    Baisden, Lowell D. Lowell D. Baisden, age 78, of Appleton, died peacefully at home Tuesday, April 4, 2006. He was born to the late W. Earl and Valborg (Stockland) Baisden April 9, 1927, in St. Paul, MN. Lowell was a U. S. Navy veteran serving with the Amphibious Fleet in World War II. He was a life long painter and owned and operated Baisden Painting and Decorating Company for 30 years. Lowell was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a life member of the USS LSM-LSMR Association and Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. Lowell was an avid sportsman who enjoyed the Northwoods of Wisconsin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Fern (nee Dittman) Baisden. Loving father of Michael (Ellen), Patrick (Jean), Keith (Terri), Paula (Jim) Koppelman, and Joel (Amy). Proud grandpa of Stephen, Katherine, Peter, Matthew, Robbie, Tom, Michael and Jacob. Brother of Ken, Norma and Orrin. He was preceded in death by his brother Eugene and sister Elaine. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 7, 2006, at 5:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence St., with Father Larry Abler officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, followed by the mass at 5 p.m. at church. The family would like to thank ThedaCare at Home hospice program.   • Note: Fern M. Baisden, age 86, of Appleton, died peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2015 after a short illness. She was born on October 5, 1928 in Green Bay, to the late Paul and Mildred (Boortz) Dittman. On October 27, 1951 Fern married Lowell D. Baisden at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. They celebrated 54 years together before his passing on April 4, 2006. Fern was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was the cofounder of Baisden Painting and Decorating Company. In her later years, Fern was an avid polka dancer. Her family meant the world to her. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and an awesome grandmother.

    Fern is survived by her loving children: Dr. Michael (Ellen), Patrick (Jean), Keith (Terri), Paula (Jim) Koppelman, and Dr. Joel (Amy) Baisden; dear grandchildren: Stephen (Sara) Baisden and Katherine Baisden; Peter and Matthew Baisden; Robbie, Tom, and Michael Koppelman; and Jacob Baisden.

    The funeral liturgy for Fern will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence Street in Appleton. Fr. Jim Leary, O.F.M. Cap will be officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday at the Wichmann Funeral Home downtown chapel from 4:00 pm until the prayer service at 7:00 pm and again at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the St. Joseph Food Pantry in Appleton or the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.

    Scanlan, both at home; a sister,

    grandparent: Norbert Gloudemans,
    Guadalajara, Mexico, formerly of Appleton.
    He is further survived by
    many aunts, uncles, great-aunts and
    great-uncles, many other relatives
    and friends. Memorial mass will be
    held on Wednesday, September 21,
    1988, at 5 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic
    Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton,
    with the Rev. William Kuhr
    officiating. Interment will be in St.
    Joseph Catholic Ceqtetery. Friends
    may call at the St. Joseph Cemetery
    Chapel only on Wednesday, from 3:30
    p.m. to 4 p.m. A memorial fund is
    being established in Kevin's name.
