    Formerly of Kimberly, age 87, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at the St. Pa ul Home, Kaukauna. He was born February 13, 1914, in Little Chute, s on of the late Antone and Elizabeth (Van Roy) Boots. On October 15, 193 5, Henry married the former Elizabeth Hartjes at St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks. The couple enjoyed 60 years of marriage together pri or to her death on November 2, 1995. Henry was employed at the Kimberly-Cl ark Mill in Kimberly, retiring in 1964. He enjoyed woodworking and home building and remodeling. Henry sold Christmas tress to area residents for 25 years. Henry was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly, wh ere he had served as head usher for several years, was a past member of t he Holy Name Society and also served as a past member of the Planning Comm ission for the present church. He was also a member of the Golden Agers.
    Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Carol) Boots, Kimberly; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane (Stephen) Smits, Combined Locks; ni ne grandchildren, Mary (Ralph) Van Nuland, Dr. James R. (Joan) Boots, Marg ery (Jay) Blondin, Dr. William J. (Emilie) Boots, Judy (Steve) Becker, Den nis (Carol) Smits, Thomas (Linda) Smits, Timothy (Patty) Smits, Sally (Jo e) Stiehl; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank "Amos" Boots, Appleto n; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ann Lange, Freedom; Theresa (Gordon) Schreurs, Little Chute; numerous nieces and nephews. Henry is further s urvived by his wife's family, Edward (Marie) Hartjes, Julius Hartjes, Ire ne Dupont, Margaret Grissman, Helen Mertens, Lucina (Larry) Jandrey, Rosea na (Ed) Cwick, Marilyn Hartjes, Edna Hartjes. He was preceded in dea th by his wife; two brothers and a sister-in-law, George "Red" (Marion) Bo ots, James "Tiny" Boots; a sister and two brothers-in-law, Katherine (Bob) Martzahl and Martin Lange.
    Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ki mberly, with Fr. Bob Vandenberg officiating. Burial in the parish cemeter y. Friends may call directly at the church from 3 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been establis hed in his name. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisti ng the family.

  • Note: Bob Boots, age 73, found peace late Monday evening, September 6, 2010, at his home in Kimberly. Bob was born in Kimberly on June 25, 1937, son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Hartjes) Boots. Following his graduation from Kimberly High School, he spent time in the Army, and on June 25, 1957, married the former Carol Vande Hey at Holy Name Church in Kimberly. For over thirty years, Bob was employed by Wisconsin Wire Works in Appleton in a variety of positions. After working there, he set out on his own, and founded Boots & Company in Kimberly, and established Sunset Estates Condominiums. Many will remember Bob for his love of sports, especially baseball and his involvement with Kimberly's youth baseball program. He coached many youngsters over the years in Little League and Pony League, and continued to mentor young athletes until his final day. He also started the basketball program at Westside Elementary and coached there for a time as well. In addition to being a sports enthusiast, Bob enjoyed his cottage on Lake Poygan and spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Bob was a generous man, who was always willing to share his skills by helping family and friends with various construction and remodeling projects.

    He is survived by his wife: Carol Boots of Kimberly; five children: Mary (Ralph) Van Nuland of Kimberly; Dr. James "Jim" (Joan) Boots of Combined Locks; Margery (Jay) Blondin of Combined Locks; Dr. William "Bill" (Emilie) Boots of Combined Locks; and Judy (Steve Becker) Boots-Becker of De Pere; thirteen grandchildren: Ellen Christie, Rebecca Van Nuland, Jacob Van Nuland, Matthew Boots, Eric Boots, Kevin Boots, Kimberly Boots, Thomas Blondin, Joshua Blondin, Elizabeth Boots, Jennifer Boots, Benjamin Boots, and Luke Becker. Bob is also survived by a sister: Diane (Stephen) Smits of Combined Locks; a sister-in-law: Barbara Vande Hey of Kimberly; and two brothers-in-law: John "Jack" (Marian) Vande Hey of Greenleaf and Robert Bolwerk of Combined Locks. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law Helen Bolwerk and a brother-in-law Ronald Vande Hey.

    The funeral liturgy for Bob will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, September 10, 2010, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and again at the church on Friday morning from 10 p.m. until the hour of the service. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

  • Note: William F. Dupont "Bill" 132 S. Birch Street Kimberly Age 92, passed away Friday, June 18, 1999, at his home. Bill was born May 6, 1907, in Rotterdam, Holland, son of the late Henry and Anna (Fol) Dupont. In 1910, he moved with his family to Butler, Minnesota, and some years later to Kimberly. On September 7, 1933, he married the former Irene Hartjes in Combined Locks she survives. For over 46 years, Bill worked as a supervisor at the Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Kimberly and was a member of the Quarter Century Club there. Bill was a member of Holy Name Parish, the Kimberly Golden Agers, the National Management Association, and the Kimberly-Clark Atlas Management Club. Bill is survived by his wife, Irene Dupont of Kimberly two daughters, Charlotte Gossens of Darboy and Marlene (Bill) Cory of Mequon a son, David (Ann) Dupont of Neenah nine grandchildren, Gregg (Laurie) Gossens, Steve (Kathy) Gossens, Beth (Dan) Sprister, Ellen (David) Mucha, Julie (Mark) Polzin, David (Margaret) Cory, Patrick (Anne) Cory, Doug Dupont, and Todd Dupont and 12 great-grandchildren. Further survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents by an infant daughter, Mary by brothers, Henry, Herman, Rev. Ferdinand, John, Joseph, and Matthew and by a son-in-law, Frank Gossens. The funeral liturgy for Bill will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 1999, at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly, with the Rev. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday directly at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. The family has established a memorial fund in Bill's name. Bill will be remembered by all as a caring, gentle, and unselfish man who always put those he loved before himself. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Janice then married Irvin "Skip" Guernsey. Janice enjoyed working on the family hobby farm, spending time with her grandchildren taking them camping, and gardening. She spent her life raising horses and loved horses so much.

    Janice is survived by her husband, Irvin "Skip" Guernsey; mother, Helen Mertens; son, Jeff (Lisa) Dorschner; grandchildren, Raine, Kayla, Ashanti, Ezra, Katie and Erin Dorschner and Niki (Tim) Eickholt; great-grandson, Anthony Miller III and sister-in-law, Janet (Mike) Arndt. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

    Janice is preceded in death by her father, Francis Carl; husband Ronald Dorschner; son, Mark Dorschner; infant daughter, René Dorschner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Ida Guernsey and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Beatrice and Irving Guernsey.

    The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (105 N. Olk St.) Hortonville. Msgn James Feely and Parish Director Greg Layton will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
