    Age 89, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 1998 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born February 26, 1908 in the Town of Ozborn, son of the late Antone and Theresa [Schroth] Plutz. Lester was chartered member of St. Pius Catholic Church. He enjoyed wood working, spending time in his impressive rose garden and playing the violin. Lester retired from Consolidated Paper, Interlake Mill after 36 years of dedicated service.

    Survivors include three children, Blanche C. [Eugene] Van Oudenhoven, Neenah; Lester C. [Mary Pat] Plutz, Bristol, Wisconsin; Mary E. [Larry] Keen, Appleton; 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild; a brother, Earl Plutz, Jolliet, Illinois; two brothers in-law, Joseph Boyea, Milwaukee, John Van Rooy, Kaukauna; two sisters in-law, Alice Kohl, Appleton; Marie Plutz, Waupaca; and a God son, Father Stanley Plutz; numerous nieces and nephews.

    Other than his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Catherine [Kohl]; second wife, Catherine Marie [Thyssen]; and third wife, Louise [Faevel]; a son, Joseph Plutz; three brothers, Raymond, Allphonse, and Sylvan Plutz; four sisters, Doris, Irene, Elsie and Mildred; and a great granddaughter, Tasha Marie Keen.

    The funeral liturgy will be Saturday, February 21, 1998 at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Father David Funk OFM Cap. officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a 7:30 p.m. service on Friday.

    She was preceded in death bv
    her husband, Nicholas; a sister, Helen
    Welhouse; and three brothers, Harry,
    Jerome, and Joe. The complete funeral
    will be Thursday, January 1, at 2 p.m. at
    St. Thomas More Catholic Church with
    the Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Interment
    will be in St John Cemetery in
    Little Chute. Fnends may call at the
    Brettschneider-Trettin Funeral Home
    after 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday
    from 8 a.m. until the cortege leaves for
    the church. A prayer service will be held
    at 8 p.m Wednesday evening at the funeral
    home.

    Age 86, died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 1996 following a short illness. She was born April 10, 1909 in Appleton where she was a resident all of her life. Eleanor was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, the Golden Agers where she enjoyed playing cards, the Order of St. Francis and a former member of the VFW Auxiliary.

    She is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Carol and Frank Lichtfuss, Appleton; a son and daughter in-law, James and Bernice Thyssen, Appleton; nine grandchildren, Gary [Debbie] Thyssen, Teri [Dan] Laux, Randy [Lori] Thyssen, Sandra Thyssen, William [Sue] Lichtfuss, Frank Jr. [Gloria] Lichtfuss, John Lichtfuss, Sharon [Mike] Baumstart, Tony [Amy] Lichtfuss; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Harold Tilly, Appleton.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Thyssen on March 29, 1980; a great grandson, Aaron James Lichfuss; her parents, Fred and Catherine [Tillman] Tilly; three brothers and three sisters.

    The Mass of Resurrection for Eleanor will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 1996 at St. Thomas More, Appleton with Father Gerald R. Falk officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. A prayer and scripture service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial fund is being established.
