    Four Children Saved in Fire
Oconto - (AP) - A big brother and sister, only 12 and 13 years old, saved the lives of four smaller children last night as a fire leveled their two-story farm home near here in their parents' absense.
Quick thinking and fearlessness by Garth, 12, and Leora Delvaux, 13, was credited by officials with having saved the other children of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Delvaus.
Garth, asleep on the second floor of the frame house with his brothers, Ralph, 11, and Garry Lee, 2, was awakened by smoke. Flames roared out of the stairwell. Garth, undismayed, kicked and broke a window and jumped to the ground. Ralph, on his brother's directions, tossed Gary Lee through the broken pane into Garth's arms and then leaped himself.
Meanwhile, Leora and two smaller children, Jackie, 2, and Bonnie Jean, seven months, awoke downstairs. Leora seized the baby and ran outside to join the boys. Then someone discovered Jackie was missing. Leora dashed back into the burning building and carried him outdoors.
Neighbors were unable to extinguish the flames and the house burned to the ground.
The fire was the second to level a Delvaux dwelling. In 1911 a house occupied by Delvaux and his wife in DePere was also destroyed.
