    On May 28, 1952 he married Idabell E. Ambrosius at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. Together they farmed and raised their family. He enjoyed his farm papers and magazines. He always had a story to share. One of Mom and Dad's favorite things to do was to ride their Kabota to look over the years crops and travel through the woods hoping to see some wildlife. John loved feeding and identifying the variety of birds that visited his numerous feeders. John appreciated the little things, was content and respectful for the life he lived. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandkids and great-grandkids as they grew.

    John was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ledgeview. He will always be remembered for carrying a rosary in his bib overall pocket and saying his prayers for various intentions.

    Surviving John is his wife, Idabell and his children, Donald (friend Gloria), Mark (Ruth), Robert (Treve), Dorothy (Dennis) Cashman, Joseph (Carol), Raymond (Paula); one son-in-law, Kevin Sommerfeld; grandchildren, Nick, Brenda (Josh), Billy (Alee), Lindsey (Zane), Lacey, Beth, Todd (Hilary), Laura (Brett), Emily, Elizabeth and Johnny; great-grandchildren, Tommy, Ava, Zoey, Addyson, Izabell, and Bennett; sisters and brother, Rosemary Warpinski, Camilla (Cliff) Holl, Clayton Bildings. Also survived by his in-laws, Betty Ambrosius, Florence (William) Lancelle, George Ambrosius, Elizabeth Van Hoff and Bernard Ambrosius; other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret Sommerfeld; son, Kenneth; along with his parents; brother-in-law, Richard Warpinski; sister-in-law, Gladys Bildings; mother and father-in-law, George (Matilda) Ambrosius; in-laws, Theodore Ambrosius, Norbert Van Hoff, John (Hattie) Van Wychen and Doris Ambrosius.

    Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 8:30am to 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for John at 11:00am at the church with Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.     John W. Baumann, 84, of 239 S. Walnut street Kimberly, died at 12:05 a.m. today after a long illness. He was born July 15, 1875, in the town of Grand Chute, and operated a farm on route 2, Appleton, before retiring and moving to Kimberly.
    A solemn high mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic church, Kimberly, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Jansen Funeral home, Kimberly, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today and Tuesday.
    Survivors include the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Nick Fox, Kaukauna, Mrs. Ervin Stingle, Black Creek, Mrs. John Smits, Kimberly, Mrs. Clem Romenesko, route 2 , Appleton, Sister Mary Florian, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Leonard Tennie, route 2, Shiocton; six sons, Frank, route 2, Franksville, Victor, route 2, Black Creek, John, of Kimberly, Silverius, Neenah, and Cyril and Harold, both of route 2, Appleton; 83 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.

    Died

    Mr. Lambert Vanderheiden died at his home at David City, Jan. 1, 1910, after a long spell of sickness. The funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the David City Catholic Church, where a solemn requiem mass was held. The remains were laid to rest in the St. Francis Cemetery in Center Township.

    He was born at Uden, Holland, the 25th of March, 1842. At the age of seven years he moved to Hollandtown, Wis. with his parents. He was married to Henrietta Sanders at De Pere, Wis. in 1870. To this union twelve children were born, of whom there are ten still living, four girls and six boys. The children were all home for the funeral. He leaves a wife and ten children to mourn his loss. Pete of Center, Mrs. Mary Vandenberg of Center, Mrs. Anna VanErt of Center, Louis and Theodore of Humphrey, Henry and Joe of Elgin, Mrs. Rose Schaaf of Elgin, George and Henrietta, who are still living at home.

    He moved to Nebraska in 1873. He lived on the same farm until last spring when he retired and came to David City where he remained until his death. Those present from a distance were Mrs. Vanderheiden's two brothers, Martin and John Sanders of Ewing, and his sister, Mrs. Jacob Vandenberg from Spalding, Miss Anna Nelling from Little Chute, Wis., a niece of Mr. Vanderheiden's, W. J. Mahoney from Palmyra, Nebr., A. J. Schaaf of Elgin, and Mrs. J. A. Vanderheiden of Elgin.

Vic married the former Ruth Schmalz on June 28, 1936 in Kaukauna. The couple shared fifty-six years of marriage. He was employed by Giddings and Lewis for many years.

    Vic is survived by his children: Paul (Margaret) Nettekoven, Richard (Donna) Nettekoven, Thomas Mary Ann) Nettekoven, Daniel Nettekoven, and MaryLu (Dale) Busse; nine grandchildren: Carole Steward) Neff, Mark (Sue) Nettekoven, Gary Nettekoven, Bill Nettekoven, Jim Nettekoven, Tim Nettekoven, Jennifer Nettekoven, Cheri Wochinski, and Jamie Busse; two great-grandchildren: Kayla Neff and Jade Hammer; a sister: Irene Thelen; a sister-in-law: Loretta Nettekoven. He was preceded in death by two sons: David and Gerald, a grandson Chad, brothers Fred, Norbert, and Gordon; brothers-in-law Harold Jacobson and Frank Thelen; and a sister-in-law Onita Jacobson.

    The funeral liturgy will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2001 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. Seventh Street in Kaukauna with Fr. David Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service.

    Age 76, died unexpectedly Monday, June 7, 1993 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born May 2, 1917 in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Kastell) Schmalz. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Victor; four sons and daughters-in-law: Paul and Margaret Nettekoven, Richard and Donna Nettekoen, Thomas and Mary Ann Nettekoven, Daniel and Sue Nettekoven, all of Kaukauna; a daughter and son-in-law, Marylu and Dale Busse, kaukauna; ten granchildren: Carol (Steward) Neff, Gary and Mark Nettekoven; Bill and Jim Nettekoven; Tim Nettekoven,; jessica Larsen and Jennifer Nettekoven; Cheri Wochinski and Jamie Busse; a sister Onita Jacobson, Kaukauna and her husband's sister and spouse Irene and Frank Thelen, Kaukauna.     Richard "Whitey" Nettekoven, age 76, of Kaukauna, is no longer suffering and now at peace in Heaven with his sons. Richard passed at The Atrium of Little Chute. For the past few months he had been receiving care at both The Atrium and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center of Appleton.

    He was born on July 31, 1940 in Appleton. The son of Victor and Ruth (Schmalz) Nettekoven. Richard lived in Kaukauna all his life. Richard graduated from St. Mary's in 1954 and Kaukauna High School in 1958.

    On July 30, 1959 Richard married Donna Wiedenhaupt, together they were blessed with two sons in 1963 and 1964. Richard started work at Thilmany Pulp & Paper August 1, 1958. He worked his entire career on paper machinery. After forty-three years he retired as Machine Tender on Machine Number Twelve.

    His hobbies were fishing, golfing, boating, and playing cards with his friends in Dundas. After his retirement Richard enjoyed being outdoors and watching birds in his yard. He especially enjoyed watching the Packers and Badgers and never missed a good Western movie. Together Richard and Donna played their weekly card game and visited the casino. He was also a member of the Quarter Century Club.

    Richard is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years in marriage, Donna - his reason for living; his brother, Paul (Margaret) Nettekoven, Tom (Mary Ann) Nettekoven and Dan Nettekoven; his sister, Mary Lou (Dale) Busse and his sister-in-law, Karen (Tom) Van Deraa. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sons, William and James Nettekoven; his in-laws, Irvin and Mildred Wiedenhapt; grandparents, Ray and Ethel Schmalz, Selma Nettekovan and two infant brother, Gerald and David.

    The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday starting at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at Union Cemetery in Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Richard's name. Online condolences can be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

    The family would like to thank the staff at both The Atrium of Little Chute and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center of Appleton for the wonderful care given to Richard and his family.
