He sawed one end of a timber the other end sawed by a fellow worker unknown to Romenesko, He was on the timber when about to fall, he jumped but not in the right direction, the timber fell on his stomach. He leaves a wife and child.

The rosary will be said at the Greenwood Funeral home, Kaukauna at 8:00 Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Friends May call at the funeral home after Wednesday noon.

  • Note: FELLER, JOHN 1910 Kaukauna Sun dated 11/24/1910; Funeral of John Feller John Feller died Friday afternoon at his home on the north side, of heart disease after a severe illness of several weeks though he has been unwell for over a year. Deceased was born in Prussia in 1856 came to the United States in 1875 with his father who settled in St. John's Calumet County. In 1888 he was married to Miss Theresa Romeneska at Freedom, since which he has been a resident here. He was a millwright at Patten's mill for sixteen years. Surviving are his wife and seven children Henry, Theodore, Harold, Mary, Anna, Della and Margaret. Deceased was a member of the St. Joseph's Society and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin both of which attended the funeral in a body. The funeral was held Monday morning from Holy Cross church. The following acted as pallbearers: Theodore Schmaltz, Nic Kuborn, Barney Schlude, W. Brauchek, Charles Veul and John Mitchka. Internment was made in Holy Cross cemetery. Relatives and friends from Green Bay, Freedom, Little Chute, Kingsville, texas and other places attended the funeral.

    1910 Kaukauna Times dated 11/25/1910; John Feller Dead - Has been resident of Kaukauna for past thirty years. John Feller, a resident of this city the past thirty years and a well known millwright died at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon November 18, at his home on Desnoyer street, after an illness in bed of a little over two months. He was born in Prussia, Germany and came to Kaukauna about the time the round-house was built in Ledyard where he has resided ever since. He was married 22 years ago to Theresa Romenesko, who with seven children survive. They are Henry, Mary, Anna, Margaret, Theodore, Della and Harold Feller. One child, John, is dead. Mr. Feller was a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and of St. Josephs Society and was also insured by the Fox River Health and Accident company. Among those who attended the obsequies were Peter Feller of Newberg, Mr. & Mrs Wallace Leppla and Miss Elisabeth Feller of Green Bay; Mr. & Mrs Walter Romenesko, Henry Romenesko, Mr. & Mrs Theodore Penning, Louis Verhagen, Miss Anna Green and Joseph Green of Freedom; Mr & Mrs Matthew Van Hoof and Mrs Albt. Hartjes of Little Chute. The funeral ceremonies which were largely attended by the relatives and friends of the deceased were held at Holy Cross church Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock by the Rev P.J. Lochman in charge. the pallbearers, selected from the Catholic Knights and St, Josephs society equally, were Theodore Schmalz, Nic. Koburn, John McMorow, Wenzel Brouchek, Barney Schlude and Charles Zeuhl.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Holy Cross Church with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo funeral home after 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening. Rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. She is survived by her husband, Frank, one daughter, Mrs. Lester P. Mr. Goetzman resided in Kaukauna all of his life. He was employed at Thilmany Paper Company as a papermaker and had retired in 1954. Mr. Goetzman was a member of the Quarter Century Club and Papermakers Union 147. He has been a member of the Holy Cross Church, Kaukauna, also a member of the Holy Name Society and an honorary member of th Knights of Columbus. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. L.P. (Virginia) Coenen, Detroit Mich, one son, Robert, Kaukauna; three brothers, Mark, Milwaukee; Peter, Cable; Henry , Beloit; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Ruppert, Milwaukee; Mrs. Gordon (Adeline) Ruppert, Mrs. Emma Welter, both of Cudahy; Mrs. Gordon (Josephine) Kitzmiller, Mrs. Elisabeth Bril, both of Kaukauna; 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

  • Note: Elvira Feller, age 95, passed away rather suddenly early Sunday morning, March 27, 2011. Elvira was born in Shiocton on July 10, 1915, daughter of the late Louis and Augusta (Buss) Conradt. She was a graduate of the Shiocton High School and Outagamie County Normal School. As a young woman, she taught school briefly until her marriage to Harold Feller on May 1, 1937. He preceded her in death in July of 1972. Elvira was a longtime and faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna, and while she was raising her family served as a member and past president of the Altar Society. She was also a member and past president of the Kaukauna Homemakers Club. After her husband's death, Elvira worked as a baker at the Kaukauna Community Hospital. Elvira was an avid card player, and was always ready to be challenged to a game of sheephead or cribbage. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, bowling, cooking, and baking. Her family will always fondly recall her many gifts of hand made dishtowels, Santa mittens, tree skirts, baby blankets and washcloths.

    Elvira is survived the three children: Barbara (John) Tetzlaff, John (Giovanna) Feller, and Gary (Diane) Feller, all of Kaukauna; a son-in-law: Robert Vanevenhoven of Greenville; ten grandchildren: Keith Vanevenhoven, Michael Vanevenhoven, Sue (Thomas) Vercauteren, Lorie (Kenneth) Deering, Mark (Trisha) Tetzlaff, Brian (Jennifer) Tetzlaff, Sheila Snow, Corey (Amanda) Feller, Heather (Seth) Ponschock, and Albert (Amanda) Van Eyck; and thirty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother: Daniel Conradt of Shawano and a sister-in-law: Irene Yunk of Townsend.

    Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, daughters Myra Vanevenhoven and Donna (Norman) Snow; Robert Vanevenhoven's wife Sue, and infant grandson Robert, sisters Evelyn and Dorothy, and brothers Vilas, Norman, Wilbert, and David, and an infant brother and an infant sister.

    The funeral liturgy for Elvira will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Elder Services, Holy Cross Parish, or Kaukauna Catholic School System.

He was born in Little Chute on June 5, 1936 to the late Ervin and Martha (Hermsen) Vanevenhoven. On January 24, 1959 Robert married Myra Feller at Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna. She preceded him in death on November 28, 1982. He married Susan (Damm) Uecker on January 21, 1989 in Appleton. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2010. Robert enjoyed deer hunting in Big Falls for many years. He also enjoyed reading, cryptogram puzzles, tending to his flowers and bird watching. Robert loved going out for breakfast with his fellow Kimberly-Clark retirees and his family.

    Robert is survived by his children: Keith (Dianne) of Oshkosh; Michael (Susan) of Sobieski; and Susan (Thomas) Vercauteren of Appleton; step children: Jim (Doris) Uecker of Appleton; Kim Uecker of Arkansas; and Jodi Huth of Greenville; grandchildren: Eric (fiancée Cassie Ritchie), Jordan (Maki) and Rebecca Vanevenhoven, Amy and Matthew Vercauteren, Michaela and Gus Vanevenhoven, Nicole and Melanie Uecker, Brianna and Danielle Huth, Austin Shultz, Amber (Tyler) Anderson and Jason Verstegenz; and was happily anticipating the birth of his first great grandchild in December. He is further survived by his siblings: Donald "Chick" Vanevenhoven, Carol Berghuis and Paul (Sue) Vanevenhoven; brothers and sisters-in-law: Janine and Bonnie Vanevenhoven, Barbie (John) Tetzlaff, Gary (Diane) and John (Giovanna) Feller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Vanevenhoven Jr.; Myra's parents, Harold and Elvira Feller; brothers: Jerry and John Vanevenhoven; and sisters and brother-in-law: Donna Vanevenhoven, Donna Snow and Jerry Berghuis.

    Donna Snow, 64, of Kaukauna, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep early on April 8, 2009, while visiting her family in Vernon, British Columbia. Cause of death was due to weak heart muscle.

    Snow was born Donna Mae Feller, on June 9, 1944, in Kaukauna, WI. She was the daughter of Elvira Marie (Conradt) & Harold Walter Feller. She graduated from Holy Cross & Kaukauna High School and resided in Kaukauna most of her life. She was a member of the Holy Cross Parish.

    Donna was married in 1968 and widowed shortly after. She is the mother of one daughter, Sheila Snow and the VERY PROUD Grandmother to three; Isaac Hugh-9, Mikah Marie-6, and Angelica Claire Snow Assaly-4.

    Snow was employed for 20 years by Voith Fabrics in Appleton, and was an Artfaire employee prior to Voith.

    Donna will be fondly remembered and missed for her enormous heart, loud laughter, warmth & generosity, Green Bay Packers support, non-stop photography, scrap books, and cards. She will especially be missed for her "Aunt Donna Days" to many special great nieces and nephews.

    Survived by daughter, Sheila Snow and her grand-children Isaac, Mikah and Angelica; all of Vernon, BC, Canada. Her mother, Elvira Feller, Kaukauna; sister, Barbara (John) Tetzlaff, Kaukauna; brother, John (Giovanna) Feller, Kaukauna; brother, Gary (Diane) Feller, Appleton; brother-in-law, Robert (Sue) Vanevenhoven, Greenville; and Godchild, Lorie (Kenneth) Deering, Kaukauna. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, many friends and co-workers.

    Predeceased by spouse, Norman Snow, father, Harold Feller, and sister, Myra (Rob) Vanevenhoven.

    Donna has requested a party to celebrate her life! Sheila will be coming to Wisconsin to host this party closer to June.

    Her family in Wisconsin has arranged for a memorial service to be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, on Monday, April 20th at 5 p.m. A social will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
