    Barlow, Raymond "Ray" C.
    Raymond "Ray" C. Barlow, 66, Appleton, passed away with his family at his side at Manor Care in Appleton, on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008. He was born in New London on Dec. 31, 1941, the son of Raymond and Eunice (Tellock) Barlow. He was proud to serve in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1961. Ray was active in Drum Corps, coached T-ball, baseball and little league. He was also active in the Boys and Girls Brigade including ARC in Neenah. Recently he was involved in the Boys and Girls Club of Appleton, was a board member of the Appleton Housing Authority, on the board of directors for Project Home, volunteer for the Outagamie Outreach Center and the Appleton Salvation Army, where he was on the board of directors. He was honored to have received the Janet Berry "Volunteer of the Year" Award for 2003.

    Ray is survived by his children, Kelly Weber, Jeff Schend, Heather (fiance, Alan Vestal) Barlow, Jon Barlow, and Sara (Matt) VandeCastle; grandchildren, Marty and Macey Kay; mother, Eunice Timmins; brothers and sisters, Norman Barlow, Karen Barlow, Terry Barlow, Lynn Timmins, Lori (special friend, Mike) Timmins-Chambers, and Tommy Timmins, Jr.; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jean Long-Manteufel.

    He is preceded in death by his fathers, Raymond John Barlow and Thomas Timmins, Sr.

    The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, with the Rev. Norm Krutzik officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.

    The family extends a special thank you to the caring staff at Manor Care Health Care Center.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Ray's name is being established.

    1938 Kaukauna Times dated 12/23/1938; Death Claimed Mrs. Anton Kons - Rites this morning at St. Joseph Church; Internment in Holy Cross Cemetery - Mrs. Anton Kons, 35, formerly Theresa Weber of Kaukauna, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Mathias Weber, Taylor St, died at St. Elisabeth Hospital Sunday evening. Survivors are her widower, her parents; six brothers, Nicholas, Edward, Charles, Herbert and Michael of Kaukauna and Louis of Appleton; and three sisters, Mrs. Carl Specht of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Joseph West and Mrs. Sylvester Van Schyndel of Appleton. Internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

  • Note: Kons, Anthony 1989 Appleton Post Crescent dated 6/18/1989; Anton (Tony) Kons, 1201 Garfield Ave. Little Chute - Formerly of Darboy, age 100, died at 5:45 p.m Friday June 16,1989. Tony was born on a farm in Darboy on November 22, 1888. He married Theresa Weber on May 22, 1923 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. The couple then moved to Appleton and 15 years later his wife died in childbirth. Tony worked as a water well driller and well equipment repairman. He moved from Appleton to Menasha, and resided on Second street for 16 years, before moving to the Hotel Menasha where he lived for seven years. Tony was a regular visitor to the Menasha Senior Citzen's Center enjoying meals and activities there. On October 12, 1988 he moved to Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. Tonys activities were dancing, bowling and bingo. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death, by his parents, Anton and Barbara (Siegert) Kons, his wife; Theresa in 1938, three brothers; John in 1962. Mike in 1963 and Jake, in 1954; four sisters: Elizabeth in 1931;Margaret in 1947, Matilda in 1945, Anne in 1962. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Holy Angels Catholic Church, Darboy with Rev: Elroy Reimer officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
