  • Note: Wesley F. Romenesko, Kaukauna, age 77, died Tuesday October 1, 2013 at his home. He was born in Little Chute on September 17, 1936 to the late Joseph and Barbara (Verkuilen) Romenesko. Wes married Agnes M. Bloch at Holy Cross Parish on June 20, 1959. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2002. Wes opened his barbershop in 1960 and only retired earlier this year.

    Wes is survived by his children: Michael (Kay), Kaukauna; Thomas (Vicki), Sauk City; Jennifer (Ken) Keeley, Cottage Grove; Jeffrey (Cindy), Pewaukee; and Paula Schink, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Megan (Michael) Faucett, Kelly and Michael Behling, Joe and Angie Romenesko, Nate (friend Julie) and Gabe (fiancé Brooks) Keeley, Elaine, Alex and Katie Romenesko, Kyle and Noah Schink; siblings: Bill, Betty (Matt) Hupfer, Maynard (Roseanne), Dan (Gerry), Pat (Roger) Hermsen and Gary (Adele); and brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul (Darlene) Bloch, Theresa (Hank) Wildenberg, Mary (Dan) Verstegen and Beth Grosnick. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to his parents and his wife, Agnes, Wes was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law John and Gertrude Bloch; and sister-in-law Celine Romenesko.

    Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4 at HOLY CROSS PARISH (309 Desnoyer St. Kaukauna) from 10:00 am until time of Mass at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Thomas Pomeroy will officiate. She was born August 29, 1937, to the late John and Gertrude (Kilishek) Bloch, in Kaukauna, where she was a resident most of her life. Agnes graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac, and had been employed by St. Paul Home. She enjoyed golfing, doing crafts, watching wild birds and helping with Meals on Wheels. Agnes was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Wesley F. Romenesko, to whom she had been married for 42 years; three sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Kay Romenesko, Kaukauna; Thomas and Vicki Romenesko, Sauk City; Jeffrey and Cindy Romenesko, Pewaukee; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer and Kenneth Keeley, Cottage Grove; Paula Schink, Kaukauna; 12 grandchildren: Megan Romenesko, Michael and Kelly Behling, Joseph and Angelica Romenesko, Nate and Gabe Keeley, Elaine, Alex and Katie Romenesko, Kyle and Noah Schink; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Darlene Bloch, Kaukauna; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Theresa and Hank Wildenberg, Kaukauna; Mary and Dan Verstegen, Little Chute; Beth Grosnick, Mesa, Arizona; her father-in-law, Joseph Romenesko; four brothrs-in-law: William (Celine) Romenesko, Darboy; Maynard (Rosanne) Romenesko, Combined Locks; Daniel (Gerry) Romenesko, Little Chute; Gary (Adele) Romenesko, Little Chute; two sisters-in-law: Betty (Matt) Hupfer, West Bend; Pat (Roger) Hermsen, New London; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Barbara Romenesko. The funeral liturgy for Agnes will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2002, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street with Father Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 3:00 p.m. Monday until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
