    Yingling, Orville W.
    Orville W. Yingling, 91, of Boulder Lake, died Monday, May 5, 2008, in Langlade Memorial Hospital, Antigo, WI. He was born January 21, 1917, in Kaukauna, WI, Son of the late Frank and Mary (Feller) Yingling. He married Hazel Alft in 1942. She preceded him in death in 1959. He married Beatrice Smits on September 30, 1961, at Kaukauna. She survives. He was raised in Kaukauna and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1935. He was an Eagle Boy Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He received the Ad Altre Dei and the Silver Beaver Awards. Prior to WWII, he assisted in the planning and construction of Gardner Dam Boy Scout Camp at Langlade. During WWII, he served in the China Burma India Theater as a Master Sgt in the Signal Army Air Corps. He worked in Appleton as a Service Foreman for Wisconsin Telephone Company, which later became Wisconsin Bell. He retired in 1975 and moved to Boulder Lake where he was active in Langlade Little League as a coach. In Appleton, he was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society and Boy Scout Master for the church troop.
    He was a member and lector at St. James and Stanislaus Catholic Congregation of White Lake and Langlade. He had a passion for the outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening.
    Surviving are his wife, Bea Yingling Boulder Lake; two daughters: Kathy (Charles) Frisk, Green Bay; Carol (Sam) Hendry, Riverview, FL; four grandchildren: Stacey Frisk, Erin Frisk, Andrea (Dave) Young, Marty Larkee; four great-grandchildren: Rhianna and Doug Young, Skylar and Madison Larkee; a brother, Jim (Joanne) Yingling Laona; a sister Dorothy (Gene) Sage, Chula Vista, AK.
    He was preceded in death by parents, wife Hazel Alft; four brothers: Jerome, Donald, Norbert and Francis Yingling.
    Services will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Langlade, Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Paul Koszarek officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, May 10 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church from 9:30 to 10:30. A memorial has been established. Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo, is assisting with arrangements.     Yingling, Beatrice
    Beatrice Yingling, of Boulder Lake, WI, died Monday, December 8, 2008, at the home of her daughter in Green Bay. She was 92 years old. Born October 3, 1916, in Freedom, to Theodore and Lucy (McDaniel) Smits, she married Orville Yingling on September 30, 1961, in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death on May 5,2008.
    She attended St. Catherine Convent in Racine. She lived in Freedom and Kaukauna and worked for Wisconsin Telephone Company as an assignment clerk for 17 years prior to her marriage in 1961 when she moved to Appleton. Mrs. Yingling moved to Langlade in 1975. In 2008, she moved to Green Bay and lived at Woodside Oaks Apartments where she made many good friends. She was a member of St. James and Stanislaus Catholic Congregation in White Lake and Langlade and a member of the St. Zita Altar Society. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and baking cookies.
    Survivors include two daughters: Kathy (Charles) Frisk, Green Bay; Carol (Sam) Hendry, Riverview, FL; four grandchildren: Stacey Frisk, Erin Frisk, Andrea (Dave) Young, Marty Larkee; four great-grandchildren: Rhianna and Doug Young, Skylar and Madison Larkee; two sisters: Loretta Schmalz, Kaukauna, Dorothy Rebitz, Atlanta,, GA; three brothers: Kenneth Smits, Menasha, Floyd Smits, Kaukauna, Norval (Betty) Smits, De Pere.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers: Theodore and Gerald; one sister Angeline Brugman.
    Services will be held on December 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St.Stanislaus Catholic Church in Langlade with Rev. David Kiefer officiating.   • Note: Yingling, Hazel (Aft) 1959 Shawano Evening Leader dated 6/4/1959; Woman From Appleton Dies of Injuries An Appleton woman became Shawano county's fifth road fatality of 1959 last night when she died of injuries suffered in a one car accident on the Menominee Indian reservation Sunday evening. The victim was Mrs. Orville Yingling, 44. Mrs. Yingling was a passenger in the 1956 Chevrolet station wagon that struck a tree at 8 p.m. Sunday, eleven miles north of Keshena on highway 55. Orville Yingling, the driver of the car, and three children were also hurt in the mishap, but are reported in satisfactory condition. Mrs. Yingling, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the local hospital where she had been confined since the accident. Mrs. Yingling was the former Hazel Alft, daughter of Mrs. Susan Alft, White Lake and the late John Alft, Sr. She was born July 1, 1914 at Shawano. Her home was at Appleton where she had been active in the Christian Mothers, the Home School Association and the VFW Auxillary. She leaves her husband and three children, Cathy, Carl and Timothy. All were in the car together at the time of the accident. The children have been released from the Shawano Municipal Hospital, but Mr. Yingling is still a patient there. She also leaves her mother and her brothers and sisters. In charge of arrangements at Shawano is the Born-Schweers Funeral home. Funeral arrangments are in charge of the Wichmann Funeral home in Appleton. Services will be conducted at St. Theresa Catholic Church in that city at 10 a.m. Saturday. Internment will be in the St. Joseph cemetery.

    On August 27, 1955 in Kaukauna he married Joann Driessen. He worked at International Paper for 41 years retiring in 1994 at which time they moved to Laona where he could golf more often. His hobbies include golfing and cutting the grass.

    He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joann of Laona
