    Age 75, died Thursday, June 27, 1985 at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. He was born September 30, 1909 at Sherwood, and had lived and worked in Calumet County all of his life where he was engaged in farming, operating a slaughter house, and had been a field man for the Dundas Canning Co. for many years.

    Surviviors include four daughters; Mrs. Harold [Gloria] Lauer, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Gene [Phyllis] Blank, Marshall; Mrs. Robert [Lois] Wolf, Kiel; Mrs. David [Ila] Manderscheid, Brillion; a brother, Daniel Hopfensperger, Appleton; three sisters; Mrs. Catherine Vanderlinden and Caroline Wiedenhaupt, both of Appleton; Marie Seidling, Wild Rose; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Elvera in 1983, and three brothers, Andrew, Herman and George. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood with the Rev. Ken Frozena officiating. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Woodville. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and on Saturday morning until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Albert Hopfensperger, 70 W 3176 Schmidt Rd. Rt. 1, Brillion died Wednesday morning, March 23, at the Chilton Village Nursing Home. The former Elvera Dexheimer was born February 19, 1913 in Sherwood and lived in the area all of her life. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Woodville.

    Survivors include her husband, Albert; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Gloria) Lauer of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Gene (Phyllis) Blank of Marshall, Wi., Mrs. Robert (Lois) Wolf of Kiel, and Mrs. David (Ila) Manderscheid of Rt. 1, Brillion, a brother,Tony Dexheimer of Brillion; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

    The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Woodville, with the Pastor Mark Neitzel officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.     Age 58, died Wednesday, October 20, 1993 at Kaukauna Community Hospital following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 13, 1935 in Wrightstown, the daughter of the late Albert and Elvera [Dexheimer] Hopfensperger. Ila worked as a machinist at Tecumseh Products Company in New Holstein for 26 years. Ila enjoyed gardening and bowling, raising horses and caring for her special pet dog, Charlie. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and her one great grandchild. She was one of the original founding members of the Calumet Riding Club.

    She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David J. Mandersheid; two sons; David L. 'Butch' Manderscheid Jr., and his fiance, Sandy Webb, Baltimore, Maryland; Gary L. Mandersheid, at home; two daughters and sons in-law, Carmen P. and Tybes Brandenburg, Sherwood; Donna M. and VBince Nettekoven, Kaukauna; four grandchildren; Brett Brandenburg, Angela Brandenburg, Jeremy and Ashley Nettekoven; a great grandchild, Tyler Brandenburg; three sisters and brothers in-law; Gloria and Harold Lauer, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; Phyllis and Gene Blank, Marshall, Wisconsin. She is further survived by her husbands family; her mother in-law, Marie Schaefer, another sister in-law, Joan Meyer, all of Hilbert and numerous nieces and nephews.

    The funeral services will be at 12 noon on Saturday at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Woodville with Pastor Mark Neitzel officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Brothertown. Friends may call at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Woodville from 10 a.m. on Saturday until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

    Age 66, died Sunday afternoon May 1, 1994 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, Sheboygan after a lengthy illness. He was born January 27, 1928 in the Town of Woodville, son of the late Herbert and Lillian Schultz Wolf. He graduated from St. Mary High School in Menasha. On October 7, 1952 he married the former Lois Hopfensperger at St. John Catholic Church, St. John. He was a meat inspector for the State of Wisconsin for approximately 15 years, president of Wolf Realty Co. Inc., Kiel for about 10 years and also the leader of the Bob Wolf Orchestra, Sherwood for about eight years. He was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.

    Survivors include his wife, Lois; three sons, Conrad [Carol, Elkhart Lake; Michael [Chris] Apple Valley, Minnesota; James [Patty], New Holstein; a daughter, Patricia [Robert] Kind, New Holstein; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Betty [Robert] Steffes, Sherwood.

    Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 1994 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel with the Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. officiating, preceded by brief family rites at 10 a.m. at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday evening and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of service. A wake service will be held at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

He was born August 8, 1934 in Appleton, the son of the late Vern and Iva (Kiesner) Manderscheid. David married Ila Mae Hopfensperger on August 8, 1952 in Chilton. She preceded him in death on October 20, 1993. He enjoyed spending time with family and loved their family gatherings. Dave was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Woodville. He also enjoyed farming and his trucking business. David is survived by four children: Carmen (Glenn) Brandenburg and their children Brett (Lisa Vanderloop) Brandenburg and Angela (Jeremy Grenzer) Brandenburg; David Jr. “Butch” (fiancé Jen Terrey) Manderscheid and his daughter Taylor; Donna (Vince) Nettekoven and their children Jeremy (Beth Vatland) Nettekoven and Ashley (best friend Kim Godfroy) Nettekoven; Gary (Julie Drinkwine) Manderscheid and their son Michael; his special great grandson, Tyler Branenburg; sisters: Marie Schaefer and Joan (Stanley) Meyer; sisters-in-law: Gloria (Harold) Lauer, Phyllis (Gene) Blank and Lois Wolf. He is further survived by many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The Christian Funeral for David will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, September 29, 2005 at ST. JOHN EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N9125 Military Rd., Woodville with Rev. Paul Fanning officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery, Brothertown. Visitation will be at the Fargo Funeral Home Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Thursday at the Church from 8:30 – 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.     Age 89, passed away on February 2, 2001. Caroline was born on March 1, 1911 in Sherwood, WI. She worked for Tuttle Press for 27 years and then retired in 1972. Caroline was a member of the Golden Age Club of Appleton, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Caroline loved to go for long car rides, visiting with her friends at Oneida Heights, and most of all spending time with her family. Caroline is survived by one son, Wayne (Janice) Wiedenhaupt; three grandsons, Marvin (Janice), David (Tina), and Mark (Lynda) Wiedenhaupt; six great grandchildren, Lori, Craig, Amber, Kari, Lisa, and Joshua Wiedenhaupt; and one sister Marie Siedling and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Hopfensperger; five brothers, George, Herman, Andrew, Daniel, and Albert; and one sister Katherine Vander Linden. The funeral liturgy will be on Tuesday February 6, 2001 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH (410 West Lawrence Street) at 4:00 p.m. with Fr. Michael K. O’Rourke officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. until the time of service (4:00 p.m.).     Age 91, died peacefully on Sunday morning, July 27, 2003 at the Juliette Manor Nursing Home of Berlin.
    Marie was born May 24, 1912 in Sherwood, Calumet County, WI; the daughter of John and Mary (Probst) Hopfensperger. She married Leonard J. Seidling on June 12, 1929 in Sherwood, WI and he preceded her in death in 1961. While growing up she farmed in the Sherwood area with her parents, then after marriage she and her husband moved to the Pine River and Poy Sippi area to farm in 1938, then in 1953 moved to the Big Island area and Marie worked as a stitcher for the Sand Knit Corp of Berlin for 21 years up until her retirement in 1975 and lived with her daughter since then, until she became a resident of the Juliette Manor. She is a faithful member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin and the Ladies Sodality of the parish.

    Marie is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane (Donald) Disterhaft, Berlin; son, Victor (Carol) Seidling, Neshkoro; also a daughter-in-law, Jean Seidling, Cheyenne, Wyoming; also 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchilden; two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons: George, John and Leonard; two sisters, five brothers and two grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church of Berlin with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Downtown Berlin on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. before we leave for the services at the church. A parish rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

    Magdelene F. Hopfensperger 'Sis' Menasha

    Age 90, died on Monday, July 2, 2001, at Century Oaks. She was born in Kimberly on September 29, 1910, to the late Frederich and Mary (Verstegen) Van Haelst. Sis was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

    She is survived by her son, Herman "Bob" (Lynn Anderson) Hopfensperger, Neenah; grandchildren, Kevin Hopfensperger, Kelly Schalske, Kurt (Heather) Hopfensperger; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Trevor and Logan; other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Harry" Hopfensperger, on February 16, 1987; a twin brother, Pete; brothers, John, Hank and Charlie; sisters, Hattie, Anne and Regina.
    The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, July 5, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, with Father Robert Karuhn officiating.
