented Wisconsin as Ms. Senior Wisconsin at a Pageant in Reno, Nevada, in 1994. At Greenville Elementary she was known as the "Label Lady." She spent countless hours cutting and preparing the labels for the Campbells Soup rebate.

    She will be sadly missed by her loving son, Tony (Laurie) Wagner, Waupaca, WI; her step-daughter, Gail Johanek, Green Bay, WI; step-son, Jay Johanek, Lawton, OK; sister, Annmarie Gresens and nephew, Bob Gresens, Appleton, WI. Her happiest times were spent with her grandchildren: Lisa (Dave) Nickel, Menasha, WI; Kevin (Dora) Wagner, St. Paul, MN; Mara Wagner, New York, NY: and two great-grandchildren Will and Kyra Nickel. She is also survived by her step-granddaughter, Tavya (Shed) Morrow, Lawton, OK and her step great-grandson Syrus Morrow, Lawton, OK.

    Her parents and her brother Robert Bachmann preceded her in death.

    A Memorial Service to celebrate both the lives of Grace and her husband, Jay, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2007, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. Appleton, WI. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

  • Note: Allen M. Nennig, 85, St. Johns, Florida, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 25th, 2017, at Baptist South Hospital. He was born on August 6th, 1931, in Neenah, son of Zeno and Rosalie (Reininger) Nennig. Allen graduated from Neenah High School in 1949 and completed education for the electrician field. He was a U. S. Army veteran. He was united in marriage to Mildred Nennig (Williamson) on May 11, 1962 and she preceded him in death October 13, 1995. Allen worked as an electrician for the State of Wisconsin. He was also involved in politics, as an Alderman for the City of Appleton, and on the County Board of Supervisors. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jacksonville, Fl. When he wasn't working, Allen was always enthusiastic to lend a hand (or two) to anyone needing his help. Allen loved the outdoors, and in his leisure time, he would enjoy waterskiing, jet skiing, boating with his family on Lake Winnebago, snowmobiling and playing his piano. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and could easily make you smile with his quick wit and friendliness.

    Allen is survived by children: Lynn (Craig) Connor, granddaughters: Alexis and Shannon, Phoenix; Cindy (Bret) Mack, grandsons: Blake, Matthew, and Jacob, St. Johns, Fl; a sister: Eileen (Arden) Tews; sisters-in-law, Judy and Joann Nennig; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    Allen was also preceded in death by his parents: 3 brothers: Jerome, Lyle, and Jake.

    Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Clarence C. Williamson, 73, Neenah, passed away at his lake house Friday, Jan. 1, 20l0, surrounded by his loving family, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born April 22, 1936, in Appleton, son of the late Henry and Bertha (Foster) Williamson. He was formerly married to MaryEllen (Krolon) Williamson. Clarence was self-employed as a builder of custom homes, commercial and residential rentals.

    He is survived by a son, Jeff Williamson, Appleton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Julie Allcox, Corinth, Texas; Kathleen and Kurt Werner, Appleton; three grandchildren, Heather Allcox, Chad Allcox and Nicholas Allcox; two brothers, Norbert Williamson, Appleton; George Williamson, Kansas; four sisters, Bernice Maes, Kaukauna; Cecilia (Carl) Hojan, Tomahawk; Rose Hawley, Appleton; Mary Ann (Earl) Vande Hey, Darboy; former wife, MaryEllen Williamson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Pete and Henry; three sisters, Virginia Blair, Elizabeth Williamson and Mildred Nennig; and a son-in-law, Daniel Allcox.

    Services will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 20l0, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.

    Memorials may be directed to Appleton ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens).

    Frederick, Earl J. Earl J. Frederick, of Appleton, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. He was born in Appleton on February 18, 1924, the son of John and Clara (Dalkle) Frederick. On December 31, 1945 he married Marie Voster. She preceded him in death on August 12, 1985.

    He is survived by four children: Don (Sandy) Frederick, Glen Peters, Eunice (Edwin) Ellefson, and Nancy (Robert) VanLandghen, a sister, Beatrice (Herbert) Bastian, ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three nephews and their families.

    Earl was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marie Voster Peters Frederick.

    Per Earl’s wishes, private family services will be held.
