    Carl J. Buchinger age 63, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 24. 1999, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1935 in Kaukauna, son of the late Michael Sr. and Margaret (Jaeckels) Buchinger. On October 15, 1962, Carl married the former Marion Hopfensperger, she preceded him in death Jan. 11, 1997. This past November 12, Carl married Joyce Mischler at St. Francis Catholic Church, Hollandtown. He was a long time member of St. Francis as well as sexton of the parish cemetery, and served on the St. Francis board of Education. Carl was a member of Hollandtown Athletic Ass. and avid volunteer at the park. He was also a volunteer at St. Vincent So. Carl loved spending time with his family, gardening. and playing cards. He retired from Thilmany Pulp & Paper in July, 1997, having worked for 35 years. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Mischler Buchinger, Kaukauna; six sons and six daughters in-law, Robert and Melody buchinger, Hollandtown; Joseph and Jayne Buchinger, Greencille; Ron and Amy Buchinger, Darboy; Carl and Christina Buchinger, Green Bay; Al and Penny Buchinger, Kaukauna; Ray and Judy Buchinger, Kaukauna; four step sons and four step daughters, Jim and Vicky Mischler, Appleton; Peter L. and Julie Mischler, Rockton, Illinois; Mark Mischler, Kaukauna; Anne and Bill Clausnitzer, Hortonville; Sara and Terry Tess, Combined Locks; Marla Robinson, Milwaukee; and Jennifer and Jeff Mau, Kaukauna; ten grandchildren; Julianne and Jack' Erik and Adam' Alex, reid and Samuel; Derek, Bryce and Brent; and expecting two more; twelve step grandchildren, Joanna, Bethany, Amelia and Shane; Derek and Devon; Amanda; Nicholas and Nathan; Matthew and Andrea and Jackson; three brothers, Leo and Rita Buchinger; Mark and Dorothy Buchinger; Paul Buchinger; three sisters, Catherine and Louis Seegers; Mary Margaret and Bud Schmidt; Barbara and Norb Horn; and a special friend Roy Blies.
    Other than his parents and first wife Marion, Carl was preceded in death by brothers, John, Richard, Michael, Edmund; and a sister, Anna Buchinger. The funeral liturgery was held on Thursday May 27, 1999 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Hollantown with Father Stan Browne officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.   • Note: Sr. M. Leone (Dorothy) Weyenberg, age 94, entered Eternal Life peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Franciscan Woods nursing home in Brookfield, WI. Sr. M. Leone was born in Kimberly, WI. on June 6, 1917, daughter of Martin and Hattie (Verbeten) Weyenberg. Her mother died in 1918 and her father remarried Nellie Maas in 1920. She eventually became the big sister of seven siblings. She graduated Valedictorian of her Kimberly High School class. After working as a nurses aide at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI she entered the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters Community on April 19, 1940.

    Sr. M. Leone graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Racine, WI. Her most challenging years there were during the polio epidemic of the 1950's. She also served at Cardinal Ritter Institute and St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis and at St. Michael's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

    Sister semi-retired to St. Joseph Hospital, Milwaukee in 1985 and became sacristan of the chapel until 1999 when she fully retired to the Wheaton Sisters Motherhouse in Wheaton, IL. Sister M. Leone celebrated her 70th Jubilee as a Religious in May 2010.

    She is survived by her family of Wheaton Community sisters and her siblings. Sister, Lois Nollenberg, Shiocton, WI., brothers, Russell (Evelyn) Seymour, TX. and Donald (Betty) New London, WI. Sister-in-law Marilynn Weyenberg, Appleton, WI. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Bernice, Mary Ann (Emmett) Vandenberg, and LaVerne (Clarence) Huisman, brother Robert Weyenberg, sister-in-law Bea Weyenberg and brother-in-law Donald Nollenberg.

    A prayer service will be held at 4pm on Monday, February 27 followed by a wake kept by the sisters until 10:00am Tuesday. The funeral mass of Christian burial celebrating her life will be at 10:00am Tuesday February 28, 2012 in Our Lady of the Angels chapel at the Wheaton Sisters Motherhouse, Wheaton, IL. with Fr. Borkowski officiating. Private interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Winfield, IL.

    Age 88, died at 1 p.m. Sunday May 25, 1986. Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was dearly loved in life and will be greatly missed. She was born May 17, 1898. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Society, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Little Chute Golden Agers.

    Survivors include three daughters and two sons in-law; Sister Leone Weyenberg, Milwaukee; Mary Ann and Emmitt Vandenberg, Little Chute; Lois and Donald Nollenberg, Shiocton; three sons and daughters in-law; Robert and Marilyn Weyenberg, Appleton; Russell and Bea Weyenberg, North Hollywood, California; Donald and Betty Weyenberg, Kimberly; two sisters; Mrs. Delia Van Asten, Little Chute; Mrs. Mary Arnoldussen, Seymour; a sister in-law, Mrs. Christina Kessler, Kaukauna; brother in-law, George Vanden Heuvel, Little Chute; an aunt, Elizabeth De Bruin, Little Chute; 17 grandchildren, six step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews and many good friends.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin 'Zeke' in 1977, two daughters; Bernice and LaVerne; two sisters; Mrs. Gertrude Vehoven, and Mrs. Jose Kamps.

    A concelebrated mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Paul Radetski, Rev. Thomas Peters, and Rev. Ambrose Peters officiating at the St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of services. There will be a St. Elizabeth Society and Golden Agers rosary at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial fund will be established.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and mother of his children, Mary (Dee) Weyenberg, sisters: Sister Leone (Dorothy) Weyenberg; Mary Ann (Emmett) Vandenberg; LaVerne (Clarence) Huisman; brother, Robert Weyenberg and brother-in-law, Donald Nollenberg.

    Age 92, of 503 W. Main St., Little Chute, passed away Sunday, March 8, 1987, following a month long illness, Born September 18, 1894, in Little Chute, Mr. Vanden Heuvel had lived in the area all of his life. He was an employee of Kimberly Clark Corp. prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute and the Kimberly Clark Quarter Century Club.

    Survivors include three daughters and four sons in-law, Jane and John Christensen of Neenah, Ruth and Norbert De Coster of Little Chute, Virginia and Eugene Welhouse of Kaukauna, and John Van Beek of Kimberly; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; and a daughter, Betty Van Beek.

    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute, with the Rev. Ambrose Peeters officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute assisted with the arrangements.

    Maurice A. Emperor

    Age 100, passed away Saturday, October 30, 1999 at St. Paul Home after a short illness. He was born October 7, 1899 in Kaukauna, son of the late Theodore and Catherine [Burkhart] Emperor and was a lifelong resident of Kaukauna. In 1926 Maurice married Regina Weyenberg of Appleton and a resided at Wilson Street for 61years. They celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 20, 1986, at the Paper Valley Hotel with family and friends. Regina preceded Maurice in death on June 20, 1993. Maurice worked of the C& NW Railroad until 1929 when the Machine Shops closed. A few years later he started with Thilmany Pulp and Paper, he was there for over 30 years where he served as superintendent of the Paper Bag Division. Maurice retired in 1962. He was a member of Thilmany Managment Club, Quarter Century Club, the Kaukauna Lions, Kaukauna Knights of Columbus [for 80 years] and the 4th Degree Knights of Appleton. He was also a member of Holy Cross Church for over 70 years.

    He will be sadly missed by his daughter and son in-law, Yvonne and Donald Gottschalk, Racine; and five grandchildren and their families, Donald Jr., [Judi] Gottschalk, Wauwatosa; Steven [Colleen] Gottschalk, Racine; Mary [Peter] Bacon, Pewaukee; Kevin [Mary Jo] Gottschalk, New Berlin; Robert [Heidi] Gottschalk, Elkhorn; also eleven [soon to be 12] great grandchildrn.

    Other than his parents and wife, Regina, Maurice was preceded in death by two brothes, Wilfred and Theodore Jr.

    The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 1999 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorials to St. Paul Home woud be appreciated.

    Mrs. Leo Weyenberg

    Age 77, of 1123 N. 18th St., Manitowoc, died at 2 p.m. Monday at home after an illness of one year.

    Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Mason-Weber Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls, and at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls, the Rev. Robert H. Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

    Mrs. Weyenberg was born Rose DeKelver February 29, 1884, at Green Bay, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Vincent DeKelver. She was married to Leo Weyenberg June 20, 1922, at Chippewa Falls, where they lived until 1941 when they moved to Manitowoc. While living at Manitowoc, Mrs. Weyenberg was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.

    She was also a gold star mother. Her son, Leo, was killed in action in 1943 at Normandy, France. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Mrs. Tom Dwyer, who died in 1957.

    Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Donald McDonall of Sheboygan and Mrs. Fred Reitmeyer of Manitowoc; a son, Vincent of Tucson, Arizona; a brother, Francis of Marinette; six sisters, Mrs. Ann Gibb and Lillian DeKelver of Manitowoc, Mrs. Charles Tallant of Kenwick, Washington, Mrs. Jack Coonan of St. Paul, Agnes DeKelver and Mrs. Gertrude Malone of Waterford, Racine County, and 19 grandchildren.

    Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Hom, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesdat, led by the Rev. E.A. Radey. The casket will then be moved to Mason-Weber Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls, where the body will lie in state after 3 p.m. Thursday and a Rosary will be recited at 8:30 Thursday.

    Age 95, passed away Monday, August 24, 1998 at Franciscan Care Center. He was born December 2, 1902 in Rudolph, Wis. son of the late Peter and Helen (Van Ert) Weyenberg. John was employed at Kimberly Clark Corp. Kimberly Mill for 46 years retiring in 1964. He was a avid billiard player and was involved in leagues in Kimberly and Little Chute. As a former resident of the Heritage in Appleton, John was noted for his billiard skills. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling.

    Suvivors include a son, Jack Weyenberg, Stockbridge; two daughters and sons in-law; Janice and Bob Olive, Tucson, Arizonia; Joan and Don Osterberg, Iron Mountain, Michigan; seven grandchildren; Pat (Greg) Kvale, Lynn (Carl) Hubert, Jeff Froze, John (Lisa) Froze, Barbara (Alex) Rodrigues, Joel Froze and Lynn Weyenberg; 13 great grandchildren; Peter Kvale, Laurel and Luise Hubert, Lea, Nick and Samatha Froze, Roberto, A.J., and Rachel Rodrigues, James and Jeb Froze, Jarid and Meranda Weyenberg; a great great grandson, Michael Froze; two brothers and four sisters in-law; Sylvester Weyenberg, Kimberly; Harold and Roseann Weyenberg, Neenah; Edith Weyenberg, Waukegan, Ill; Elaine Weyenberg, Kimberly; Ann Weyenberg, Kimberly; two sisters; Dorothy Fox, Kimberly and Agnes Dupont, Kimberly.

    He was preceded in death by his wife Bertha on October 5, 1993; three brothers; Royal, Louis and Ben Weyenberg; a daughter in-law, Mary Weyenberg and a great great grandson, Tyler Weyenberg.

    The funeral liturgy will be held at 5PM Wednesday, August 26, 1998 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 602 E. Kimberly Ave. Kimberly, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 4 PM until the time of service. Burial will be at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name would be appreciated.
